Dredging at mouth portion, sand trap and inner channel

Dredging in the Ariyankuppam river Mouth and sand trap area from the existing bed level upto the level of (-) 5m and (-) 8 m respectively in all kind of soils like clay, silt sand and gravel including muck and other material encountered using cutter suction dredger of dredging capacity of not less than 75,000 cum per month and discharge capacity of 4km. The dredged spoil is to be discharged along the shore at a distance of 3 to 4Km and as directed by Engineer from time to time by laying suitable pipeline as required. If necessary, the Contractor may mobilize a Booster station to achieve the discharge distance. The length, width, depth, location to be dredged shall be decided by the Engineer in charge as per site conditions prevailing at the time of dredging and the same shall be adhered to by the contractor. The rate quoted is to include mobilization, demobilization charges of dredger, pipeline system and all other machineries necessary for the execution of the work including GST @ 12%. Any Government Agency appointed by the Engineer will be the Third party survey agency for carrying out the Hydrographic surveys prior to commencement of dredging operation, at interim and on completion of work to ascertain the quantity of work done for making payment to the Contractor. (The payment for the Third party survey shall be paid by the Employer).

Dredging in the Ariyankuppam river Inner channel area from the existing bed level upto the level of -5m in all kind of soils like clay, silt sand, gravel, sewage, slush etc. but excluding isolated boulders and hard rock using cutter suction dredger/ backhoe dredger or any other suitable machineries of dredging capacity of not less than 35,000 cum per month and dumping dredged material on to the land within a lead of one kilometer as directed. Before commencement of dredging in the inner channel the dumping spot is to be made ready by clearing the existing sand heap already present in the dumping spot. A quantity equivalent to the quantity dredged in the Inner Channel is to be transported and dozed into the sea along the coastal line within a lead distance of 1Km for the purpose of making available the dumping spot. Suitable machineries necessary for the transportation and dozing the existing sand heap are to be mobilized by the contractor. Wherever necessary, bunding work has to be done using suitable machineries for dumping the dredged spoil on land.
