Maintenance of the lawn /garden (19500 sq.m approx) at Office Complex, Guest House frontage, Amphithreatre/ play ground, surrounding areas of New office & Aditorium buildings & lawns along the residendial colony roads etc., on all the days excluding Sunday. The work includes grassing with desired grass type, planting / seeding, renovating lawns including weeding, cheeling the grass, forking the ground, top dressing with sludge or manure, mixing the same with forked soil, watering all the gardened portion regularly as per the instruction of Garden Incharge, dressing / trimming the existing grown plants / grass to the desired level manually / by way of machine. including cost of all the labour, taxes, accessories such as gum boots, uniform/over coat eye protection glasses, gloves etc., all as per the direction & instruction of the garden –in-charge. Supply of desired new grass, seed and manure shall be made by department at free of cost.

Note : Not less than 6 persons are required for full day on all days excluding Sunday. Payment shall be made as per the attendance Register on prorata basis.

Cutting and clearing of wild growth / grass surrounding each building and open area of office & residential complex as shown by the Garden-In-charge covering an area of more than 1000 sq.m per operation / per day including disposal of debris at the specified locations. The sequence & location of cutting the wild growth shall be done as per the instruction and direction of Garden-incharge The cost includes all labours, taxes,accessories such as gum boots, uniform/over coat, eye protection glasses, gloves etc., all as per the direction & instruction of the garden –in-charge tools etc., all complete.

General Notes: 1. All tools, hose pipes, hedge shear, secateur etc., required for doing the above work shall be arranged by the contractor. 2. Removed weeds, waste and rubbish generated during planting and maintenance shall have to be disposed by the contractor inside AMD Complex within lead of 200m as directed by E-I-C. 3. The contractor shall be responsible for survival of plants and grass during the period of contract. Replanting of another plants of same height shall be carried out and survival should be ensured in case of loss/damage of plants. Similarly ,grass wherever damaged/died has to be replaced with healthy grown similar grass at his own cost. No payment will be made for this. 4. The contractor shall ensure that horticultural activities like loosening of soil, removal of weeds, mowing of lawns, removing hedges shall be carried out periodically or whenever required as per directions of E-i-c 5.Tenderers are advised to visit the site before submission of tender & understand the sequence of works to be carried out 6. The contractor shall ensure that the plants grow in a staright manner for which required bamboo, casino poles supports shall be provided at appropriate time without any extra cost. 7. All works shall be carried out strictly as per Standard Horticulture Practice and as per specifications& general notes and as per directions of E-I-C. 8. The completion period for this work is 12 months from the date commencement of work. 9. If the services of the contractor is found satisfactory, the contract period will be extended for a furher period of one more year on same terms & conditions on mutual agreement.

10.Any accident involving labour, construction machinery and person(s) passing vehicle occupants etc. at the work site due to actions of the contractor/his menand/or women will be the responsibility of the contractor. 11.The contractor is required to pay his employees / labour as per the prevailing minimum wages approved by State/ Central Govt. The Officer In –Charge or his representative will witness the payment of contractor’s labour and is required to certify that the contractor does not pay less than the minimum wages approved. Payment to the contractor will be released only on such certification from Officer In –Charge. The contractor shall maintain 1. Register of Workmen employed 2. Muster roll 3. Register of wages etc. 12.The contractor shall provide all necessary protective safety equipments such as safety belt, helmet, safety shoe, gloves to all workers engaged on the workers engaged on the work & comply with safety code given in the tender. 13.The rates quoted shall include cost of all tools and tackles, manpower including wages and GST etc. as applicable but exclusive of EPF and ESI. EPF and ESI are reimbursable as per relevant clause on production of proof of payment as per CPWD norms.
