Note for all items of this BOQ:- The work shall be executed at operational runway where air traffice play regularly. Therefore site shall be made avalable as decided by the airforce authority. Contractor shall not have any claim whatsoever on this account or at any belated stage. contractor shall arrange manpower and material accordingly. contractors quoted rate shall be deem to include for this provision.

Deployment of T&P and labour for cutting and removing the grasses / vegetation growth / saplings etc. from the surrounding area of runway, taxi track and dispersals by using tractor equipped with jungle Jim and disposing off all the rubbish out of runway boundary complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Deployment of T&P and labour for grass cutting by manually or mechanically (Bush Cutter) on the both side of runway / PTT as per requirement basis and timing as feasible by the users, complete including taking out all necessary grass shurbs saplings wild bushes and any type of vegetation and removing out of runway boundary complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for preparation of old painted surface of concrete / bituminous pavement by brushing and applying one coat painting with water based road marking paint (any Colour) in pattern of lines / arrows / letters etc. on road or pavements exc 10cm width or girth, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer‐in‐Charge. Make: APCOTRAK manufactured by Asian Paints or equivalent of make Jenson & Nicholson paints Pvt Ltd / Nerolac

M&L for preparation of old decorated surfaces of concrete pavement and applying one coat of white wash complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Ploughing in any type old sand filled in soft ground arrester with disc plough mechanically operated with average depth of 30 cm running the plough in long and traverse direction and cleaning away of all grass / vegetable spoils, shrubs under growth roots and removing rubbish including hard objects etc. from the surfaces to a distance exc 150 metre but not exc 500 metre all as specified and as directed.

Cleaning of PCC drain not exceeding 1.5 metre deep and bottom width 40 to 50 cm by removing of deposited soft / loose soil and other foreign materials average depth not exc 20 cm deep and removal of excavated material to a distance exc 250 m but n.exc 500 m complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge

M&L for removing of old sealing compound from the old joints cleaning with kerosene oil, drying with blow lamp, cleaning the vertical face of joint with grinder to remove old sealing compound and removing all dust dirt thoroughly to ensure dust free using compressed air, placing backup road up 13 mm below to surface and filling the joints with ready to use polyurethene filling compound and finishing the joint properly leaving 3 mm gap from top surface of concrete including removing all debris to a distance exc 100 m but not exc 150 m complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge for the following joint size:- Note: Any damage to the edge of joint and existing backup rod shall be made good by the contractor without any extra cost. (a) Joints of size 12 mm to 15 mm wide and 35 to 40 mm deep

(a) Joints of size 16 mm to 20 mm wide and 35 to 40 mm deep

(a) Joints of size 21 mm to 25 mm wide and 35 to 40 mm deep

M&L for Repair to broken spelled cracks etc of existing concrete slab / bitumen pavements by cutting 'U' grooves with mechanical cutter, cleaning the joint portion thoroughly to ensure dust free using compressed air removing all dust / debris out of runway and filling with black or grey Bitumen Tubing" and finishing the top surface smooth by torching / heating with blow lamp all as per manufacturers instructions and complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge for the following crack size:- Make: M/s Srijan Systems Pvt Ltd (RUNPHALT) or any other techno equivalent make as approved by GE

(a) Filling crack of size 10 mm to 15 mm wide and depth n.exc 20 mm, with Black Colour Tubing

(b) Filling crack of size 10 mm to 15 mm wide and depth n.exc 20 mm, with grey Colour Tubing

Demolition of concrete of any description and in any position not other wise specifically provided for and demolished material thrown out of runway premises complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

M&L for polythene film 150 micron thickness for separation layer under concrete complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

M&L sand cushion layer under polythene film complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

M&L for PQC as in pavement / hard standing, not exceeding 250 mm thick of flexural strength 40 Kg / Sqcm with cement content 400 Kg / cum or as per design mix which ever is higher including necessary steel formwork complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Notes :- Construction joints, dummy (contraction joints) and expansion joints shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of this schedule.

Deduction shall be made in computing concrete quantity for expansion joints.

No price adjustment shall be applicable if cement content more than specified above is used / approved in the execution of work under this item.

M&L forming 25 mm wide expansion joints through the full thickness 250 mm of the slab filled with 25 mm thick synthetic compressive filler board HD-100 and cleaning 50 mm deep left over to top cavity and top 10 mm primed with N-49 primer and filled with polyurethane based sealant over 30 mm dia polyethylane back up rod complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Material and labour for forming construction joint 30 mm deep x 10 mm wide filled with polyurethene based sealant after applying a coat of primer to vertical surfaces of concrete which are in contact with the compound and finishing the joint properly leaving 2 mm gap from top surface of concrete over and including backup rod complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

S&F in repair Galvanised iron wire of size 4.00 mm dia having tensile strength 45-55 Kg / Sqmm including fixing of brackets and tying arrangement in between blast wall and blast pens Complete all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for Repair to patches of flexural portion of runway, depth n.exc 80 mm, including sweeping free from dust and mud or water with wire or jute brush scoring sunken surfaces in runway pavement, cutting around edge to at least full depth of carpet layer making proper rectangular or square shape patch and making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer (catonic emulsion RS) and filling the patch with Readymade Bituminous SBS Based patching mix of Make: SN industries or equivalent approved by GE using cutback bitumen, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with hand roller complete and clean the surface by booming and making FOD free surface to runway, Complete all as specified and directed by engineer in charge.

M&L for repair to broken spelled edges of joints, etc of existing concrete slab by cutting 'U' grooves with mechanical cutter, cleaning the joint portion thoroughly to ensure dust free using compressed air removing all dust / debris out of runway applying compound of hardener Aradur-140 and Araldite GY-257 primer in the ration of 1:2 by weight and filling the joint with epoxy mixture of Aradur-140, Araldite GY-257 and quartz sand & silicon flour mix No 10 in the ratio of 1:2:15 by weight and finishing the top surface smooth all as per manufacturers instructions and complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge for the following joint size:- Note:- Compound mention above are of make Araldite contractor may use similar compound manufacture by M/s Huntsman Advanced materials (India) Pvt Ltd or New gurbinder industries Ltd.

(a) Joints of size 15 to 20 mm wide and depth n.exc 20 mm

(b) Joints of size 15 to 20 mm wide and depth exc 20 mm but n exc 40 mm

M&L for repair to flexible surface (depressed portion / cracked portion) by cutting damaged / spilled portion to required depth removing useless worthless all looses and foreign materials etc to a distance exceeding 100 m but not exceeding 500 m. Cleaning the surface thoroughly with brushes and finally with compressed air, filling and levelling the surface with EPOXY TAR COMPOUND two components mortar after priming including formwork where required all as specified and as directed Make: SN industries or equivalent approved by GE

M&L for Repair to pot holes area of each pot hole n.exc 5 Sqcm of existing concrete slab, cleaning the pot hole thoroughly to ensure dust free using compressor air removing all dust / debris out of runway applying compound of hardener Aradur-140 and Araldite GY-257 primer in the ration of 1:2 by weight and filling the joint with epoxy mixture of Aradur-140, Araldite GY-257 and quartz sand & silicon flour mix No 10 in the ratio of 1:2:15 by weight and finishing the top surface smooth all as per manufacturers instructions and complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- Compound mention above are of make Araldite contractor may use similar compound manufacture by M/s Huntsman Advanced materials (India) Pvt Ltd or New gurbinder industries Ltd.
