C-Supply & Execution Items
Boring & trenchless, cabling along with supply and insertion of Double walled corrugated HDPE ducts as per RDSO spec. no. RDSO/SPN/SPN/204/2011 ver.1.1 and amendment 1 1 or latest with 90mm outside dia. and 67mm minimum inside dia. in the bore for laying of signaling/telecom/power cables under the track/road. The following required coupling arrangement should also be supplied: 1. Suitable snap fit couplers with rubber O ring 2. Spacers 3. Tees 4. Bend 5. End cap etc. to be supplied along with the pipe. Work at site shall be inspected by Site engineer & DWC HDPE pipe and associated material to be inspected by RDSO.
Supply and laying of 2nd class bricks in the trench and laying as per drg. No. NR/S&T/CON/1.1/97-A or latest and as per instructions of the site Engineer. (Bricks to be inspected by consignee)
Supply and making of Thermo-shrinkable straight through joint using jointing kit 3 complete for underground 6 quad cable with complete accessories as per RDSO specification no. IRS: TC 77-2012, Rev. 3, Amendment 1, 2 & 3 or latest if any. This shall be done as per instructions of site engineer at site. This included excavation of jointing pit and materials needed for making a joint. (Inspection: Consignee).
Supply and installation of thermo-shrink jointing kit for 6 quad PIJF cable as per RDSO 4 spec. No. IRS: TC 77/2012 (Rev.3.0) with Amdt.-1 & 2 & 3 or latest and provision of derivation joints with the help of thermo-shrink jointing kit. This includes excavation of jointing pit and all materials required for making a joint as per instructions by Railway Engineer at site. (Inspection:RDSO)
Fabrication, supply and fixing of cable marker of 1:3:6 cement, sand, coarse & concrete as per drg. No NR/S&T/CON/1.5/97-A or latest. The marker shall be fixed at various places of cable route as per instructions of Engr. at site
Supply, installation and commissioning of maintenance free separate earthing kit as per RDSO spcn. no. RDSO/SPN/197 Ver. 1.0 or latest and drg. no. SDO/RDSO/E&B/002 dated 19.09.2008 or latest. Basic earthing kit-1 set consisting of [a]The earth electrode shall be UL listed and of minimum 17.0mm diameter and minimum 3 Meter long and minimum copper bonding 6 thickness shall be of 250 microns of 99.9% electrolyte grade copper.-01 nos. [b] earth enhancing compound RDSO approved in sealed bags of 10 kgs each-03 nos. minimum [c]SEEB 150mmx25mmx6mm-01 No. [d]MEEB 300mmx25mmx6mm-01 no. [e] 35 sq. mm. copper cable to connect earth electrode to MEEB-15 mtrs approx. and all other materials and cables required for installation. Work to be carried out in supervision of Site engineer. Supply and installation of earth electrodes pipe of 3 mtrs length and 50 mm dia. pointed on lower end by tapering for a length of 150 mm and connecting with lightening arrester or signaling gears as per std. Practice. The item includes digging of pit in earth, 3 Mtrs. Deep and fixing earth electrode pipe in it. Earth pipe shall be buried in the ground to the length of 2.7 mtrs. after welding 6 SWG wire at lower end and fixing through nut and bolt at top. Casting of cement of 7 Cement concrete enclosures as per drg. No. NR/S&T/CON/6.4/97. The soil treatment shall be done as per std. pratice. The item includes provision of earth lead wires/mild steel flat and soldering of lead wires. The other end of the earth wire/mild steel flat to be connected to block instrument mild steel flat, cable sheath of power equipment, apparatus case, relay racks, other equipments as per the instruction of Engr. at site & IRSEM. Complete materials such as earth electrodes as per drg. No. NR/S&T/CON/6.3/97, cement, wiring material, soldering material, mild steel flat, earth lead wires 6 SWG and soldering of lead wires etc. to be supplied by the contractor. Supply and installation of 20 pair DP boxes & termination of cables as per specifications and drawings stipulated in the tender documents. This includes fixing of same on 1" 8 thick board of size as per direction of site engineer with grouted nuts and bolts of suitable size and pipe fixed with clamps on pole/wall. All materials required for the fixing and termination including salwood/hylum board and the hardware required for fixing will be supplied by the contractor. (Inspection: Consignee)
Supply and fixing of G.I Pipe with 76.6 mm maximum and 75.3 mm minimum outside dia. and 3.6 mm thickness, as per spcn. no. D-Execution Items
