Extension of casing pipes, as per technical specifications and as per tender documents:
Earth work in excavation by mechanical means using hydraulic excavator/ manually, over areas eexceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan, including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead up to 50 m and lift up to 1.5 m, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Extra for every additional lift of 1.5 m or part thereof in excavation/ banking excavated or stacked materials.
Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20 cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead up to 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.
Extra for every additional lift of 1.5 m or part thereof in excavation/ banking excavated or stacked materials. (Refer Annexure-A) ( for backfilling of earthwork)
Mechanical compaction of earth of area 29 x 17 m (maximum) upto depth of 9 m (maximum) with contractor's power rollers, vibratory plate compactor, vibro-tamper, power rammer and other necessary equipments of suitable capacity, size and type in layer by layer including cost of water, all tools and tackles, labourers etc. to the satisfaction of EIC/SE to achieve specified density confirming to the IS codes and RDSO Guidelines. Prior to execution of the specific job, all the required guidelines and codes can be collected by the contractor.
Fabrication, fitment and welding of owner supplied 18 inch diameter casing pipes after applying two coats of corrosion resistant bituminus lead free black paint confirming to IS: 9862, then by welding of the piece lengths (as per requirement) and uniformly cutting in two equal halves of length 6 m each and erection of them over the existing main line pipes at railways crossing and welding the casing pipes at split joints after fixing metallic backstrip of width 10-15 mm and thickness 2-3 mm for the complete welding length as per drawing and direction of Site engineer/EIC, totally making it suitable for welding, arranging for power source (DG) at site, supply of all equipments like welding machine, cutting machine, grinding machine, electrodes; welding of sleeves at site on axial and longitudinal lengths of the sleeves, consumables, labour etc. required to complete the work in all respect as per the specifications and directions of Site Engineer/ Engineer-in-Charge. Total length of the casing pipe 70.5m & divided into 35.5m & 35m sections. (A). Logitudinal length of welding of casing: Length in each section to weld (70.5 m)x no. of sides to be welded in each section (2)x no. of circumferential welding (0)= 141 m. (B). Circumferential length of welding of casing: Length in each section to weld (1.436 m)x no. of sides to be welded in each section (0)x no. of circumferential welding (10)= 14.36 m. (C). Welding length considered for fitting the reducer (from 18" to 16") of approximate 0.6 m length for both HM and MR casing pipes: Length in each section to weld (0.6 m)x no. of sides to be welded in each section (6)x no. of circumferential welding (2)= 6.47 m. (D). Additional length of welding considered for vent pipe, water collecting pot etc is 2 m.
Supply and fixing of open type end seals of Mideast Pipelines Product make or equivalent. The casing pipes including proper clamping for carrier pipe of 12.75" OD, as per direction of the Site Engineer/EIC,
Supply and fixing of casing insulators of Mideast Pipelines Product make or equivalent in between carrier pipe of 12.75" OD and 18" dia of casing pipes, including proper clamping as per the direction of the Site Engineer/EIC.
Test Lead Point (Type D with ingress protection IP:55) : Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of Test Lead Point (TLP) fabricated MS Sheet (Thickness : 3 mm top/side/rear/front & 5 mm : Bottom plates) with hinged front door, Heavy Guage MS pipe 100 mm nominal diameter, Phenolic laminated terminal plate, brass terminal bolts, neoprene gasket for front door, vandal proof concealed lock, etc as per latest revision of Standard AFC drawing (9200-99900-404-603-00 : STD-483). The work includes providing requisite concrete foundation of 600 mm x 600 mm x 800 mm at site, including MS hard pipe for cable entry through foundation, erection of the TLP over concrete foundation, termination of cables to the brass terminal bolts inside TLP box, jointing the cables to pipe (using cad welding/ pin brazing technique), repairing the damage to coat & wrap (with coating repair etc.), back filling the trenches, cleaning the site, applying epoxy paint / powder coating etc. The work also includes supply, installation, laying & termination of all XLPE, armoured Cu cables of required length (as per site conditions) and size, lugs etc. The work includes supply and fixing of a non-corrosive name plate containing the details like KM location, identification, TLP No., direction of flow, connection scheme, type etc., on the side of the TLP box, etc. Complete with tools, tackles & other necessary requirement. The work complete in all respects including all materials, tools, tackles, labour as per tender specifications, AFC drawings & directions of the Site Engineer/Engineer-In-Charge.
