RETROFITTING AND WATERPROOFING OF PHYSICS LAB AND LIBRARY

Repairing Support Portion of Beams Note : (i) Item No 1.01 to 1.12 shall be measured and paid under item No 1 of BOQ. (ii) Cost of item NO 1.01 to 1.12 shall be deemed to be included in this item.

Providing adjustable steel props at least 4 nos. in each beam at a distance of 2 metres from support over the beam at the lower floor, also providing 4 nos similar supports at the beam of the lower floor from the floor level.

Carefully drilling holes 12mm dia and fixing 75mm long, 12mm dia G.I nozzles with epoxy sealant Hind Sealant E or equivalent.

Sealing all the exposed cracks existing in the beam with epoxy sealant Hind Sealant E or Equivalent.

Injecting low viscous two component epoxy grout Hind ERS(LV) or equivalent to fill up the void formed inside the cracks.

Carefully stripping out the plaster from the side and bottom of beam upto a length of 1.8 metres from support with a mechanical cutter at least 24 hours after the previous grouting operation

Cutting pockets of atleast 50 mm thickness for the support portion of beam in the brick wall

Fabrication of U-Channel with 5mm thick MS plate of length 2.2 metres and of width 10mm more than the width of the beam and 5mm more than the depth of the beam and painting the same with epoxy zinc protective paint like Hind Anti Rust EZ or equivalent Fosroc sika etc

Inserting the fabricated U channel from outside along the beam keeping 400mm within the support wall and 1.8 metre along the beam from the support. Providing temporary props to hold the beam horizontally in line before any further operation.

Sealing the support portion (bottom & sides) of the U channel with high strength micro concrete Hind HSMC or equivalent with necessary shuttering.

Sealing all the gaps between the U channel, beam and slab of the ceiling with epoxy sealant Hind Sealant E or equivalent and providing 12mm dia 75mm long G.I nozzles at the sides and bottom of the beam and MS plate junction

Injecting two component low viscous epoxy grout Hind ERS(LV) or equivalent after hardening of the sealant applied in the previous operation to fill the gap between the beam and U section and to ensure complete adhesion of the U section with the RCC beam.

After setting of the epoxy grout, drilling holes on the side of the U section by electrical drill upto 75mm depth and fixing steel fastners @ 6nos in each side of the beam.

CHAJJA REPAIR

Providing and fixing single scaffolding system on the exterior side of building with Bamboos, by fitting and fixing horizontal & vertical props, joining with appropriate fasteners in the scaffolding for working platform etc. (for exterior repairing works).

Demolishing R.C.C. work manually/ by mechanical means including disposal of unserviceable material within 50 metres lead.

Drilling hole with electrical drill machine upto a depth of 60 mm and anchoring 8 mm dia Tor steel reinforcement with polyester resin anchoring material ( Hind Anchorlok or equivalent) complete as per manufacturers specification.

S&F MS TMT bar 8 dia & over, cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire not less than 0.90mm dia or securing with clips.

Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of formwork after completion of job (for : Weather shade, Chajjas, corbels etc., including edges).

M&L for Application of bonding coat based on polymer modified cementicious materials such as Nitobond SBR/Hind Styrene BR or equivalent at a ratio of (1:1:3 ie. 1 HSBR : 1 Water : 3 Cement) to act as bonding agent between old and new concrete including materials and labour as per manufacturer's specification.

M&L for Reinforced cement concrete work in weather shade, chajjas, corbels etc. excluding the cost of centring, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement with 1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand : 3 graded stone aggregate 12 mm nominal size) cement concrete admixed with super plasticizer Hind Plast Super or equivalent as per manufacturers specification.

M&L for Applying 15 mm cement plaster of mix :1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine sand) with IS 2645 certified integral waterproofing compound Hind Proof No 1 or equivalent @ 1 kg per bag of cement fortified with "Recron Fibre" as secondary reinforcement as per manufacturer's specification.

