Restoration Repair Upgradation of Internal Roads and Parking of Grain Market Sector 26 Chandigarh

Providing, mixing, and applying a bonding coat of elastomeric concrete having physical and performance properties conforming to Table 12.3 of IRC SP:083 (2018) on damaged portions of RCC pavement to an average thickness of 75 mm, with application carried out as per IRC SP:083 (2018). The work shall also include chipping and removal of unsound or weak concrete from the existing cement concrete pavement to the same average thickness as the application of elastomeric concrete using manual chisels and/or approved power-driven percussion type equipment, tapering of all edges, formation of square shoulders of cavities, cleaning of the exposed concrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes, and disposal of all debris for all leads and lifts. The item shall include all labour, materials, tools, plant, and incidental works, complete in all respects, as per the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying design mix cement concrete of M-40 grade, in roads/ taxi tracks/ runways, using cement content as per design mix, using coarse sand and graded stone aggregate of 20 mm nominal size in appropriate proportions as per approved & specified design criteria, providing dowel bars with sleeve/tie bars wherever required, laying at site, spreading and compacting mechanically by using needle and surface vibrators, levelling to required slope/ camber, finishing with required texture, including steel form work with sturdy M.S. channel sections, curing, making provision for contraction/ expansion, construction & longitudinal joints (20 mm wide x30 mm deep) by groove cutting machine, providing and filling joints with approved joint filler and sealants, complete all as per direction of Engineer- in-charge (Item of joint fillers, sealants, dowel bars with sleeve/ tie bars to be paid separately). Note:- Cement content considered in M-40 is @ 390kg/cum. Excess/ less cement used as per design mix is payable/ recoverable separately.

Providing and laying tack coat with bitumen VG-10 @ 3.00 kg/10 sqm using sprayer pump on prepared surface heating bitumen in boiler and spraying bitumen with spray set fitted on bitumen boiler including cleaning of road surface with complete in all respect as per MORT&H specification and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying 50 mm thick dense graded bituminous macadam with mechanical paver after mixing aggregate and bitumen as per design mix in hot mix plant using minimum @ 4.5% bitumen of grade VG-30 of total mix with aggregate confirming to requirement laid in table 500.8 and as per grading II specified in table 500.10 complete as per clause no. 505 of MORT&H specification rolling with smooth wheeled vibratory and tandem roller as per clause 501.6 and 501.7 to achieve the desired density 2.3gm/cc. complete in all respect and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying tack coat with bitumen VG-10 @ 2.50 kg/10 sqm using sprayer pump on prepared surface heating bitumen in boiler and spraying bitumen with spray set fitted on bitumen boiler including cleaning of road surface with complete in all respect as per MORT&H specification and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and laying 30 mm thick Mastic Asphalt wearing course with paving grade 85/25 bitumen (with minimum bitumen content 10.5% by weight of mix) meeting the requirements given in table 500-39 prepared by using mastic cooker and laid to required level and slope after cleaning the surface including providing antiskid surface with bitumen precoated finegrained hard stone chipping of 13.2mm nominal size at the rate of 0.005 cum per 10 sqm and at an approximate spacing of 10cm center to center in both directions, pressed into surface when the temperature of surfaces is not less than 100°C, protruding 1mm to 4mm over mastic surface, all complete as per clause 516 of MoRT&H Specifications for Road & Bridge works (5th revision)