Installation, testing, wiring and commissioning of HASSDAC as per RDSO spcn. No. RDSO/SPN/177/2012 Ver. 3.0 or latest complete set. The axle counter will be of high availability single section type with two detector points and it is possible to install it without trolley protection track circuit. Installation to be done by OEM or RDSO approved source as per the installation manual. 1 The wire and other materials shall be arranged by the contractor at site. It involves following- (a) Mounting of Track side digital axle counter unit- 2 Nos. (b) Fixing of vital relays etc. duly wired- 2 Nos. (c) Clamp with deflector plates and hardware for mounting of sets of 2 set Tx & Rx coils. (d) Resetting arrangement of each axle counter. (e) All the wiring material required for installation shall be arranged by the contractor. (f) This also includes integration with Existing SGE/Token-less Block instruments required as per instructions of the site engineer. (Inspection: Consignee)
Installation, testing and commissioning of block proving by digital axle counter as per RDSO specification no. IRS: S-105/2012 Ver. 0 or latest using UFSBI and block panel. Wiring material (16*0.02 mm flexible wire etc.) and any other signaling material required for installation and 2 commissioning of system shall be supplied by the contractor. The installation activity will be considered complete only after work has been made functional to the satisfaction of the site engineer. Installation, testing and commissioning to be done by OEM or RDSO approved source as per the installation manual and pre commissioning check list should also be duly signed by OEM, contractor and the Railway. (Inspection: Consignee)
Installation of VF transformers with suitable fixtures, 32-way link panel with U-links (2 sets/stn) and wiring. (Supply of all fixtures and other associated material for installation shall be done by contractor). (Inspection: Site engineer)
Casting, concreting and curing of foundation and erection of App. Cases Large as per 4 drg. No. NR/S&T/CON/2.7/97 or latest. All materials such as cement, sand, aggregate and anchor bolts shall be supplied by the contractor. Contractor is required to execute all type of repair works of foundations if required during inserting the cable for termination. All concrete work must be ratio of cement, coarse sand and aggregate 1:3:6. (Inspection: Site Engineer)
Preparation of Apparatus Case Large not involving wiring of relays. This involves following: Preparation & fixing of Bakelite hylum sheet 910x800x6mm and teak wooden shelf 900mm x 450mm x 25mm duly fixed by angle iron piece of different size inside all the app. Cases. Hylum board shall be fixed on an angle iron frame of 25mm x 25mm x 3mm. Angle iron frame will be fixed in location boxes secured by nuts & bolts. Fixing of fuses, ARA terminal shelf type Q series relays and other type relays on square bars fixing and jamming of cables with 2 inch thick salwood plank provided at the bottom. This will include opening, pasting and jamming armour of each cable in the hole drilled separately for each cable through the salwood plank & all cable entry points on location boxes, location huts, JB's relay room/battery room to be closed with suitable masonry works covered with sand and plastering. Description for terminal drawing of circuits, inside app. Case. Painting from outside as well inside with red oxide and aluminum paint is covered separately. Size of 5 lettering will be 100mm or as per instructions of Engineer at site. All materials including hard wood shelf, hylum board, salwood plank, angle iron square bar, wire and wiring material as per the IRS specn., non- deteriorating type HRC fuses, bases, nuts and bolts and other items shall be supplied by the contractor. (ii)Fixing of fuse ARA terminal, shelf type Q series relays and other type of relays on square bars, fixing and jamming of cable with 2 inch thick salwood plank 7 provided at the bottom. This will include opening, twisting and jamming armor of each cable in the hole drilled separately for each cable through the salwood plank and of cable entry points on location boxes, location nuts JB's relays room battery/room to be closed with suitable masonry work covered with sand & plastering. (iii)Wiring description for terminal, drawing of circuits inside app. Case. Painting from outside as well inside with RED oxide aluminum paint is covered separately. Size of lettering as per instructions of Engr. at site. (iv)All material including teak wood shelf, hylum board, salwood plank, angle iron square bar, wire and wiring material as per the IRS spec. Non deteriorating type HRC fuses and bases nuts and bolts and other items shall be supply by the contractor. Relays, ARA terminals only shall be supplied by the railways. (Inspection: Site Engineer)
