Repair to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1.00 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by screened and graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal), complete all as specified and directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled,macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces exceeding 50 mm but not exceeding 100 mm deep , area not exceeding 400 sqm complete all as specified and directed.

Water bound macadam 75mm compacted thickness in single layer , with broken stone garading 3, 50 mm to 20mm size, spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required including necessary lateral support and formwork if required, using curshed stone coarse aggregate (grantie / trap / basalt) and well rammed and rolled using 8 to 12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed.

Preparation of unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bag to remove all loose dirt etc, and including applying evenly a priming / tack coat with paving bitumen of grade VG-10 at the rate of 10kg per 10 sq.m, complete all as specified and as directed.

Premix bituminious macadam binder content 4% paving bitumen laid /rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber consolidated /compacted thickness 50 mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Premixed bituminous semi dense ashphaltic concrete (mixed in hot mix plant ) 30mm consolidated thickness, using paving bitumen of Grade VG - 30 as binder with 5.5% minimum binder content by weight of total mix and laying with mechanical paver, rolled and compacted with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity to required camber and gradient, complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparing old black top surfaces with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bag to remove all loose dirt etc, and including applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bituminous primer of grade VG 10 at the rate of 5kg per 10 sq.m and laying Premixed bituminous semi dense ashphaltic concrete 30mm consolidated thickness, using paving bitumen of Grade VG - 30 (mixed in hot mix plant ) as binder with 5.5% minimum binder content by weight of total mix and laying with mechanical paver, rolled and compacted with power road roller of 8 to 12 ton capacity to required camber and gradient, complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE for SL ITEM NO. 6 & 7 here-in-before:- (i) Contractor shall get the design mix carried out from sources specified here - in - after and execute work using bitumen content as per actual design mix. In case bitumen content required as per design mix varies with 5.5% as specified, less / excess quantity of paving bitumen shall be regularised vide Sl. Item No. 8.00 of BOQ here-in-after. (ii) Cost of carrying out design mix shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item.

Add or deduct extra / less binder content by weight of total mix to be used in bituminous Semi-dense Asphaltic concrete, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE:- The quantity shall be decided as per the job formula of semi-dense asphaltic concrete.

Surface excavation not exceeding 30cm deep and getting out in hard /dense soil complete all as specified and directed .

Moorum /red bajri filling in berms spread ,levelled ,rolled and consolided to gradient and camber required spread thickness 100mm complete all as specified and directed . Note: Moorum/ red bajri shall be brought from out of defence land .

Hardcore of broken stone or boulders of gauge not exceeding 63mm, deposited, spread and levelled in layers not exceeding 15cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface, complete all as specified and directed.

PCC 1:4:8 type D2 (40mm graded stone aggregate), 100mm thick as in sub-bases to floors, complete all as specified and directed.

150mm thick cement concrete work in pavement/ hard-standing of flexural strength 40 kg/ per square centimeter in field using 400 kg of cement per cubic metre including steel shuttering as required complete all as specified and directed.

Forming construction joints 30mm deep x 10 mm wide , filled with sealed with sealing compound, Grade ‘A’ complete all as specified and directed.

Forming 20mm thick expansion joints filled with pre-formed bituminous filler and top 30mm primed and sealed with sealing compound, Grade ‘A’, in concrete slab of 150mm thickness, complete all as specified and directed.

Forming Construction (Dummy) joint 25 mm deep x 10mm wide filled with sealing compound, Grade ‘A’, complete all as specified and directed.

Preparation of black bituminous road surfaces and applying thermo plastic road marking paint of 2.50mm thick for making centre-line, lane der line, zebra crossing lines etc., as directed with an applicator machine and heated mixer, with stirring mechanism at temperature 160 degree celcius, laid uniformly with and as directed , paint conforming to IS-3262 Part I & II of 1989 etc., and shall be conforming to Section 803.4.2 of MORTH, complete as per manufacturer's instructions, all as specified and directed. MAKE (of thermo plastic road marking paint) : ASIAN LTD / AUTOMAT ROAD SAFETY PVT LTD / AUTOMARK TECHNOLOGIES INDIA PVT LTD NOTE:- Colour of paint shall be as approved by GE.

Cat eye ,road stud ,ABC body confirming to IRC 67-1977 having load capacity of 40 tones giving reflection on both sides and fixing with epoxy complete all as specified and directed. Make : 3M / AVERY / DARK EYE / SIGNTECH

Dismantling wrought iron or mild steel work of any description complete all as specified and directed.

Excavating in post holes (or similar holes) each n exc 0.5 cu. m, getting out, returning filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm watering and removing surplus soil to a disatance not exceeding 50m and making good the surface complete all as specified and directed.

PCC 1:2:4 type B2 (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundation filling and mass concrete, complete all as specified and directed.

Mild steel rolled sections as in posts with angles ot tee section or joist confirming to Fe 410 W GDE (E 250 Quality A) complete all as specified and directed.

Preparation of new steel surfaces of any description over 10cm in width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide/ zinc chrome primer, complete all as specified and directed.

Excavating in trenches, not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5metre in depth; for foundations, cesspits, manholes and sewage lines, etc. or for laying of pipes, or for removal / laying of cables etc., not exceeding 10 sq m on plan and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft / disintegrated rock , including trimming the sides and forming bottom surface to the required level / slope etc., complete all as specified and directed.

PCC 1:3:6 type C2 using 40mm graded aggregate as in Concrete bed to drain pipes including packing under and haunching against the sides of pipes after they are laid and tested in bore of pipe 600mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Reinforced concrete pipes 600mm bore , class NP2, laid and jointed complete with collars complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in, in soils, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm., complete all as specified and directed.

Removing surplus excavated soils to distance of exceeding 250 m but not exceeding 500m and deposting depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of brick / concrete block walling /stone /boulder masonry built in cement mortar including all quoins ,arches,pillars but excluding ashlars facings ,dressed stone work and precast concrete articles complete all as specified and directed.

Rough excavation not exceeding 1.5metre deep and getting out in hard / dense soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Excavating over areas, not exceeding 1.5metre deep and getting out in soft/disintegrated rock complete all as specified and directed.

Walling of random rubble masonry ,uncoursed ,well bonded ,bedded and solidly hearted built in CM 1:6 but except stone complete all as specified and directed. Note: Stones will be used obtained from demolition .

Extra over stone walling for hammer dressing to face stones and dressing of face beds and joints,as specified, of random rubble walling,uncoursed brought upto courses with maximum depresion not exceeding 40 mm when straight edge held against the dressed surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Keyed pointing to random rubble ,uncoursed or brought to courses stone masonry in CM 1:3 complete all as specified and directed.

PCC 1:2:4 type B 1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate as in coping including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating including use and waste of form work complete all as specified and as directed.

External angles (for quoins and jambs) in facings for waIling of random rubble or polygonal rubble, uncoursed or brought upto courses and squared rubble masonry, regular coursed complete all as specified and as directed.

PVC (SWR) 110 mm bore pipes single socketed, in any length laid in walls as in weep holes complete all as specified and directed.

Precast cement concrete block masonry with solid blocks, (1:2:4) type B1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) exc. 10cm in width and setting in mortar (1:6) complete, complete all as specified and directed.

Rendering 15mm thick in cement mortar (1:4) on fair faces of concrete surfaces, finished even and smooth without using extra cement, complete all as specified and directed.
