The work shall be executed in a manner that maintains the line, level, longitudinal profile, cross-fall and camber of the underlying pavement without causing damage or disturbance to the underlying base/sub-base or concrete pavement. The milled surface shall be left clean, uniform, and suitable for laying subsequent bituminous layers. The item includes: Surveying and marking of milling limits; Milling of the existing bituminous layer to the specified depth; Collection, loading, transportation and disposal of surplus milled material (RAP) to the designated location for all leads and lifts, or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge; Thorough cleaning of the milled surface using mechanical broom, air compressor or other approved means; Rectification of localized damages, depressions, loose patches or distress exposed after milling using approved bituminous materials, wherever required; Maintaining traffic and providing all necessary safety measures during execution; all labour, machinery, fuel, tools, plants, incidentals and other operations required to complete the work. The work shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of MoRTH Specifications (Latest Revision), IRC:SP:100 (Use of Cold Milling Machine for Asphalt Pavement), IRC:37, IRC:81 and other applicable IRC guidelines, complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) generated from cold milling shall become the property of the contractor.
