REPAIR/RESURFACING OF CERTAIN ROADS INCLUDING ROAD FURNITURE, PAINTING, KERBS, ROAD SIDE PATHWAYS ETC IN THE AOR OF AGE B/R-I UNDER GE 864 EWS

M&L for preparing surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc for black top surface complete all as specified and directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area n. exc 400 sqm and exc 50mm but n. exc 100mm deep complete all as specified and directed by Enge-in-Charge.

M&L for preparing of unsurfaced water bound macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc.and applying evenly a priming/tack coat (paving bitumen) with bituminous primer @ 10Kg/10 Sqm using paving bitumen complete all as specified and directed.

M&L applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 3 kg per 10 sqm with paving bitumen for bituminous surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

M&L applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 kg per 10 sqm with paving bitumen for bituminous surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.50% binder content of paving bitumen Gde VG-30 by weight of total mix rolled and compacted, mixed in mechanical hot mixed plant and pre-mixed material laid with mechanical paver, finished including rolling to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L premix bituminous, macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using paving bitumen VG-30 @ 4% (minimum) by the weight of total mix laid with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed. Notes for ser item No 6 & 7: (i) Preparation of mix in hotmix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible and has to maintain the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with depolyment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable. (ii) Central computerised Hot mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing of constituents for preparation of bituminous macadam and the same shall be laid with mechanical sensor paver all as specified and directed. (iii) Over newly provided bituminous macadam surfaces, further bituminous work, if ordered, shall be provided simultaneously after provision of bituminous macadamı & nο separate payment for provision of tack coat for bonding between the bituminous macadam & further bituminous work necessiated due to the time period gap or otherwise shall be made for separately. (iv) The Design mix shall be carried out from the Zonal lab/ Govt approved lab/Govt Engr College as approved by GE and design mix shall be got approved by GE before execution of the work. (v) The cost of all the above aspects shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of above item.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters, etc. on roads, pavements with adequate No of coats and the like exc 10cm wide with road marking paint, white, golden yellow complete all as specified and directed.

S&F cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and including MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions including taking down old unserviceable cat eyes complete all as specified and directed.
