Taking down cement plaster/rough cast plaster from brick walls/soffits of roof projections & chajjas /ceilings etc. including racking out joints, hacking for key & scrubbing down with water etc including disposal of rubbish material to any distance out side MOD land complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for 15mm thick cement plastering in cement mortar (1:4) on any face of Brick walls or concrete surfaces including mixing of liquid WPC in mortar @ 200 ml per bag of cement of 50kg, finished even and fair complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- WPC shall be measured & paid separately as Supply only under appropriate item of BOQ.

Supply only liquid water proofing compound complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for rough cast plaster on exterior walls in two layers, under layer not less than 10mm cement plaster (1:3) (1 cement: 3 coarse sand ) furrowing the under layer with scratching tool, and while it is still in plastic state the roughcast mixture consisting of crushed stone or fine gravel aggregate (which is generally of size between 6 to 12 mm depending on the texture required) mixed with coarse sand and cement in the ratio of (1: 1: 1) shall be applied and finished even. The mix of cement and sand shall be made slightly wetter than normal for rendering to ensure that larger aggregates are thoroughly covered, complete in all respects and as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and labour for complete removal of existing treatment of any type/description (any layer) from external/internal wall/ceiling surfaces, soffits/chajja/roof projection surfaces etc., by scraping steel patti or Mechanical sander/grinder machine having suction vaccum Bag (Smart periodical methodology), complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for preparation of exterior surfaces of walls/ceiling/soffits etc (new surface or old prepared surface after complete removal where directed through site order book), applying traditional cement-based putty (white-cement-based polymer-modified powder) (thickness vary from 1 to 1.5 mm as required for desired smoothness and levelling of surfaces in two or more layers), including gently sand the surface with fine emery paper after filling the putty in first coat/second coat to make surface smooth and ready for receiving further painting work complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) The prepared surface after putty, the contractor will inform to the Engineer-in-Charge/GE for site inspection before applying further finishes. Further finishes work will start only after approval of the prepared surface from the Engineer-in-Charge through site order.

Supply only alkali resistant water-based primer of approved brand and manufacture, suitable for interior and exterior plastered, concrete, cement-based and similar surfaces, having coverage capacity of approximately 11 to 14 square metres per litre per coat under normal surface conditions. The primer shall be supplied in the manufacturer's original sealed containers/buckets of capacity as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, bearing batch number, manufacturing date, brand name and other relevant particulars. The material shall be delivered at MES Store Yard of AGE B/R in sound condition and shall conform to the manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Brand and Make of primer: - Seal O Primer of Berger / Smart Care Primero of Asian / Excel Alkali Prime of Nerolac /Weathershield Alkali Bloc PU+ Primer of Dulux Notes: (i) The Contractor shall, immediately upon placement of the Work Order and after approval of the sample panels as specified hereinbefore, procure and arrange 100% of the required quantity of primer for the entire work in one lot. (ii) Measurement for payment shall be made in litres (Ltr) of primer actually supplied and accepted at site. (iii) Primer shall be supplied only in original sealed packing of approved brand. Repacked, damaged, partially used or unsealed containers shall not be accepted. (iv) The quoted rate shall be deemed to include the cost of material, packing, loading, unloading, transportation, handling, stacking at MES Store Yard of AGE B/R and all incidental expenses necessary for delivery at site.

Supply only premium quality water-based exterior emulsion paint based on 100% acrylic binder with silicone additives, having VOC content less than 50 g/litre as per IS 101 (Part 2/Sec 2) and UV resistance conforming to IS 15489:2004, of approved brand and manufacture, suitable for application on plastered surfaces, concrete, cement-based surfaces and similar substrates. The paint shall have a coverage capacity of approximately 6.5 to 7.5 square metres per litre for two coats under normal surface conditions. The emulsion paint shall be supplied in the manufacturer's original sealed containers/buckets of capacity as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, bearing batch number, manufacturing date, brand name and other relevant particulars. The material shall be delivered at MES Store Yard of AGE B/R in sound condition and shall conform to the manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Brand and Make of acrylic emulsion paint: - Apex Ultima of Asian / Weather Coat antidust of Berger / Weather shield Protect of Dulux / Excel Total of Nerolac Notes : (i) The Contractor shall, immediately upon placement of the Work Order and after approval of the sample panels as specified hereinbefore, procure and arrange 100% of the required quantity of paint for the entire work in one lot. (iii) Exterior emulsion paint shall be supplied only in original sealed packing of approved brand and in approved colour shades (up to 4 to 5 shades as approved by the GE). Repacked, damaged, partially used, expired or unsealed containers shall not be accepted. (iv) The quoted rate shall be deemed to include the cost of material, packing, loading, unloading, transportation, handling, stacking at MES Store Yard of AGE B/R and all incidental expenses necessary for delivery at site.

