Fabrication, providing, installation and testing of 300 mm Nominal Diameter 5 mm thick mild steel pipes for rising main/Delivery line as per the following technical specifications: 1 Nominal Diameter = 300 mm 2 Thickness = 5.0 mm 3 Length of each pipe = 4 to 7 M 4 Quality of MS plate to be used for manufacture = As per IS 2062 5 Hydraulic test pressures = As per 10.1 of IS 3589 6 Type of welding to be used for joining pipes = arc welding 7 Tolerances = As per clause 12.3 of IS:3589 These pre-fabricated pipes are to be laid as per the available corridor. The pipes shall be joined by continuous butt welding in at least two runs on outside surface of the pipe. The welded area shall be chipped properly in order to remove the flux formation to ensure the leak proof joints on full working pressure. Quality product electrodes shall be used for welding. The cost also includes fabrication of offsets/bends (if any), 12 mm thick flanges of required numbers, nuts and bolts, gaskets etc. All mechanical means tools, tackles and equipment such as lifting/ pulling machines/ tripods, welding machines, electrical generator etc. required for handling/ laying/ joining /welding and any other activity for completion of job shall have to be arranged by the firm. The height of vertical posts shall be 6 mtrs (approx.) above the cement concrete block level. The earthing of the above equipment involves following processes: - Earthing pit (02 nos.) The pit size shall be 3’ x3’and 06’ deep. The pit shall be along on back sides of the pump house at suitable distance away from the pump wall. A GI plate of size of 600x600x6mm shall be placed in the excavated pit. The plate shall be embedded in charcoal and common salt laid in layers. The plate shall be properly bolted to GI strip of sufficient length for connecting the plate to the main strip through a GI pipe 32mm NB medium class with funnel at the top. The pit shall be refilled back with excavated earth and its ramming.

GI strip for earthing The earthing GI strip shall be of size 25x6mm and laid from the connecting points on the electrical equipment upto a common point and then further to earthing pits. All the electrical equipment shall be connected to the main strip by means of proper bolting arrangements. The quantity of strip required for the station shall be as per site requirement
