Fabrication and installation of Cross Gates near D-5of main Kathua Canal and Soonj Minor distributary Gate (3.5' X 6') at Kathua Canal

Cross Gates (7' X 6') near D5 at Kathua Canal Fabrication and installation of Cross Gate near distributary D-5 on main Kathua canal to regulate irrigation water by way of cutting the concrete structure over the groves of gate with the help of hammer and chisel for smooth extraction and lowering of gate. Dismantling of damaged old gate lifting mechanism from the supporting channel and disconnecting the stem rod from the leaf structure. Extracting out the damaged/ worn out gate leaf structure with the help of manual labour using tools, tackles and crane after removing accumulated mud/silt around the gate leaf. Carriage of gate structure along with winch machine and stem rod with the help of manual labour using tools and tackles. Loading in mechanical transport and then carriage to workshop. Fabrication of leaf structure of size 7 ft x 6 ft (approx.) using the ISMC 100 channel size with vertical & horizontal cross members for support by way of cutting as per required size and then welding using superior quality electrodes. The leaf is to be fabricated with 4 number horizontal supports and 4 number vertical supports at equidistance from each other. The supports should be fabricated out of ISMC 100 channel. Providing and welding the MS sheet of 6 mm thickness on the frame of fabricated from MS channel. The Job also includes complete fabrication of outer frame MS structure of size (10' X 7') by MS channel of ISMC 125 consisting of groove channels, base channels and checking it for trouble free operation. Top hoisting channel consisting of 2 number of ISMC 250 of length 8 ft length each. Fabrication of L shaped clamps attaching stem rod attachment during up and downward moment of gate. Fabrication, providing & fitting of 05 Ton capacity manually operated, worm gear type winch machine along with stem rod and rain pipe. Oiling and greasing the gear and bearings mechanism before fitting. Providing and fitting of rain pipe over the winch machine to secure the stem rod and machinery. Loading the gate structure along with winch machine on the mechanical transport for carrying to site of installation. Unloading the gate structure at road side then shifting to the site of installation. Installation of gate structure by way of lowering the leaf structure into the sliding grooves using skilled manual labour using crane. Drilling requisite no. of holes in hoisting channels at site. Fitting of winch machine on the supporting channel and connecting the stem rod to the leaf structure after ensuring the proper alignment/gravity of the gate structure. Complete painting of gate structure with one coat of red oxide primer and two coats of superior quality enamel paint. Complete job includes cost of material, rebate on old parts/scrap, transportation charge, labour charges, crane charges and testing for its smooth operation at site. Any modifications/ alterations of the job, absolutely necessary if required at the time of execution may be done as per actual site conditions.
