Multi cell Polycarbonate Panels 16- 18mm thick with 5 cells - 6 walls structure over MS

Supporting structures. Panel Width shall be 900mm to ensure best performance for wind uplift.

The panels shall be uniform in color with an integral Microcell core with soft light finish to give

diffused light. In a cross section, the core shall be constructed of microcells not exceeding 4mm

x 4mm and shall be square/ rectangular/ or in truss bridge design commonly known as X

strucutre in appearance. Panels shall be coextruded with UV Protection layers with thickness

and concentration to filter and block more than 99% of the UV rays (UVA and UVB) through a

clear panel. The weight of the only panel shall not be less than 3250 gram per square meter.

Panel shall have U value not more than 1.9 W/m2k and UV transmission of less than 0.1% with

UV filtration test AS No.1067-1990 or equivalent test available in India. Panel and system should

have impact and shock resistance with D1-10j -M 50 ,300 J - M 50 400 J. Panel system shall

have Vertical Standing Seam 15mm at both sides and snap on connector to interlock the panels

with a grip-lock 2 tooth locking mechanism to ensure maximum uplift capability. Panels shall be

fixed on Purlins with special SS Expansion fastener and polycarbonate U/2 connectors. Panel

system shall be sealed with additional Tape / End caps / Aluminium U-Profile (mill finish) at the

ends. Panel should pass through Sandbag impact test ASTM E 695-03 after 25,000

hours/should be read as minimum 500 hours of environmental exposure and Hailstone impact

test ASTM E 822-81 or equivalent test available in India. The panel system shall pass water

penetration test ASTM E – 331 or as per equivalent test available in India. The panel to have

classification under B S1 D0 for reaction to fire as per test standard EN 13501 1:2002 or

equivalent test available in India tested by an independent, recognized testing laboratory.Panels

shall not have Yellowness Index as per ASTM D2244 (standard D65 illuminant, CIELAB) not

more than 1 unit when tested on a sample exposed to UV/weathering test for 2500 Hours as per

Design, manufacture, supply and installation of skylight / canopy with finishing / shading /lighting

as per Architect approval incorporating toughened / laminated clear float glass on MS / SS

structure used at each vertical joint to provide lateral stiffness against wind loading, deflections

and other specified loads expected including frame work structural supports wherever

necessary. Hardware of dormakaba Rodan I series spiders shall be sleek better strength and

Aesthetic features. The Spiders Shall be Manufactured my Investment casting process of grade

SS316. The BHFB /

BHAB bolts shall be of SS316 grade with all necessary accessories. The Contact between glass

surface and metal shall be protected by using EPDM washers. The glass hole shall be protected

from direct contact with the Metal by Derlin bush. A spring washer confirming to SS316 acts as a

locking mechanism to secure nut in place ensuring full tightness for long period of time. All

fasteners, sealants and weather elements such as flashing, coping etc. Shall be approved by the

Architect/consultant to make the system completely water proof. Design calculations for the

façade shall be furnished for approval to client /consultant.LED canopy light fittings (minimum 6

nos.) having system efficacy of not less than 100–120 lumens/W, suitable for outdoor

applications with IP65 protection, pressure die-cast aluminium housing, high-efficiency diffuser,

complete with LED driver, inbuilt surge protection, and all necessary accessories, including

wiring, fixing arrangements and mounting hardware, suitable for installation at a mounting height

of approx. 9 m under canopy, to achieve the required illumination level/lux level, as per site

requirements and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge

Providing, supplying and fixing 13.52 mm thick clear laminated toughened glass for canopy work

comprising 6 mm clear toughened glass + 1.52 mm PVB interlayer + 6 mm clear toughened

glass, manufactured through heat lamination process, with all edges machine polished, corners

finished, and including necessary cut-outs, holes and notches as per approved drawings; the

glass shall be toughened and laminated conforming to relevant IS standards, ensuring high

impact resistance, safety and weather durability suitable for external canopy applications,

complete with handling, loading, transportation, hoisting to required height, positioning, and

fixing in approved design with all necessary accessories, fittings, sealants, and consumables,

including protection during installation and cleaning after completion, all as directed by the

Engineer-in-Charge.
