REPAIR/REPLACEMENT OF EXTERNAL ELECTRIFICATION SYSTEM ALONGWITH STREET LIGHTS AT WEST OF MALL ROAD UNDER GE (EAST) JALANDHAR CANTT

Attending day to day complaints of received through telephone or in person pertaining to street/ security lights like fluorescent tube light, LED lights, flood light fittings etc of any make installed on street light poles/ buildings/ walls/ roof at any height and rectification of defects by bringing down the fittings on ground or in position including replacement of lamp, flexible wire, reflector etc including cleaning of glass/ acrylic cover for clear reflection of light, replacement of old unserviceable street light fittings with new fittings as required to make the light fitting functional complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- (i) Supply only of light fittings such as ballast, cable, flexible wire and LED driver if required to be replaced shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item of this BOQ. (ii) Complaints shall be attended and rectified within 24 hrs of receipt of complaint. (iii) Lights on one pole repaired shall be treated as one complaint However, if any number of security lights made serviceable due to any electrical fault shall be considered as one complaint. (iv) Old material retrieved during repairs shall be deposited in AGE E/M yard and will be given to contractor after completion of contract. However, credit of retrieved material as per credit schedule shall be recovered from contractor's dues in RAR/ Final bill.

(v) Contractor will deposit new material to Engineer in charge for acceptance and then material will be issued by JE E/M daily based on assessment of complaints. Quantity of material to be deposited by contractor shall be decided based on requirement. (vi) Vehicle, ladder, tools & takels as required at site for repair/ for makings light fitting functional shall be provided by the contractor at his own cost & arrangement.

Supply and fixing in repairs automatic street light switch using nature switch for automatic switch of street lights based on LUX level of nature light. The infrared sensor based nature switch alongwith lighting load of 8 KW, single phase, power contractor 25-32 Amps and MCBs SPN (Input-output) 25 Amps should be enclosed in pole/ wall mountable enclosure made of rust proof, termite proof and FR grade SMC junction box conforming to IP 54. The contactor, MCBs and circuit wiring should be of 10 sqmm copper wire complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in repairs 2 pole contactors 25 Amps with coil voltage 230 volts suitable for timer panels complete all as specified and directed. Make : BCH cat Part No. CPG225N or equivalent in Havells/ C&S/ Indo Asian

Supply only factory made junction box of size 250 x 300 x 125mm suitable for street light fixed on pole, made out of CRCA sheet 2mm thick having front hinged shutter with lockable arrangements, outdoor type, weather proof duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamelled paint over a coat of red oxide primer, having the provision to connect incoming and outgoing cable of size 25 sqmm 2 core and including one number MCB SP, 10 KA, C-Curve, 6 Amps 240 volts including suitable cable gland, thimbles, lugs etc and earthing plug complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only factory made junction box of size 100 x 150 x 100mm suitable for post top lantern, made out of CRCA sheet 2mm thick having front hinged shutter with lockable arrangements, outdoor type, weather proof duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamelled paint over a coat of red oxide primer, having the provision to connect incoming and outgoing cable of size 16 sqmm 2 core and including one number MCB SP, 10 KA, C-Curve, 6 Amps 240 volts including two DMC insulator and earthing plug complete all as specified and directed. Notes for item No. 8.00 & 9.00 : (i) Clamps, nuts, bolts and washer will be measured and paid separately. (ii) MCB shall be measured and paid for separately. Supply and fixing in repairs aluminium conductor steel reinforced for overhead lines on poles including aluminium binding wire 14 SWG, jumpers, line tapes etc complete all as specified of size Weasel/ Mink. Note: For payment purpose weight of ACSR conductor only shall be considered.

Supply and fixing in repairs continuous earth wire 4mm dia galvanised steel wire including galvanized mild steel binding wire 14 SWG complete all as specified. Note: For payment purpose weight of 4mm dia galvanised wire only shall be taken and clamps, hooks shall be measured and paid separately.

Supply and fixing pin type insulator 100mm height, 65mm dia for 1100 volts grade porcelain vitreous white, brown or green including one galvanised mild steel spindle, two galvanised iron washers and one galvanised iron nuts complete all as specified

Supply and fixing in repairs shackle type insulator size 100mm height, 115mm dia with bolts dia 14mm and strap section 31x5 mm for 1100 volts working pressure porcelain vitreous white, brown or green insulator including galvanised mild steel straps, two galvanised iron washer, insulator bolts and one galvanised iron nuts all as specified.

Supply and fixing in repairs loop type insulator porcelain vitreous white or brown, for LT stay large size with overall dissensions 65x140mm, clearance hole 20mm for 1100 volts grade complete all as specified. Make for Item No. 12.00 & 14.00 : Jaipuria/ Rashtriya/ Pactil

Supply and fixing in replacement MS cross arms, bracing, supports, clamps and back plates fabricated from structural steel section including nuts, bolts, washers, welding, bending, cold or hot, drilling holes or bolt in any shape or size including 2 coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide primer including dismantling/ taking down existing MS work complete all as specified and directed. Note: Unexposed surface shall be given one coat of primer only.