Labour only for preparation of existing surfaces already prepared by removing loose particles, dust, dirt and other foreign matter using brooms, brushes or other approved means, applying one coat of primer and after that applying two coats of approved acrylic exterior emulsion paint in the specified camouflage pattern. The paint shall be applied by brush, roller or airless spray gun as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations to achieve a uniform finish and camouflage pattern, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Notes : (a) The cost of collecting paint, primer and other materials from AGE B/R Store Yard and transporting the same to the work site as per day-to-day requirements shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate. Nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (b) Dilution of primer and paint with clean water shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. As a general guideline, dilution shall be approximately 35% to 40% by volume for application by brush or roller and 40% to 45% by volume for application by spray gun, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer. Only such quantity of paint as is intended for same-day use shall be diluted. (c) A minimum interval of 4 to 6 hours, or as recommended by the manufacturer, shall be maintained between successive coats to ensure proper drying and curing. (d) Double scaffolding, staging, ladders, working platforms and all other access arrangements required for execution of the work at any height shall be provided by the Contractor. The cost thereof shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (e) The Contractor shall provide all necessary safety measures and personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety helmets, harnesses, gloves, goggles, safety shoes and other protective equipment to the workers as required. The cost thereof shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (f) Execution of work on perimeter walls or in areas affected by electric fencing shall be carried out only after obtaining necessary clearance and permission from the Engineer-in-Charge. Such work shall be completed within the time period specified by the Engineer-in-Charge for that particular area. Immediately upon completion of the work, or on expiry of the permitted working period, whichever is earlier, the Contractor shall inform the Engineer-in-Charge or his authorised representative for inspection, restoration of security arrangements and closure of the work permit. No claim whatsoever shall be entertained on account of restrictions imposed for security or operational reasons. (g) Measurement for payment shall be made on the net painted surface area actually painted and accepted, measured in square metres (sqm).

Material and labour for complete removal of existing treatment of any type and description (irrespective of number of layers) from the external surfaces of Overhead Water Tank (OHT) of height 15 m to 18 m and capacity 50,000 to 75,000 gallons, including tank shell, dome, staging, pillars, columns, ring beams, staircases, landings and all other appurtenant portions, by scraping with steel patti, steel wire brushes or other approved mechanical means, and preparing the surfaces for further treatment complete from bottom to top of the tank. The work shall further include applying two coats of premium quality water-based exterior emulsion paint based on 100% acrylic binder with silicone additives, having VOC content not exceeding 50 g/litre when tested in accordance with IS 101 (Part 2/Sec 2) and UV resistance conforming to IS 15489:2004 or latest revision, of approved brand and manufacture, in camouflage pattern using 4 to 5 approved colour shades as per pattern approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. The paint shall have a coverage capacity of approximately 6.5 to 7.5 square metres per litre for two coats and shall be applied over one coat of alkali-resistant water-based exterior primer of the same make having a coverage capacity of approximately 11 to 14 square metres per litre per coat, the paint shall be applied by brush, roller or airless spray gun as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations to achieve a uniform finish and camouflage pattern, complete in all respects as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Brand and Make of primer: - Seal O Primer of Berger / Smart Care Primero of Asian / Excel Alkali Prime of Nerolac /Weathershield Alkali Bloc PU+ Primer of Dulux : Brand and Make of exterior acrylic emulsion paint: - Apex Ultima of Asian / Weather Coat antidust of Berger / Weather shield Protect of Dulux / Excel Total of Nerolac Notes : (i) Any patch repair to plaster work, found necessary during execution, shall be carried out before commencement of painting work. The cost thereof shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (ii) A minimum interval of 4 to 6 hours, or such duration as recommended by the manufacturer, shall be maintained between successive coats to ensure proper drying, curing and adhesion of the paint system. (iii) Scaffolding, staging, ladders, suspended platforms and all other access arrangements required for execution of the work up to the topmost portion of the tank shall be provided, maintained and removed by the Contractor. The cost thereof shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (iv) The Contractor shall provide all necessary safety measures and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety belts, full-body harnesses, lifelines, helmets, gloves, safety goggles, safety shoes and other protective equipment as required under applicable safety regulations. The cost thereof shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (v) All exposed steel members fixed to stairs, ladders, rungs, handrails and landings of the OHT shall be cleaned and painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint. The cost thereof shall be deemed to be included in the quoted unit rate and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (vi) Measurement for payment shall be made on the basis of one complete Overhead Water Tank, including all components from bottom to top, and shall be paid as “Each Job” satisfactorily completed.
