COMPREHENSIVE MAINT OF CERTAIN E/M WORKS AT DOMESTIC AREA AT BHISIANA UNDER GE (AF) BHISIANA

Supplying and drawing in replacement 1.5 sqmm nominal cross-sectional area, single-core, multi-strand copper conductor, FRLSH PVC insulated, unsheathed cable (any colour as directed or as per existing), 1100 V grade, conforming to IS 694:2010, through the existing conduit system/casing caping, including careful withdrawal of the existing cable and drawing in the new cable without damaging the existing serviceable wiring and conduit/ casing caping. The work shall include wiring from the distribution board (DB) to switchboards and from switchboards to light points, fan points, exhaust fan points, socket outlets, sub main wiring or other connected points, as per the existing wiring layout, including all necessary terminations, testing and commissioning. The item includes all labour, tools and plant, consumables and incidental works required for satisfactory completion, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The cable shall be measured on the basis of the actual running length drawn and fixed at site, and payment shall be made in Running Metres (RM) only.

Supply and fixing in replacement of pressed steel powder-coated sunken terminal box of size 100 mm × 100 mm, minimum 50 mm deep, suitable for mounting non-modular switches, socket outlets, fan regulators and other wiring accessories, complete with 3 mm thick plastic laminated sheet cover duly cut to accommodate the respective accessories. The item shall include dismantling of the existing terminal box, fixing the new box in position, making good the disturbed wall surface with cement mortar (1:3) to match the existing finish, and providing all necessary fixing materials, steel screws, rawl plugs and other accessories required for proper installation, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The rate shall be deemed to include refixing of existing serviceable switches, socket outlets, fan regulators and other accessories. However, if any switch, socket outlet, fan regulator or other accessory is found unserviceable and requires replacement with a new one, the same shall be measured and paid for separately under the respective BOQ item.

The item shall include dismantling of the existing terminal box, fixing the new box in position, making good the disturbed wall surface with cement mortar (1:3) to match the existing finish, and providing all necessary fixing materials, steel screws, rawl plugs and other accessories required for proper installation, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: The rate shall be deemed to include refixing of existing serviceable switches, socket outlets, fan regulators and other accessories. Material and labour for replacement of existing PVC conduit with new medium mechanical stress PVC conduit conforming to IS 9537 (Part-III): 1983, of suitable nominal diameter 20 mm or 25 mm, as required at site, complete with all accessories including bends, elbows, couplers, inspection/junction boxes, saddles, spacer bar saddles, clips, clip clamps and all other necessary fittings. The work shall include cutting chases in walls, carefully removing the existing conduit, laying and fixing the new conduit, re-drawing the existing serviceable wiring, making all necessary joints and connections, and making good the disturbed surfaces with cement mortar (1:3) to match the existing finish. The item includes all labour, tools and plant, consumables and incidental works required for satisfactory completion, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (i) The quoted rate shall be deemed to include careful withdrawal and re-drawing of the existing serviceable wires through the new conduit. However, if any existing wire is found unserviceable during execution and requires replacement, the same shall be measured and paid for separately under the respective BOQ item. (ii) Measurement shall be made for the actual running length of conduit replaced, and payment shall be made in Running Metres (RM) of conduit only. The quoted rate shall be deemed to include withdrawal and re-drawing of the existing serviceable wires through the replaced conduit, and no extra payment shall be admissible on this account. (iii) This item shall be executed only where replacement of one or two wires out of the existing wires already drawn through the conduit is required, but the existing PVC conduit is blocked, crushed or otherwise rendered unusable due to masonry work, making withdrawal and re-drawing of the wires through the existing conduit impracticable.

Material and labour for replacement of existing broken casing caping with new PVC casing capping of size minimum 20mm (medium quality ISI marked) as required at site, complete with all accessories including rawl plug, screws and all other necessary fittings. The work shall include carefully removing the existing casing caping, laying and fixing the new, re-drawing the existing serviceable wiring, making all necessary joints and connections, and making good the disturbed surfaces with cement mortar (1:3) to match the existing finish. The item includes all labour, tools and plant, consumables and incidental works required for satisfactory completion, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (i) The quoted rate shall be deemed to include careful withdrawal and re-drawing of the existing serviceable wires through the new casing caping. However, if any existing wire is found unserviceable during execution and requires replacement, the same shall be measured and paid for separately under the respective BOQ item. (ii) Measurement shall be made for the actual running length of casing caping replaced, and payment shall be made in Running Metres (RM) of casing caping only. The quoted rate shall be deemed to include withdrawal and re-drawing of the existing serviceable wires through the replaced casing caping, and no extra payment shall be admissible on this account. (iii) This item shall be executed only where replacement of one or two wires out of the existing wires already drawn through the casing caping is required, but the existing PVC casing caping is broken or crushed.

Supply and fixing in replacement of non-modular switch, 6 Amps, one-way, matching the existing make, model, size and mounting arrangement, or equivalent as approved by the Engineer-in-Charge, suitable for accommodating in the existing switch box and sheet cut-out without any modification. including necessary screws and fixing accessories, making all electrical connections, testing for proper operation and commissioning, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