Supplying, erecting and fixing pre-stressed concrete pole 9.0 metre long having x-sectional area 102 x 172mm at top and 102 x 279mm at bottom, class 10, complete all as specified including painting of poles with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer, black & white strips upto 1.5mtr height from top of PCC coping and numbering of poles fixed in repairs of old broken pole complete all as specified and directed. (PCC and earth work shall be measured & paid for separately)

Material and labour in replacement stay assembly complete with 20mm dia, 2100mm long stay rod with threaded ends and GI nuts, two numbers thimbles MS clamps made out of 40mm x 6mm flat iron including MS nuts, bolts and washers 300mm x 300mm x 6mm MS stay plate, stay bow of size 40 cm long 16 mm dia, loop type insulator including painting the exposed MS work with 2 coats of aluminum paint over a coat of red oxide primer fixed in repairs of existing stay assembly complete all as shown in electrical plate No. 1 (Earth work, concrete work, loop type insulator, stay strand, clamps, shall be measured and paid for separately)

Material and labour for PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregate as in foundation of stay/ coping of poles including necessary form work and fair finish to exposed surface without using extra cement complete all as specified & directed.

Supply and fixing 1100 volts grade heavy duty PVC insulated & PVC sheathed stranded aluminium conductor of size 6 Sqmm flat twin core cable in service connection all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing 1100 volts grade heavy duty PVC insulated & PVC sheathed stranded aluminium conductor of size 10 Sqmm twin core flat cable in service connection all as specified and directed.

Material and labour in replacement earthing complete with GI or steel earth plate electrode 60cm x 60cm x 6mm thick buried directly in ground vertically in a pit not less than 2.25 meter below ground level with top edge of earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 meter below level covered on all sides with alternative layers of charcol dust and common salt 15 cm thick connected to galvanised earth lead Galvanised Iron strip 32 x 6 cm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of Galvanised Iron or steel with protection pipe earth wire protected by galvanized steel pipe medium grade 40 mm bore from top of the earth plate electrode upto test point and watering pipe 20mm bore, GI light grade with funnel and wire mesh all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR Part-1 and connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated and testing on completion, including PCC earth pit (1:3:6) type C-2 RCC covered with CI cover hinged with frame including excavation and earth work complete all as specified. Notes : 1. If result is not satisfactory then contractor will do 2nd earthing on his own cost. 2. Contractor will give 2 years warranty of earthing in writing.

Material and labour preparation of old painted surface of PCC LT poles and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint in alternate black & white strips of 30cm each upto 1.5 mtr height from top of PCC coping and numbering of poles including painting of two coats of aluminium paint on street light brackets, clamps, nut bolts, cross arm etc complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour preparation of old painted surface of steel tubular poles straight/ swan neck and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint in alternate black & white strips of 30cm each upto 1.5 mtr height from top of PCC coping and two coats of aluminium paint to remaining part of poles above strips including painting of street light brackets, clamps, cross arm and numbering the pole complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for locating fault of LT underground cables of size 6 Sqmm to 50 Sqmm 2 core/3.5 core laid in trenches by locating fault visually or by excavating (upto 10 mtr of length) the faulty portion of cable, taking out to protection bricks or cover, sand and faulty cable and making of joints or repair to existing joint including all jointing material such as LT joint, ferrol and relaying after repair including refiling of sand and relaying of brick protection cover complete all as specified and directed

Material and labour for locating fault of LT underground cables of size 70 sqmm to 185 sqmm 3.5 core laid in trenches by locating fault visually or by excavating 9upto 10 mtr of length) the faulty portion of cable, taking out to protection bricks or cover, sand and faulty cable and making of joints or repair to existing joint including all jointing material such as LT joint, ferrol and relaying after repair including refiling of sand and relaying of brick protection cover complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for locating fault of LT underground cables of size 240 sqmm to 400 sqmm 3.5 core laid in trenches by locating fault visually or by excavating 9upto 10 mtr of length) the faulty portion of cable, taking out to protection bricks or cover, sand and faulty cable and making of joints or repair to existing joint including all jointing material such as LT joint, ferrol and relaying after repair including refiling of sand and relaying of brick protection cover complete all as specified and directed. Note for Srl No. 49 to 51 : LT joint will be measured and paid separately.

Labour only for cutting/pruning of tree branches 1.5mtr all around the Lt overhead lines of span no exceeding 70 mtr and around the pole obstructing the overhead line & removing the branches to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Re-streching of any type of ACSR conductor on LT poles, 4 to 6 lines, by opening binding wire & stringing with permissible sag and binding with new aluminium binding wire of 14 SWG complete all as specified and directed

Supply and fixing in replacement double door metallic sheet metal enclosure for DB when MCBs to be used V-TPN 4 ways, 415V with 200Amps rated bus bar complete fixed properly on in concealed position and to provide required sizes of flexible conduit at any open surfaces near DBs of cables, wires all as directed.
