Fabrication, Transportation, Erection and Launching of Composite Steel Girder (36m Span Expansion Joint to Expansion Joint) of Super Structure with supply, fitting and fixing of POT PTFE Bearing at Construction of 04 Lane Flyover Etah Chungi Aligarh

Composite Steel Girder (36 Meter Span Exp. Joint to Exp. Joint) The work includes the supply fabrication and erection of a Composite Steel Girder - type bridge structure of the specified span and width, as per approved General arrangement drawing (GAD), using structural steel. All steel plates used in fabrication for main girders and cross girders shall confirm to Fe 490B/E350 grade B0, except ISMB 600, which shall be of Fe 410B grade, of as per the latest approved MoRTH drawing as provided during execution, IRS-B1-2001 (latest amendment), and other relevant IS/IRC codes and specifications. No additional payment shall be made to the contractor upon change in specifications of steel plates as per latest MoRTH requirements. if any. The work encompasses the erection and launching of the bridge including bearings using cranes or any other approved method, based on site conditions, and shall be carried out on the sub-structure using the contractor's labour, fuel, consumables, machinery, tools and plants, material, lead, and lift, ensuring full compliance with specifications and direction from the engineer. Note: 1. The contractor shall submit the detailed fabrication/ erection drawing and launching scheme along with necessary design calculation for approval before the erection and launching of the girder. 2. The fabrication/ vendor must be empanelled/ approved by MoRTH & the material used by the vendor/ fabricator as per MoRTH specification. 3. Temporary supports if any required for the erection/ launching shall be erected after the approval of the Engineer. Nothing extra shall be payable on this account. 4. The contractor shall take all safety precautions with the Engineer as per extant rules/ guidelines. Nothing extra shall be payable on this account. 5. Notwithstanding the above, the contractor shall be fully responsible for any mis-happening that may occur as a result of negligent working of the Contractor. The Contractor has to take every precautionary measure for the safety of running the traffic during and after the launching of the girder. 6. The rate includes launching under traffic blocks wherever required. However, the rate does not include the cost of possession of traffic. 7. The block required shall be arranged by the local authority at the request of the contractor. The duration of the block shall be as approved by the Engineer. If the block granted is not made available due to unavoidable reasons, nothing extra/ no compensation shall be paid. 8. The cost of all tests and 3rd party mandatory UPSBCL inspection & approvals as per the prevailing code for acceptance shall be borne by the contractor. 9. The rate is inclusive of fabrication, transportation, erection, launching and fabrication of all types of bearings, battens, bracings, ties, stiffeners, packing, diaphragms, painting/ metalizing, shop rivets/ welding, T&F/ HSFG bolts, all types of nut/bolts, drifts, shop welds, templates, jigs, fixtures, materials, labour, major and minor machines, consumables, and any other centring shuttering, launching nos, etc. i.e. quoted rates are from procurement to launching nothing extra shall be paid against quoted rates. 10. The payment shall be made on the theoretical weight of the main components only. No deduction for holes and no addition for rivets/bolts/ welds etc shall be made. No wastages shall be paid extra. 11. Welding should be done in accordance with IS:816 and IS: 9595 and welding consumable shall confirm to IS:814.12. All steel members are to be provided with anticorrosion paint.
