COMPLETION DRAWING: Preparation and submission of GAD/Completion drawing for the Major bridges/ROBS/RUBs based on soil exploration and water way calculation for fixing suitable 10 span as per RDSO design and drawing in AutoCAD on 100micon film double mat finish as per Railway standard approved by the Engineer-in-charge to specified scales including submission of check print for proof check to incorporate suggested corrections and modifications and supply final copy in compact disk and 6 copies in ammonia print in A0 size with all contractor's materials, labours, tools, plants etc., complete.
(i) Leading and dumping of Railway's stone ballast without rail traffic block from stacks collected on either side of formation in mid section / at yards at top of steep cuttings / side or bottom of high banks as directed; (ii) Spreading the ballast on the formation as per standard section and 10 required cushion with extra width on curves and; (iii) Boxing of ballast to standard sectional profile. All of the above shall be executed with contractor's skilled personnel, tools and plant, vehicles, machinery, fuel, consumables, loading, unloading with all incidental charges and in all kinds of weather conditions and site conditions including crossing of tracks wherever required duly observing all safety precautions and including all ascent, descent, taxes, duties, cess, surcharges, fees etc. completely as per the special conditions / specifications / regulations, as directed by the Engineer-in- Charge and as per the note(s) below. NOTES: 1. This item consists of 3 stages of payment as mentioned in the sub-items. The first 3 stages are for a lead of 150 m, the next 3 stages are for a lead between 150 m and 750 m and the last 3 stages are for a lead between 750 m and 5000 m. Dumping shall be undertaken in these 3 stages as instructed; 2. While operating sub-items d, e and f, sub- items a, b and c need not be and shall not be operated as sub-items d, e and f are all-inclusive and not extra over sub- items a, b and c. Similarly while operating sub-items g, h and i, sub- items a, b and c need not be and shall not be operated as sub-items g, h and i are all-inclusive and not extra over sub- items a, b and c; 3. Stage - 1 i.e. dumping of ballast shall be done in two phases - a) initial spreading and b) further dumping after laying the sleepers and linking the track as directed; 4. Stage -2 i.e. boxing of ballast to the required BG standard ballast profile as per the cushion specified as per IRPWM includes finishing to the specified BG profile; 5. Payment shall be done as per stack measurement without deduction for any voids; 6. Stack wise prior written permission of Engineer-in- Charge shall be taken for dumping of ballast. No payment shall be made in case no such prior written permission is obtained by the contractor. In addition, penal action shall be taken for disturbing the ballast stacks without the permission of the competent authority of Railway; 7. The rate includes leading and lifting / lowering of ballast at the top of steep cuttings or at the bottom of high banks on either side of the bank / cutting to the formation. a. Plotting initial levels: Computer Plotting of the theoretical cross section profile based on the initial levels of ground, recorded in the level books for cuttings/embankments at intervals of 10 25m or less including computation of theoretical profile/quantities duly deducting quantities for bridges and any other structure not requiring execution of earthwork in A4 size sheet with contractor's material, man power, consumables, tools and plants etc., and as directed by Engineer-in- charge. NOTES: i) Plottings and calculations are to be submitted to Railway in 3 sets. (ii) One cross section in one A4 size sheet is required.
Plotting final levels: Computer plotting of the theoretical & actual final finished cross section profile, duly indicating different type of strata available/ excavated in the x-section, based on the final levels recorded in the level books for banks/ cuttings at intervals of 25m or less, including computation of theoretical/actual quantities done as per classification of different types of 10 soil/blanketing material as certified by Engineer-incharge duly deducting quantities for bridges and any other structure not requiring execution of earthwork in A4 size sheet with contractor's material, man power, consumables, tools and plants etc., and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. NOTES: i) Plottings and calculations are to be submitted to Railway in 3 sets. ii)One cross section in one A4 sheet is required. iii) For embankments, computation of different soils viz., cut spoils, contractor's own earth, blanketing material are to be shown separately as per measurement recorded.
Excavation along the alignment of signalling cable/OFC/power cable carefully and exposing the same without any damage, and excavating the new trench along the railway alignment 10 or along the alignment as specified by the railway Engineer-in-charge, laying or removed cable, filling up all complete with sand and laying a layer of brick with contractor's own material, tools and plants etc., as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. NOTE: 1. In case the cable is damaged cost of restoration and the cost of cable will be recovered from the contractor. The decision of the railways with regard the cost to be recovered will be final.
Providing safety barricading as per drawing No. SWR/CN/BNC/SK/165-2018/R with contractor's materials and labour including all leads and lifts complete as directed by Engineer - in - charge. Note: 1.Casting of RCC pillars shall be carried out in nominated depot and submerged water 10 curing. 2. The precast RCC posts shall be transported to site duly handling carefully without causing any damage and erect it at nominated locations as per drawing duly ensuring safety of running trains. 3. Maintenance of rope/wire, RCC pillars, etc., shall be at the cost of contractor. 4. 90% payment shall be released after erecting fencing to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge. 5. (9) Removing and re-fixing joggled fish plates & wooden blocks, wherever necessary; (10) Manual consolidation of ballast in crib / shoulders; (11) Removing and refixing of traction bonds during the block in electrified sections (12) Dressing of ballast Note: 1. Tamping blocks are not identical & it may be given at any time either during day or night. 2. Stages of payment a) 30% of the rate will be paid on completion of pre tamping attention, b) Balance 70% of the rate will be paid on completion of post tamping. 3. Recovery at the rate of twice the above applicable rate will be effected in case contractor fails to carry out pre/during/post operation. 4.Payment shall be made only once in irrespective of numbers of TTRM packing round and after restoration of normal speed and restoration of complete ballast profile.

Note: 1. Excavation and concrete work will be paid separately. 2. Rail shall be made available within 250 metres SWR-CONST-HQ-ENGG/SOUTH WESTERN RLY Insertion of temporary girder in place of formation involving dismantling of track, removal of ballast and neatly stacking for future use, excavation & installation of CC crib or wooden crib at both ends as per approved design in one or more traffic blocks, excavation for creating space for insertion of girder as required, placement of girder by contractor's Crane, tools & plants, filling of earth/sand filled bags at different stages as required, linking of track and connecting with the approaches, ballasting, boxing and packing approach sleepers to make track fit for 20 kmph to the satisfaction of Engineer in-charge. Note: 1. The CC Cribs as required and Temporary Girder shall be supplied by Railways at available location. 2. Transportation of Temporary Girder to site shall be paid separately under relevant item. 3. The charges for wooden sleepers/blocks required for matting and bearing as per approved design shall be paid extra as per relevant item. 4. In case bridge timber / channel sleepers are required to be laid on girder, the same shall be paid separately under relevant item.

and sleepers/blocks required for matting and bearing as per approved design for use below and above CC Crib for insertion of Temporary Girder etc.. Note: The item is for one time use and released wooden sleepers/blocks shall be the property of the Contractor. Removal of temporary girder, crib on both ends and placing temporary girder on crib / cess away from Railway track as directed by engineer at site under traffic block; filling of Railway's earth by ramming, pulling ballast from stack / adjoining track / same track, laying track, linking with approach track and packing of ballast for opening track at 20 kmph speed, boxing & dressing of cess, ballast profiling etc. Note: If earth is to be brought by contractor from outside, the same will be paid separately.
