Designing, providing, fixing, testing and commissioning of AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF VALVE Automatic shut off valve shall be provided as safety device for use with chlorine (Cl2) gas cylinders. System includes: - Automatic shut off valve for safety in case of chlorine (Cl2) gas leakage. Operating Procedures: - The system will consist of electronically controlled precision actuators for automatic operation of chlorine (Cl2) gas cylinder valve in case of an emergency. The system shall be compatible with existing chlorine gas leak detectors installed at site and shall automatically operate the chlorine (Cl2) cylinder valve through the output signal from the leak detector in case of chlorine (Cl2) gas leakage. Technical Specification: - I. Performance Requirements: - 1. Installation on existing chlorine (Cl2) gas cylinders 2. Attached to valve body 3. “Clamp on system” allowing the actuator attachment and detachment from the valve body in seconds 4. Adjustable torque to fit any specific regulations and requirements 5. Valve closure in less than 30 seconds 6. Actuator minimum step angle: Upto 1° II. Operational Requirements: 1. Housed in an IP65-rated enclosure. 2. Compatible with chlorine (Cl2) gas leak detectors having any analog or digital output with provision for auto-calibration with the leak detector. 3. Has an actuator memory and control unit so that the system has real-time update of cylinder valve status. 4. Utilizes an electronic actuator with an independent driver for precision in valve operation. 5. Provides a variable closing torque of 10-20 ft-lb which can be manually adjusted. 6. Utilizes a chlorine resistant coating of Teflon/Xylan on the housing of the actuator to ensure protection of internal components of the actuator. 7. Utilizes a status light to indicate operating status. 8. Includes provision for manual operation of chlorine cylinder valve. 9. Designing, providing, fixing, testing and commissioning of ONLINE WATER QUALITY ANALYZER for testing of available chlorine and turbidity in water One No. continuous online monitoring of available chlorine and turbidity analyzer shall be provided for monitoring the water supply at delivery. System includes: - Online available chlorine and turbidity analyzer for continuous and online monitoring of drinking water. Operating Procedures: - 1. The method of measuring available chlorine will be colorimetric. Instrument chemistry will employ N, N-diethyl-p phenylenediamine (DPD) method. 2. The low range online turbidity-meter consisting of white light source and 360° x 90° detection system consisting of multiple light sensors with predictive diagnostics designed to monitor turbidity in a sample stream. Technical Specifications: - I. Performance Requirements for available chlorine: - 1. Measurement range: 0 to 10 mg/L (ppm) available chlorine 2. Accuracy: ± 5% of reading or ± 0.1 mg/L (ppm), whichever is greater from 0 to 5 mg/L (ppm) as Cl2 3. Resolution: 0.1 mg/L (ppm) 4. Designing, providing, fixing, testing and commissioning of VACUUM-OPERATED AUTOMATIC SWITCHOVER SYSTEM compatible with the existing gas chlorination system. One No. auto-switchover system including standby chlorinator for the existing one no. gas chlorinator shall be supplied for round the clock disinfection of filtered water. System includes: - Auto-switchover system with standby gas chlorinator having capacity upto 2000 gm/hr for continuous disinfection through chlorine (Cl2) in water consisting of: - (a) Auto-switchover module (b) Full vacuum chlorination system in all respect consisting of (i) Regulator (ii) Measuring Tube (iii) Ejector (iv) PF Tubing (v) Spanner Operating Procedures: - Vacuum operated automatic switchover system should be compatible with the existing gas chlorination system designed to automatically switch chlorine feed from an empty cylinder/faulty system to a full cylinder/standby system to ensure round-the-clock disinfection even when the system is unattended. Technical Specifications: - I. Auto-switchover module: - 1. Vacuum based auto-switchover module having two independent chlorination systems. 2. Fiberglass reinforced ABS – carbon black has excellent strength, mechanical crack resistance and dimensional stability. (iv) Variable area precision Borosilicate glass tube with Pyrex glass indicating float with English and Metric graduations. 3. Ejector : - (i) Maximum Back Pressure Resistance of the ejector - 200 PSI (pound per square inch)/ 13.78 Kg/cm2. (ii) Dual check valve for High/Low Back Pressure. (iii) Constructed using fiberglass reinforced ABS - carbon black for high UV resistance.
