PROVISION OF SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT STP AT ICGS VADINAR

Notes:- (1) Design of STP shall be got vetted from IIT/NIT and afterwards it shall be approved by Accepting officer before execution on ground. (2) The description of items of STP in BOQ is in brief and all components required as per design to treat the influent to specified degree/quality are included in the scope of item of STP even if description of item above does not specify the same. (3) Wherever pumping is required in STP after end of sewer network till storage tank of treated effluent, the same shall be provided by suitable pumps and for each stage two pumps (One working + one standby) shall be provided as per design requirement. Rate quoted for item of STP shall be inclusive of the provision. (4) The STP shall be based on MBBR technology and design shall be accordingly carried out. (5) The treated water after tertiary tre

(b) The STP shall have following major components but not limited to only following components and all components as requried for a functional STP shall be deemed to be included in the scope of work:- (i) Raw sewage collection tank (ii) Fine bar screen (iii) Oil and grease trap (iv) Equalization tank (v) Anoxic chamber (vi) Air blower (vii) MBBR (viii)Tube settler (ix) Sludge holding tank/sump (x) Tertiary treatment components (xi) Sludge dewatering arrrangments including screw press or similar arrangement (xii) Treated water storage tank

M&L for Cement concrete 1:3:6 type D2 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) as in coping all as specified

(c ) All components / tanks of the STP shall be constructed in RCC with minimum M 30 grade concrete using sulphate resisting portland cement as per IS 12330 with permanent specifications including foundations etc.complete (d) All pumping arrangements shall be in 01 Working + 01 Standby mode of adequate capacity. (e)The STP shall be provided with electro magnetic flow meters, valves, pressure gauges and bypass arrangements for emergency operation as per design and as on requirement basis. (f) Side channel type Air blower having adequate capacity (01 Working + 01 Standby) coupled with suitable motor, for providing air. Air rotameter is to be provided in each line for measurement of quantity of air. (g) SS Basket fine screen of suitable capacity shall be fitted at the inlet of Oil & Grease Trap chamber. (h) Oil & Grease Trap Chamber shall be provided having suitable size with auto decanter. (j) Diffusers with mounting/fixing stands of latest technology and adequate capacity in stainless steel of minimum SS 304 grade shall be provided wherever required (k) All Pumping arrangement and functional mechanism, technology as required for a complete operational plant shall be provided. (l) Filteration system:- Automatic filteration system AMPV (automatic multiport valve), starter panel +PSF+Filter feed pump (1w+1s) with a flow rate 1cu.m /hr with chlorine disinfection shall be provided.

Supply, Installation, testing and commissioning of silent diesel engine driven generating set CRDI std CPCB IV+, 415volt, 3 phase, 4 wire,engine as per IS 10002/10001 and alternator as per IS 13364 of capacity 40KVA at 0.8 PF, complete with sound proof canopy made of powder coated with specially designed lifting hooks, meet the latest CPCB norms of 75DB at 1 M distance all as spd and directed and comprising of following : (a) Engine: Greaves make model 3G11TAG31, Direct Injection, 3 cylinders, Water cooled, Compression Ignited, Turbo charged, and Charge Air-cooled diesel engine developing 74.1 hp at 1500 rpm & complying with BS5514 /ISO 3046 standards. (o) One set of online monitoring system for BOD, COD, TSS, pH, complete with all accessories. atment shall be fit for arboriculture activities etc. (6) All civil, electrical and mechanical components required after end of sewer network including raw sewage collection tank/ sump till delivery of treated effluent including storage tank of treated effluent before its pumping are covered under the item of STP and shall be inclusive in rate quoted for item of STP. (7) The quantities of various components if given in description of item are tentative and actual quantities as per design of STP for specified capacity shall be considered while quoting the rate for STP. (8) The sewage characteristics given above are indicative only and actual sewage sample shall be collected and tested before design of STP . No claim of any kind for variation in raw sewage characteristics from given above shall be entertained and treatment process shall be designed as per actual raw sewage characteristics. (9) The scope of item of STP given in BOQ starts from end point of sewage line. Hence necessary RCC sewage collection well/sump alongwith necessary sewage pumps of adequate capacity in 01 working + 01 standby configuration for each location are part of STP item and rate quoted shall be inclusive of all provisions. (10) The comprehensive maintenance of the STP as per scope given in Item No 1.06 during two years of defect liability period shall be deemed to be included in scope of Item No 1.00 to 1.05 and comprehensive maintenance during 8 years after completion of defect liability shall be measured and paid under item No 1.06 as per payment schedule given. (11)Item No 1.00 to 1.05 of this job shall be considered as 42% and Item No 1.06 & 1.07 which form Phase-II of this item shall be considered as 58%(Item No 1.06 - 15% and Item No 1.07- 43% ) of total quoted amount for Item No 1 for payment purpose. Payment schedule for 42% scope of work of this job shall be decided by GE during execution of work.Payment for Phase-II shall be released as per the schedule given in description of item No 1.06 & 1.07 (Phase-II) respectively.