Providing and installing RCC (1:1.5:3) boundary pillars as per drawings on both edges of the ROW and/or as directed, including supply of all materials necessary for the fabrication of the pillars, casting and inscribing the pillars, excavation of earth, fixing the pillars & backfilling, applying two coats of oil paint over one coat of cement based primer on exposed surface and work, labour, inputs & materials/ consumables necessary to perform and complete the work in all respect under the contract and as per directions of Site Engineer.
Supply of all materials necessary for fabrication and installation of KILOMETER POST at the locations as per specifications, excavating & grouting in cement concrete 1:3:6, and all other works necessary for fabrication & installation of the markers including cleaning, priming & applying two coats of coal tar based epoxy paint on underground portions, supply and application of one coat of primer and two coats of epoxy paint of approved colour and quality on overground portion, stencil letter cutting for number, chainage etc. and restoration of site to original condition and all other acts, deeds, matters and things and work, labour, inputs and materials/ consumables necessary to perform and complete the work in all respects as per approved drawing & specifications and as per direction of Site Engineer / Engineer-in-Charge.
Supply of all materials necessary for fabrication and installation of WARNING SIGN at the locations as per specifications, excavating & grouting in cement concrete 1:3:6, and all other works necessary for fabrication & installation of the markers including cleaning, priming & applying two coats of coal tar based epoxy paint on underground portions, supply and application of one coat of primer and two coats of epoxy paint of approved colour and quality on overground portion, stencil letter cutting for number, chainage etc. and restoration of site to original condition and all other acts, deeds, matters and things and work, labour, inputs and materials/ consumables necessary to perform and complete the work in all respects as per approved drawing & specifications and as per direction of Site Engineer / Engineer-in-Charge.
Cleaning/grading of ROW, Earthwork in excavation upto 2.5m depth in all type of soil including hard murrum, rock etc. not requiring blasting but may require mechanical means for required length of stretch along the pipeline trench to a width and depth as per tender specifications and/or directed by Engineer-In-Charge and/or as required for the works including dressing of side and bottom and dewatering of the trench for sub soil or any other water collected in the excavated trench as per tender specifications and/or directed by Engineer-In-Charge to enable the coat and wrap group to carry out the desired work, removal of old coat and wrap and making surface preparation by copper slag blasting conforming to SA 2-1/2 or US specification SSPC. SP-10 or British standard BS 4232 2nd quality or equivalent, tape coating of the pipeline with owner supplied cold applied tape, primer & mastic putty as per tender specifications and/or directed by Engineer-In-Charge/Site Engineer, including subsequent holiday testing etc., priming, coating & wrapping of left out portion of skid supports if employed on to the pipe trench bottom including backfilling upto 2.5m depth using layers of soft earth screen by mesh/sieve equivalent over the pipe surface and completing the backfilling while ensuring that pipe does not sink resulting in its tension as specified in the specification and clean up as directed by Engineer-In-Charge/ Site Engineer and restoration of the cleared area of the ROW to the satisfaction of Engineer-In-Charge/Site Engineer including all cost of labour (and watchman at site), materials, carriage, leads & lifts, tools & tackles etc. complete in all respect.
Hiring of compressor and demoisturisation of existing vent before erection of new casing all complete as per the satisfaction of EIC
Providing & supplying watchman at site for security of pipeline at odd hours for 8 hrs duty as per the direction of SiteEngineer/Engineer-In-Charge (considering 3 watchmen per day for 60 days)
Pumping out of water from ponds, pits. Trenches etc. by contractors own pump (5HP) with all labour, tools, tackles, hose, manpower, consumables, fuel etc, complete in all respect as per direction of EIC
Close timbering (by eucaluptus bullah) in trenches including strutting, shoring and packing cavities (wherever required) complete in all respect & removing timbers completely after completion of job as per direction of EIC(Measurements to be taken of the face area timbered). Depth exceeding 3.0 m but not exceeding 5 m