Excavating and refilling of trench 0.3 Mtrs. wide & 1 Mtr. deep from bottom of rail 8 flange across the track or 0.5 mtr. from ground level whichever is more as per Drg. No.NR/S&T/CON/1.2/97 or latest. Earth should be rammed so as not to form a drain. This includes removal and refilling of ballast and restoration of surface to original condition under normal traffic conditions. One meter shall be measured from the bottom of rail flange. (Inspection: Site Engineer)
Excavating and refilling of trench 0.3 Mtrs. wide & 1 Mtr. deep on pitched/stone/bricks 9 paved surface, road, crossing/platform etc. and restoring the surface to its original conditions. Lesser depth due to site conditions shall be paid proportionately after obtaining prior approval from not below than JAG officer. (Inspection: Site Engineer
Laying of signalling/telecom/power cables by unwinding cables from drums of 10 different sizes as per drg. no. NR/S&T/CON/1.1/97 or latest and as per cable route plan approved by the railways. Meggering of cable before and after its laying of all types of cables. Meggering to be done for each drum separately. Meggering sheets to be supplied and filled up by contractor and submitted to railways. (Inspection: Site engineer)
Wiring of relays in relay room/relay huts as per approved wiring diagrams. All material required including indoor cables and wires of 1x1, 1x0.6, 3/0.29, 16/0.2, 40x0.6, 40x1, 60x0.6, 60x1 dia. of copper conductor as per NR practice conforming to IRS specifications, resistance and condensers are to be supplied by the contractor. This also includes wiring from CT rack to tag 11 block, tag block to relays & wiring of fuse etc. required in connection with relay room /relay hut wiring and soldering, dressing, bunching, lacing, fixing of relay bases etc. and provision of LED indication of vital relays in relay room and provision of potential free contacts for relays on tag block for data logger as per instruction of site Engineer. This also includes dressing, bunching, lacing and fixing of relay bases. Indoor cable/wires should be pre-inspected by consignee. (Inspection: Site Engineer)
Earth work of excavation and refilling around location boxes, signals and other signaling structures etc. wherever necessary including 50M lead and 1.5M lift by excavation. The 12 lead be measured from the center of gravity of excavation to the center of filling and the lift, from means ground level. The earth shall be well rammed including breaking of clods, levelling and dressing as per instructions of site engineer. The earth work around the location/junction boxes shall be up to the plaster level and for width sufficient for the maintainer to attend the box both from front & back side. Concreting unscheduled items in concrete of 1:3:6 ratio in cement, coarse sand and aggregate 25mm at different places in the yard and plastering top in fine plaster of 1:4 cement sand 13 ratio. It also includes the excavation of earth as required at site and as per instruction of site in charge. The volume in cubic meters shall include the volume occupied by any CI foundation, trestle, MS angle or flat or GI pipe required to be embedded in the casting. Cement coarse sand and aggregate 25mm are to be supplied by the contractor. (Site Engineer)
Bricks work with well burnt bricks in foundation and plinths with cement and sand mixture of 1:4 ratio. All material is to be supplied by the contractor. (Inspection: Site Engineer)

Excavating and refiling of trench in Rocky soil to the level of ground with rammed earth as per drg. No NR/S&T/CON/1.1/97-A1 or latest so as not to form a drain 0.3 Mtrs. Wide & 1.0 16 Mtr. Deep on both side of the station alongside the track. This includes 50 mm thick concreting work throughout in 1:3:6 ratio. All concreting material to be supply by the contractor. It shall conform to the safe distance as per signalling and cable plan. It also includes clearance of routes of trees & bushes. Installation of KLCR & its box in location boxes/gate lodges etc. Supply & installation heavy duty push button, LED indicator on MS sheet of 4.5 mm thick inside location box/gate lodges 17 for crank handle locking. The work includes fixing & wiring of magneto telephones, wiring of relays, push buttons and termination of tail cable as per instruction of site engineer. All material except KLCR & its box and magneto telephone is to be supplied by the contractor. (Inspection: Site Engineer)