Taking down cement plaster on wall/ceiling/roof etc including raking out joints, hacking for key scrubbing down with water etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 15 mm thick rendering on fair faces of brick /concrete surfaces in CM (1:6), finished even and smooth (without using extra cement ) complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for rendering 15 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4, in two layers (1st layer 10 mm thick rendering coat and 2nd layer 5 mm thick finishing coat) on brick work or concrete surfaces, second layer (finishing coat) mixed with liquid water proofing compound @ 200 ml / 50 Kg bag of cement as per manufacturer's instructions and finished the surfaces even and fair without using extra cement complete. Note : Liquid WPC will be measured and paid separately.

M&L for rendering 5 mm thick in cement mortar 1:3 on concrete surfaces of ceiling and finishing the surfaces even and smooth complete.

M&L for applying 2mm thick Birla / JK Putty in two layers on old plaster surfaces of wall including complete removal of existing wall finish of any type with wire brush, brooming, dusting and finally washing with water to clean the surface absolutely free from any kind of foreign materials and making good minor cracks etc. and surfaces absolutely even and smooth, rubbing with sand paper complete.

M & L for preparation of newly plastered surfaces of wall & concrete and applying 2 mm thick wall care putty including preparation complete.

M&L for applying two coats of oil bound distemper on plaster surfaces of wall or concrete over a coat of primer on prepared surfaces including, rubbing with sand paper complete.

M&L for applying 1 mm thick Birla / JK Putty in two layers on old ceiling surfaces including complete removal of existing wall finish of any type with wire brush, brooming, dusting and finally washing with water to clean the surface absolutely free from any kind of foreign materials and making good minor cracks etc. and surfaces absolutely even and smooth, rubbing with sand paper complete.

M & L for preparation of newly plastered surfaces of ceiling and applying 1 mm thick wall care putty including preparation of new surface complete.

M&L for applying two coats of oil bound distemper on ceiling over a coat of primer on prepared surfaces including, rubbing with sand paper complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of old decorated plastered or unplastered surfaces of wall by brooming down or steel wire brushing, scrapping down smoke soot, moulds, moss and efflorescent salts and trading oil and greasy spots and applying two coat of white wash complete.

Preparation of old surfaces of ceiling and applying two coats of oil bound distemper.

M&L preparation of new plastered or unplastered surfaces of wall and applying two coats of cement based paint over a coat of primer complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Preparing old painted surfaces of walls, chajjas etc by washing rubbing down and stopping and applying two coat of cement base paint white or tinted complete all as specified as directed.

M&L for two coats of weather coat paint (apex) over a coat of primer on new surfaces on wall including preparation of newly/Old plastered surfaces complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (Make: asian, Durolex or equivalent)

ROOF WATERPROOFING TREATMENT WORK

Demolition of cement concrete/ of any description and in any position not other wise specfically provided complete all as speified.

Application of bonding coat based on polymer modified cementicious materials such as Nitobond SBR/Hind Styrene BR or equivalent at a ratio of (1:2:6 ie. 1 HSBR : 2 Water : 6 Cement) to act as bonding agent between Brickwork and new plaster including materials and labour as per manufacturer's specification.

M&L 12 mm thick rendering on roof surfaces/concrete surface in CM 1:4 admixed with integral waterproofing admixture Hind Proof No.1 or equivalent in Fosroc, sika, pidilite @ 1 kg per bag of cement.to obtain a smooth surface for receiving waterproofing work

M&L for application of Acrylic Polymer based cementicious waterproofing coating Hind Crete Plus WPM or equivalent admixed with cement in the ratio 1:2 ( 1 part Hind Crete Plus WPM : 2 parts cement ) by weight reinforced with Glass fibre wooven mesh as main waterproofing coating.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B0 (Using 12.50 mm graded stone aggregate) in roof padding/kerbs/sunken slab etc complete all as spd and directed,

Disposal of moorum/building rubbish/ malba/ similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste material by mechanical transport including loading, transporting, unloading (With in MOD land ) for lead upto 10km for all lifts, complete as per directions of Engineer-in-charge.
