SPECIAL REPAIR/REPLACEMENT OF WATER PIPE LINE AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE IN CERTAIN UNITS AT MIL STN JAISALMER

Excavating in trenches not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth for foundation etc or for shaft, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes etc not exceeding 10 sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Excavating in trenches not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth for foundation, laying of cable/pipe etc or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes etc not exceeding 10 Sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth and getting out in hard rock complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note (i) Hard rock obtained from excavation shall be stacked properly. Stacked hard rock shall be measured by deducting 50% quantity for voids for hard rock, remaining quantity will be considered of soft/disintegrated rock. (ii) Hard rock obtained shall be issued under Schedule of credit, which shall not be allowed for uses in work.

Returning, filling in, including, spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick in any type of soil all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Returning, filling in, including, spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick with soft/ disintegrated rock all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Removing excavated soft/ disintegrated rock to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F 25 mm bore dia steel water tubing medium grade galvanised with and including necessary all fittings and fixtures complete fixed to walls and ceilings or laid in floors etc including taking down of old existing pipe complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-charge.

S&F gun metel, globe or gate valve with iron wheel head screwed both ends for 20 mm bore iron pipe and fixed with ISI marked and as per IS 14846 including taking down existing gate valve complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking up carefully from trenches/walls/pillar CI/DI water mains incl all fittings with spigot and socket ends incl joint/rubber gaskets/lead wool/tyton joint for the following sizes:-

(a) 80 mm bore.

(b) 100 mm bore.

(c) 150 mm bore.

Laying only the DI/CI pipe line with spigot and socket ends (in any length) on wall/pillars with necessary fitments (tyton joint/rubber gasket,etc) for complete assembly of following sizes complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :- Serviceable pipe obtained from taking down shall be used for laying.

(a) 80 mm bore.

(b) 100 mm bore.

(c) 150 mm bore.

Supply and laying ductile iron pipe class K-9 with internal cement mortar lining and external zink coated pipes completed for following sizes:-

(a) 100 mm bore.

(b) 150 mm bore.

Supply and fix Sluice valve PN-1.6 with gun metal spindle and wedge nut ISI maked (IS-14846:2000) complete with iron wheel of 100 mm bore including taking down existing unserviceable sluice valve of any description complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- Rate quoted by the contractor shall deemed to includes neccesary arrangements for cutting the pipe of required dimension with attachments for fitting the sluice valve.

Supply and fix Sluice valve PN-1.6 with gun metal spindle and wedge nut ISI maked (IS-14846:2000) complete with iron wheel of 150 mm bore including taking down existing unserviceable sluice valve of any description complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- Rate quoted by the contractor shall deemed to includes neccesary arrangements for cutting the pipe of required dimension with attachments for fitting the sluice valve.

Supplying, fixing and testing of CI/DI pipe fitting for spigot socketed pipes such as bends (any type, radius and angle), tapers any type (straight, bend, increasing/ decreasing or double socket etc). Tee pieces, single branch, “Y” junction, double branch, cross (all sockets or socket and spigot), collars, caps and plugs, for pipe upto 150 mm bore all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- Rate quoted by the contractor shall deemed to includes cutting existing pipe for insertion of the fitting is included in the quoted rate.

M&L for PCC (1:3:6) type C-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundation concrete, mass concrete etc complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling valve chamber and removing material not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Construction of valve chamber of size 100 x 100 x 100 cm (internal dimensions) complete with the following specifications :-

(i) 150mm thick PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 (using stone aggregate) as in foundation concrete. (ii) PCC solid block masonry 200mm thick using grade C-5 block in CM 1:6 (iii) Rendering 15mm thick in CM 1:4 finished even and fair. (iv) PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) as in coping. (v) 3mm thick MS sheet cover alongwith MS angle iron frame 40 x 40x6 mm duly embedded in coping concrete with necessary locking arrangement. (vi) Painting MS sheet cover and frame with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer. (NOTE : Excavation and earthwork shall deemed to inclusive of above mentioned items alongwith the items specified above complete.

Cutting the existing PCC/bituminous road of any description to a size not exc. 0.5m wide x 0.5m deep for crossing of pipe including refilling, ramming and making top 200mm thick surface good with plain cement concrete (1:3:6) type C1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-charge.
