Servicing of DG Set 320 KVA capacity of Make- Kirloskar, taking down worn out replaceable parts such as fuel filters (Primary and secondary) wth 'O' rings assy, by pass filter wth 'O' rings assembly, lub oil filter wth 'O' rings assembly, air cleaner filters,water separators filters, lub oil flexible pipe, hose turbo, clamps etc and replacing the same with same size, make and capacity of parts, including testing of DG Set to entire satisfaction of Engr-in Charge. Note:- (i) Spare parts shall be measured and paid for saperately under respective items here in after. (ii) Servicing shall be carried out by OEM or authorised agent of manufacturer as approved by GE.

Disconnecting and taking down the defective self starter of any make from the DG set , dismantling the same to take out defective parts and repairing by replacement of carbon brushes, armature coil, field coil, bush, bearings and bendix pinion, clutch assembly and other related components, reassembling & shifting to original location, refixing on the DG set , making all connections and testing for smooth functioning complete all as directed for DG set of capacity 20 KVA to 125 KVA. Note :- Self starter of same type and capacity shall be arranged by the contractor and fixed at the DG set for the duration the original one is under repairs. Unit rate quoted will be deemed to include the expenditure for the same and no extra payment shall be made on this part.

Supply and replacement of ( AVR ) automatic voltage regulator Diode forward and reverse, rotating rectifier assembly, half wave phase controlled thyristor type, complete all as per existing type & size for the 20 KVA to 125 KVA capacity of DG set complete all as specified.

Disconnecting and taking down the leaking radiator from DG set engine for repairs , cleaning the complete radiator for detecting the leakage and repairing the leaking portion (Tubes/fins/tank etc) by soldering/brazing ,cleaning of all water tube with suitable cleaning agent & water preasure & removing the complete sludge and dust from inside the tank, replacing worn out hose pipes & clamps etc, shifting & refixing at original site and testing for proper working complete all directed for 20 KVA to 125 KVA capacitiy of DG set.

All as per item No 46 here-in-before but capacity 160 KVA to 200 KVA.

Disconnecting and taking down the defective dynamo from the DG set engine for repairs, strip opening to remove unserviceable parts, repairing by replacing of armature coil, carbon brush, field coil, clutch patti bearing, refixing magnetic steel laminates, replacing pole head and pole shoe, bearing of shaft ball/roller/sleeve type and other related items, of assembly, re-assembling and refxing the same on original position and testing complete for 20 to 125 KVA DG set complete all as specified.

All as per item No 49 here-in-before but capacity 160 KVA to 200 KVA.

M & L for opening the tappet covers of the engine of the DG set of capacity 20 KVA to 125 KVA of any make and carry out repair works such as checking and adjustment of tappet clearance, cleaning piston and cylinder heads by removing carbon deposits , checking general condition of the engine, checking and adjustment of operating parameters, checking and adjustment of fuel timings, checking and adjustment of fault warning system, checking & tightening of various fasteners and connections, refixing the tappet covers incl replacing the worn out gaskets/nuts/bolts/washers etc complete all as directed.

All as per item No 52 here-in-before but capacity 160 KVA to 200 KVA.

Material and labour of overhauling of injecter nozzles including replacement of nozzles, washers, etc and pressure setting as required and replacement of timing shaft with coupling all as directed by Engineer-in-charge for DG set of capacity 20 KVA to 125 KVA

Disconnecting and taking down the fuel pump from the DG engine and repair & calibration of FIP of flollowing DG Sets including replacement of plungers, washer manifold, injection nozzles etc all as required and testing after refixing on engine and setting the rated RPM all as specified and directed for 20 KVA to 125 KVA capacity DG set.

M&L for draining out the engine oil from the sump, opening the sump cover cleaning properly to remove old oil stocked to the surfaces, replacing the worn out gaskets/ nuts /bolts / washers & refixing the sump cover complete all as directed for 20 KVA to 125 KVA capacity DG set engine complete all as directed.

Supply & filling engine oil grade 15W/40 premium grade complete all as directed. Make: Servo/ Shell/ Castrol/ HP or equivalent approved by GE.

Supply and filling distilled water for filling in batteries for top up complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for draining out old coolant from the engine radiators of DG Sets of any capacity and make, flushing the radiator tubes with distilled water and finally with new coolant, refixing the drain plug properly and filling the complete radiator with new pre mixed coolant complete all as specified and as directed. Make : Servo/HP/Castrol or equivalent approved by GE

Supply and fixing in repairs heavy duty copper cable battery leads (as per sample ) compete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing in repairs heavy duty brass terminals (as per sample) suitable for battery terminals compete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for cleaning the in-built diesel tanks of 320 KVA capacity DG set by emptying the tank using suction pump of suitable capacity, washing the internal walls & bottom with diesel to remove any dust / deposits etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L earthing complete with galvanized steel plate electrode 60cmx60cmx6mm surrounded by charcoal & salt buried directly in a pit of depth not less than 2.25m below ground level with top edge of the earth plate at a depth of not less than 1.50m below ground level, connected to and including GI srtip 32x6mm. upto 7.5m length by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts & washers of galvanized iron, earth wire protected by galvanized steel pipe 15mm bore (medium grade) & connected to main control board including necessary excavation & earth work, disposal of surplus soil not exceeding 50m, in any type of soil. (The rate also includes for cost of charcoal & salt in alternate layers of 15 cm thickness, 20 mm bore GI pipe (medium grade) for watering, funnel, wiremesh, PCC chamber in cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1, CI cover & frame etc) complete all as indicated in electric plate No 3 of SSR 2009 Part I including testing complete all as specified and as directed. Note- (i) Earthing result/data sheet will be prepared by the Contractor and submitted to Engineer-in-charge. Earth resistance shall be to the entire satisfaction of engineer-in-charge and contractor will make all arrangements & provisions to get the desired reduction of resistance by artificial treatment/replacement of soil etc at no extra cost to department.

Attending defective/ non functional DG Set complaints of capacty 20 KVA to 320 KVA (all type of alarms displayed on screen of the control panel) by service engineers/technically qualified teams from respective OEMs for rectify the defects by made adjustments/settings in control panel, repairing and/ or replacing the defective parts/electrical items of any type as per existing, checking of connections, testing and DG Set should working in good conditions etc complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : Srl Item No 100 above:- (a) On receiving of complaint, it should be attended by service Engineer /rep of OEM within 2 Hrs, if not attended penalty @ Rs 500 per hour will be recovered from contractor. Failure on the part of contractor to make the DG Set functional on very same day after receipt of complaint penalty @ Rs 3000 per day will be recovered from contractor. (b) All type of T & , minor nuts/bolts/washers etc required for maintaining the services shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to department.

M/L for Shifting of 20 KVA to 320 KVA Kirloskar Green Canopy type DG Set complete with all its attachments (by dismantling and refixing of its sensitive parts as required) using suitable mechanical pulling / lifting devices / cranes etc from its original location and relocating to a new position within 1 KM by disconnection of its power supply cables from its existing location and reconnection at new location by providing all requisite connection materials and all as directed by Engr-in-charge.
