REPAIR OF ROAD POTHOLES, INTERLOCKING PATHWAY, ROAD SIDE FURNITURE AND RESURFACING OF CERTAIN ROADS AT MIL STN FAZILKA

Repairs to pot holes any depth not exceeding 1.00 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scouring sunken surfacesin roads, path etc cutting edges at least 25 mm depth and making good by applying tack coat with bitumen @ 5 kg/X Sqm, putting in premix bituminous macadam using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 well rammed and sealed with binder @ 9.80 kg mixed with 0.09 cum of stone chippings 6.3 mm size per 10 Sqm and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipings, depth of pot holes exe 30mm thick, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing existing black top surface by brushing with wire brushed for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning to cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc from black top surface, Applying evenly a premix /tack coat with bitumen grade VG-10 @ 5.0 Kg per ten Sqm complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing and laying Premix Bituminous macadam of consolidated thickness n. exc. 75mm, using paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30 @ and binder content of 4% by weight of total mix with mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher (Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using B.M.) and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 504 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 4 % VG-30 bitumen content, Job mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th revision) for BM shall be worked out from any Govt Lab/Govt Engg college/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the contractor and same shall be submit for approval of Accepting Officer through GE before execution. The cost there of shall be deemed to be included unit rate. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/kg of binder and No adjustment shall be made on plus side. (ii) The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within a maximum of 48 hours. If there is to be any delay by the contractor, course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of clause 512 of MORTH (5th revision) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately. (iii) The contractor shall intimate the planned date of incorporation of mix in advance to GE. Premix will be approved in writing by Rep of Accepting Officer at plant site before incorpoastion of the same in the work. (iv) Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using BM. (v) Payment shall be made after conducting bitumen extraction test after every laying every 500 units and cost is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. For any variation in bitumen contents the re-testing to be got done by contractor at without any extra cost. (vi) Repair to pot holes shall be carried out as directed by Engineer-in-charge under this item and not measured separately, cost is deemed to be included in the quoted rates.

Providing and laying Premix Bituminous concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder (paving bitumen of grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed aggregates of grading 2 with mixing of agrgregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hyrdostatic paver finisher and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 5.5 % VG-30 bitumen content, Job mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th revision) for BC shall be worked out from any Govt Lab/Govt Engg college/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the contractore and same shall be submit for approval of Accepting Officer through GE before execution. (ii) Cost of filler i.e cement (OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. (iii) After spreading of mix as as per clause 507.4.7 MORTH (5th revision) entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per clause No 507.4.8 MORTH (5th revision) and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted rates. (iv) The contractor shall intimate the planned date of incorporation of mix in advance to GE. Premix will be approved in writing by Rep of Accepting Officer at plant site before incorpoation of the same in the work. (v) Payment shall be made after conducting bitumen extraction test after every laying every 500 units and cost is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (vi) Top of road surface shall be broomed on next day after completion of rolling and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted rates.

M & L for preparing new or existing bituminous road surfaces and carrying out 2.5 mm thick thermoplastic road marking with hot applied reflective thermoplastic paint using mechanical applicator, including application of thermoplastic material @ 5 kg per Sqm and glass beads @ 250 grams per Sqm, conforming to Clause 803.4 of MoRTH specifications. Marking to be done in strips of 100 mm / 150 mm width including centre lines, edge lines, stop lines, arrows, symbols etc., in approved colours such as white, yellow or red, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) in ground floors and pavings n exc 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level).

M&L for hardcore of broken bricks of gauge n exc. 63 mm deposited spread and levelled in layers n. exc 15 cm thick watered and rolled/rammed to a true surface complete all as specified.

M&L 75mm thick PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in sub floors, sub bases, floors and pavings etc. complete all as specified.

Providing and laying 80mm thick factory made chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-30 grade with approved colour, design & pattern as in footparth, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc., of required strength, thickness & size/shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 50mm thick compacted bed of fine sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge/GE.

Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and as directed.
