Laying, jointing and testing in trenches to be levelled to grade G.I. pipes of following dia (Heavy class) conforming to IS:1239-2012(Part - I ) (latest upto date amendments) of wall thickness as specified below, suitable to withstand required hydraulic test pressure in randum length 4 m-6 m with plain ends and jointed with MS Flanges conforming to IS:6392-1971 (latest upto date amendments) and welding of flanges as per IS: 816-1969 with electrodes as per IS:814-1991 including required number and size of MS nuts and bolts as per IS 1369-1967 and compressed asbestos fibre jointing gaskets sheet not less than 3.00mm in thickness as per IS:2712-1998.The MS flanges are to be provided 1% of totaljoints and remaining 99% shall be butt welded joints. The welding of flanges to be done on both faces in two layers on outer face & one layer on inner face to make the joints leak proof and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. The laying of Pipes shall confirm to IS 5822-1994 and as per CPHEEO manual and will include all operations such as cutting, welding and jointing including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge including entire carriage of materials upto all leads and lifts. (Earth work in trenches &, flanged joints will be measured and paid for separately).

Providing and welding M.S. Plate flanges at suitable point, conforming to following tables as per IS 6392-1971 (Latest with up to date amendments) as per IS:6392-1971 (Latest with upto date amendments) and welding of MS Flanges with G.I. Pipes/ MSERW pipes in two layers on both faces to make the joint leak proof (The cost of providing and laying of G.I.Pipes/MSERW Pipes to be measured and paid for separately). Submerssible Pumping Machinery:- Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of of star rated energy efficient Submersible pumping set of KSB/Calama/ WPIL/ Crompton/BS/ SABAR/ Oswal/ Kirloskar or any other approved make conforming to latest relevant BIS Code 8034:1976. The pump should be fitted with bronze impeller or suitable alloys suitable for handling Clear water having greased packed bearings and shaft with wound stator on motor side and with soft protection sleeve on pump side ensuring better life for shaft coupled to a submersible squirrel cage electric induction motor (water proof type) of required HP & 2900/1450 rpm of reputed make conforming to BIS 9283-1979 latest with upto date amendments, totally dust and water proof for submersible duty isolated from the pump by intermediate casing with double mechanical seal in oil chamber and grease packed lubricated bearings and provided with stainless steel thrust bearing plate to with stand non vertical loads with minimum wear and tear. It should also be fitted with a device to take up expansion of water with the heating of motor. The pump set should include water level guards, erection clamps , cable clips, depth gauge NRV & Sluice valves of approved class etc. The work should be completed to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in – Charge. The design/drawings of Pumping Machinery is to be got approved by L-1 Contractor from the competent authority before placing supply order for the same after finalisation of tender.The rates shall be for complete Job to run the machinery in proper working. The pumping machinery & its accessories/valves/piping work etc. shall be as under and should meet the following requirements. (i) Sluice Valves/Reflux Valves to be provided on delivey line:- These shall be double flanged valves of approved make & size of valves shall be same as dia of Rising Main or one size higher than delivery size of offered pump.The class of valves shall be cast steel ASA-300 and shall confirm to relevent BIS code or ASA specifications. There shall be 1 No Sluice Valve and 1 No NRV. (iii) Piping work & Delivery pipes to connect with Rising main) :- The delivery pipe shall be capable to with stand total dynamic pressure + surge pressure or 1.5 times the total dynamic pressure whichever is more & it shall have minimum wall thickness of 4.80 mm jointed with flanged joints of suitable flange table at every three meters. It shall also include the cost of providing, laying, jointing of column pipe with rising main through delivery pipe of same class & dia as of column pipe, testing & commissiuoning including all types of bends & other accessories etc. (iii) Power shunt Capactor:- Capacotors shall be of suitable KVAR so as to improve power factor to 0.95 or above. (iv) Pannel Board:- It shall be of suitable size & capable to accomodate all electrical accessories such as ampare meter,Volt meter ,ELCB,ACB/OCB busbar i/c i frequency metre,hour run meter indicator lampand ITCP switches,earthing arramngement and cable for supply and motor side of appropriate size and specification complete etc. (v) Starters:- Starters shall be of approved make & of suitable rating suitable of safe running and operation of given motor or pumping machinery It shall be mounted on panel board with magnetic type over load release & dashpot, time lag,under voltage release with initial oil filling if required.

Submersible stage:- 1 set (1 working & 1 standbye) for duty condition discharge of = 1.39 LPS with Total Head of = 230.50 mtr. Static Head:- 150 Rmt. The BHP is to be offered by the bidder & rate shall be filled in by the contractor per set.
