COMP MAINT OF AUTOMATIC FIRE DETECTOR ,FIRE ALARM AND FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM INCLUD CONTROL WIRING, FIRE CONTROL PANELS, SPRINKLER, CONNECTED WORKS AT VARIOUS OTM AND TECH ACC AND REPAIR/REPOF FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS, FIRE HYDRANT SYSTEM INCL ALLIED WORKS

Comprehensive maintenance of fire detection system / automatic fire alarm system / fire suppression system / fire hydrant system, including connected pump motors of any type, valves, starter panels, control panels, detectors and associated accessories, installed at various locations in INS ANGRE & buildings located inside Naval Dockyard area, including attending day-to-day complaints and carrying out cleaning, inspection, repair and testing of equipment to keep the entire system in functional condition, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Detailed scope of work shall include the following: (i) Routine Maintenance: Regular cleaning, inspection, checking and rectification/repair as required of all equipment and components of fire detection, fire alarm, fire suppression and fire hydrant systems to ensure continuous and reliable operation. (ii) Operational Testing: Operational testing of all fire detection and fire fighting equipment, including pumps and panels, in the presence of the User’s Representative and Engineer-in-Charge. (iii) Test Reports: Submission of detailed test reports certifying satisfactory functioning of all equipment, duly signed by the contractor, User’s Representative and Engineer-in-Charge. (iv) Manpower & Attendance: Maintenance shall be carried out by sufficient numbere of skilled/unskilled technician having minimum 3–5 years’ experience, deployed on daily basis in general shift from 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs except Sundays to JE E/M-in-Charge at MES Service Cell for attending day-to-day complaints. Daily routine maintenance records shall be maintained in the format approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. All complaints shall be attended promptly and recorded in the complaint register.

(v) Emergency Visits: Emergency visits shall be carried out whenever called, in addition to routine maintenance, in case of any system failure due to any cause, without any extra cost. (vi) Materials & Spares: Materials required for replacement shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this Schedule as SUPPLY ONLY. However, minor consumables/spares such as screws, nuts, washers, wires, couplings of motors, tools and plants etc. shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. Note: In case of failure/absence of the attendence of the manpower at MES Service Cell during the specified time, recovery shall be effected @ ₹1000/- per hour beyond 4 hours.

Material and labour for locating faults and testing of all loops of Automatic Fire Detection System (AFDS), including smoke detectors, heat detectors, beam detectors, flame detectors, hooters, response indicators, manual call points etc. of existing make, comprising checking and testing of electrical wiring connections for each device, manual/mechanical cleaning of all connected devices, re-numbering of devices for programming in AFDS panels, configuration of connected devices as per actual site location, updating of software of AFDS panels of any make as per site requirement, including testing in the presence of User’s Representative and JE/Engineer-in-Charge, complete all as specified and directed. Notes: (i) Separate test report for each panel shall be submitted after completion of work. Cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (ii) All devices connected to each AFDS panel, irrespective of loop capacity, including loop testing, wiring testing, cleaning of detectors (smoke/thermal/beam/flame), response indicators, manual call points, re-numbering, configuration, programming and software updation of AFDS panel, shall be treated as one job.

Material and labour for refilling Sinorix 1230 (Siemens) or FK-5-1-12 (Rotarex) or FM-200 gas in cylinders of any capacity, as per site requirement, including disconnecting and safely removing cylinders from site, transporting to authorized factory/workshop for refilling, bringing back and reinstalling the same, including replacement of unserviceable pressure gauges, connector pipes, nozzles and other connected accessories, and testing in the presence of JE/Engineer-in-Charge, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Cost of transportation of gas cylinders to and from the factory/workshop shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate..

Material and labour for hydrostatic pressure testing (HPT) of gas cylinders of existing capacity at authorized factory/workshop, including successful testing, punching of test year, painting of cylinders, and submission of test certificates, complete all as specified and directed.

(i) Operational testing of all fire detection and fire-fighting equipment in the presence of User’s Representative and Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) Maintenance shall be carried out by one skilled technician having minimum 3–5 years’ experience and one helper. (iii) Materials required for replacement shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this schedule. However, minor consumables such as screws, nuts, wires, washers, motor couplings, tools & plants etc. shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. Note: Complaints shall be attended and rectified within 24 hours of intimation. In case of failure beyond 24 hours, recovery shall be effected @ ₹500/- per hour beyond the stipulated time.

Supply , fixing, testing in repairs of JEF ECO SAFE Maintenance Free Grounding Solution set comprising of High tensile low carbon steel rod of 3 Mts length & 25 mm dia with 250 micron ( averaSchneider ) molecularly bonded copper on the outer surface to confirm with requirements of UL467 along with Back-fill compound strictly be a Carbon based conductive concrete type which has a resistivity of less than 0.12 Ohm Mtr as per Clause 14.5D of IEEE : 80 standard. Back-fill compound should be electronically conductive ( Like in metals ) and should not depend on moisture for conduction. JEF Powerfill Loresco compound shall be supplied in 50 Pound Bag. ( 1 Bag of 50 Pounds required per earthing set). Back-fill comound should be environment friendly, should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete and should not leach / diffuse into the ground. A suitable earth terminaton clamp should also be supplied along with the set alongwith earth pit weatherproof incl all as specified . Note : Back-fill compund shall not be mixed with any soil while pouring in the bore hole.

M & L for Earth continuity conductor / main earthing lead, fixed on wall, batten, recess, chases, buried in ground, drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles, as required for loop earthing, using 25 mm × 3 mm galvanised iron strip, complete all as specified and directed.