Supply only moorum/red bajri for filling and levelling including stacking material in regular stacks for measurement .

he soil report for design of STP shall be provided by GE. The sub soil stratification comprises of top subsoil is poorly graded Gravels-sand mix with little fines followed by greyish highly weathered over consolidated basalt rock fragment. The recommended safe bearing capacity (minimum) for RCC isolated footing of size 1.5x1.5 is 20 T/M² at a depth of 1.5 mtr and 25 T/M² at a depth of 2.0 mtr. (r) As far as possible all major components of STP shall be above ground level only. (s) The different components of STP shall be connected with proper PCC walkways of minimum 1.0 meter width for movement of men and material for future maintenance. All components shall have PCC walkway of minimum 1.0 meter width on all sides. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of these provisions. (t) Pumping from collection sump shall be automated based on level of sewage. Design of collection sump to be as CPHEEO Manual for Sewerage and Sewage Disposal 2013. Area drainage of STP to be ensured. (u) A lab shall also be established alongwith requisite fascilities for testing & monitoring as specified. Space for establishment of lab shall be given by GE.

Supply and fix Flat multi stranded copper cable 1100 volt grade of Submersible cable of size 6 sqmm x 3 core, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for PCC 1:4:8 type D2 using 40mm graded aggregate as in bed to drain pipes for 150mm dia incl packing under and haunching against the sides of pipes after they are laid and tested for pipe 150mm bore.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B1 as in coping, surface channels, benchings, etc., of manholes finished fair and even

Surface Excavation not exceeding 25 Cm deep in soft/ loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

S&F 150 mm bore dia DWCPE sewage pipe, stiffness class SN 8 including sealing of joints fittings etc laid including all levelling complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Design of sewage network as per existing norms and standards for Vadinar station including vetting of design of sewage network from IIT/NIT and obtaining approval from Accepting Officer. The topographic survey of required areas shall be carried out to decide the best and most economical route/ alignment of the sewage lines in most efficient manner. The design of sewage network shall be done to carry sewage through gravity till sewage treatment plant as far as possible and to avoid intermediate pumping. Pumping arrangement shall be incorporated only if transport of sewage through gravity is not possible or becomes uneconomical. The cost benefit analysis shall be done prior to deciding the best alignment/ arrangement of sewage network. Following points to be considered while designing sewage network:- (a) Depth of sewer network to be restricted upto 3.5m depth. In exceptional cases, depth can be increased to 4m but not more than cumulative 5% of total sewer network. (b) When water table is high, avoid sewer network being submerged under water table for more than 10% during high water flow (can vary as per location). (c) Manholes spacing to be ensured as per CPHEEO Manual for Sewerage and Sewage Disposal 2013. In cases when sewer cleaning machine for long length are available for Maintenance & Operation (M & O), the distance can be increased accordingly. However all junctions will have manholes with drop of 30mm. (d) Self-cleansing velocity to be provided atleast once a day. Where velocity is not achieved, flushing point using treated waste water to be placed. Automatic Flushing Tank (AFT) can also be used. (e) Initial excavation depth of sewer can be reduced to 0.8m and in exceptional cases 0.65m, provided overburden is within design limit of sewer network. Wherever sewer line depth is less than 1m, caution markers be placed. Potable water pipleline not to be placed below the sewer pipeline.

Treated Water Supply:- Supply, Installation, Testing and commissioning of 5 HP, 3 phase Monoblock Pump, Valve,NRV, Pressure Guage, Pressure Switch and Pressure tank of 24 Lit etc. Including provision of PCC Foundation all as recommended by OEM complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying of CPVC pipes of size 50 mm dia (outer dia) SDR-11 including plain CPVC SDR including all fittings such as bends elbows, tees, short pieces, connectors, check nuts, diminishing pieces, caps and plugs, unions, etc fixed complete laid in trenches / along the walls / ceilings / floors / ducts / on pillar post and including making good all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and laying of CPVC pipes of size 32 mm dia (outer dia) SDR-11 including plain CPVC SDR including all fittings such as bends elbows, tees, short pieces, connectors, check nuts, diminishing pieces, caps and plugs, unions, etc fixed complete laid in trenches / along the walls / ceilings / floors / ducts /

Construction of brick masonry valve pit complete including necessary excavation and earth work complete all as specified with internal dimension 60x60x60cm (type 'B') including MS sheet cover 3mm thick welded with hinges on angle iron frame 50x50x6mm with hold fast grouted in 100mm thick PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 coping on top of brick wall including necessary locking arrangement complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.(Ref TD/A/169 Sheet 1/1 of CE Navy Kochi (Attached))

Supply and lay 90 /76 mm Double Walled Corrugated (DWC) Pipes having corrugation on the outer wall and plain surface on the inner wall confirming to IS14930 (Part-II) for protection of UG cables, laid in trenches/ road/ drain or fixed along wall, poles or laid under floor all as spd and as directed by Engr-In-Charge.

Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60×60cm.× 6mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metres deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less'than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, connected to galvanised earth strip 32 x 6 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated including testing on completion

Supply and fix galvanised iron earth strip of size 32 x 6 mm with epoxy insulators and fixing screws etc for earth continuity conductors to test point terminal including taking down old strip all as directed by Engr-in-charge.
