Excavation of cable trench as per cableroute plan, 1.2 Mtr. deep and of 0.3 Mtr.to 0.6 Mtr. wide at bottom as per RDSOsketch No. SDO/CABLE LAYING/003 orlatest alongside the track in normal (alltype) soil/strata, conforming todistances as per cable route plan andrefilling. This work 18 includes clearing ofroute from bushes etc, covering of cablelaid in trench by loose soil for a layer of50mm thickness approximately beforecovering by bricks. The work shall bedone as per the extant practice on NorthWestern Railway and instructions ofRailway Engineer at site. In case 1.2mdepth of trench is not achievable due tosite conditions, specific approval of JAgrade officer will be required for eachsite where trench depth of 1.2m is notpossible. Without the approval of JAGrade officer, no payment for trenchingwill be made for trench depth less than1.2m.
