Material and labour for preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags/air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/track coat with bituminous primer @ 5kg per 10 Sqm and laying bituminous Premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete 30mm thick (minimum consolidated thickness) with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with 8 to 12 Tonne power road roller to required gradient and camber complete all as specified Note : (a) Material for SDAC shall be mixed in hot mixing plant. (b) Mix design of bitumenous SDAC will be got done from approved Lab. (c) The pemix carpet shall be laid with machenical paver.

M&L for preparation of new or previously treated surfaces to receive the thermoplastic paint and marking of guide lines,dashes,arrows,letters etc with reflective thermoplastic paint 2 to 2.5 mm thick using marking machine,white,golden,yellow or black colour as required using glass beads necessary for achieving reflection on roads pavements and the like as per BS 6088 complete all as specified and directed. Make:- Metro road system/shivalik/Asian or all other equivalent makes as specified in Appendix B list of makes. Notes:- 1. Unit rate quoted by the Contractor include for provision of red signals to keep off traffic from green work, cleaning road surface and working during odd hrs when traffic is light. 2.The line marking shall stand out boldly and solidly without showing sign of scatch marks or surface underneath.If necessary, the surface shall be remarked after removal of existing treatement untill the desired result is obtained.
