MAINT/REPAIR OF LIGHTENING CONDUCTORS EARTHING, AMF PANELS AND ALLIED WORKS AT OLD AND NEW CANTT AND DISMANTLING, REFIXING AND CERTAIN REPAIRS OF SOLAR WATER HEATING SYSTEM UNDER GE (N) PATIALA

M & L for Earthing complete with galvanized earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60cm x 6mm thick buried directly in ground to the depth of not less than 2.25 mtr below ground level with top edge of earth plate or a depth not less than 1.50 m below ground level connected to GI strip 32 x 6mm as earth lead by means of galvanized bolts, nuts check nuts and washers and necessary excavation and earth work PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20mm graded brick aggregate for earth pit RCC cover , charcoal & common salt filled in alternate layers funnel with 20mm bore light grade watering pipe, 40mm dia GI pipe light grade for protection of GI strip, wire mesh and connected to earth point including testing on all as specified and shown in electric plate No 3 of SSR Part I.

M & L for Earthing complete with galvanised steel pipe electrode, 40mm bore, medium grade, 2.5 metres length, buried directly and preferably vertically in ground with top edge not less than 1.25 metres below ground level connected with earthing lead of 4 mm dia galvanised iron or steel wire all as shown in Plate No. 2 to the earthing test point all as specified and indicated including testing on completion, complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, fix in replacement of earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing as required of size 32 x 6 mm GI strip complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix including replacement of old existing insulators from wall and recess, by elapped red DMC earthing GI strip insulators including fixing them by nut and bolts properly, for electrical installation and for lightning arrestor for ( GI strip ) of any size installation fixed on wall and recess complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement air termination, single pointed aluminium rod 12mm dia and 300mm long complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement mild steel screw bolts (machine made) with hexagonal or square heads at one end and screwed the other, or screwed both ends, each screwed end to be fitted with washers and one hexagonal or square nut, n exc 5cm long complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down carefully galvanized iron steel wire drawn straight horizontal as continuous earth wire on existing LT poles of size 4.0 mm dia from LT over head lines, after unbinding from insulators for replacement incl Restringing/ restretching to dismantled serviceable G I wire complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Replaced G I wire shall be measured and paid under respective item supply only of sch for measurement length of each wire shall be taken separately.

Supply and fix Galvanised iron steel wire 3.15 or 4mm dia,incl tightening and restringing existing loose / broken continuous GI wire 4 mm dia on existing LT over head lines including stringing all as required at site complete all as specified and as directed.

M & l for PCC 1:4:8 TYPE D-2 using 40 mm graded broken stone aggregate as in mass concrete in foundations, concrete in wall slab etc . complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate for coping around the pole strut above ground level and filling in depth of poles. including necessary form work and finishing the surface fair and even without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, fixing of Aluminium strip 25 x 3.15mm with DMC saddles heavy duty and fixing screws etc on RCC wall of overhead Reservoir for down conductors including taking out old strip complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75 x 75 x25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hex head screw complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for PCC 1:2:4 type B-2 using 20 mm graded aggregate for earth PCC pit and platform incl. necessary form work, fair and finishing without using extra cement complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix funnel for watering pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix galvanize iron pipe 40 mm bore (dia), light-grade for protection of lightening conductor, laid in floor, fixing to wall complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix galvanized iron pipe 20 mm bore (dia), light-grade for watering pipe protection etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Taking Down Solar Water Heating System including 4 Nos solar Plates, 2 Nos Solar Tank ( 200 Ltr) ,5 Nos PVC Tank, angle iron stands, Connected copper pipes, GI Pipes, PVC hose pipes, nuts bolts, washers, GI Nipple, union socket, flanges and screws at building No SM3 and all connected items and depositing safely to AGE E/M Store yard complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Taking Down Solar Water Heating System including 04 Nos solar Plates, 1 Nos Solar Tank ( 500 ltr) ,02 Nos PVC Tank, iron stand, angle stands, Connected copper pipes, GI Pipes, PVC hose Pipes, nuts bolts, washers, GI Nipple, union socket, flanges and screws at building No P-6 (OTM) and all connected items and submitting to the AGE E/M Workshop complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Taking Down Solar Water Heating System including 04 Nos solar Plates, 1 Nos Solar Tank ( 500 ltr) ,02 Nos PVC Tank, iron stand, angle stands, Connected copper pipes, GI Pipes, PVC hose Pipes, nuts bolts, washers, GI Nipple, union socket, flanges and screws at building No P-8 (OTM) and all connected items and submitting to the AGE E/M Workshop complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Taking Down Solar Water Heating System including 02 Nos solar Plates, 1 Nos Solar Tank ( 200 ltr) ,01 Nos PVC Tank, iron stand, angle stands, Connected copper pipes, GI Pipes, GI Nipple, PVC Hose Pipes, nuts bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws at Building No P-8 ( Mess ) and all connected items and submitting to the AGE E/M Workshop complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Taking Down Solar Water Heating System including 8 Nos solar Plates, 2 Nos Solar Tank ( 500 Ltr) ,2 Nos PVC Tank iron stand, angle stands, Connected copper pipes, GI Pipes, GI Nipple, PVC Hose Pipes, nuts bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws Family Ward and all connected items and submitting to the AGE E/M Workshop complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Taking Down Solar Water Heating System including 4 Nos solar Plates, 1 Nos Solar Tank ( 500 Ltr) ,1 Nos PVC Tank iron stand, angle stands, Connected copper pipes, GI Pipes, GI Nipple, PVC Hose Pipes, nuts bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws at Building No P 52 (OTM) and all connected items and submitting to the AGE E/M Workshop complete all as specified and as directed.

Note: For S No 17 to 23 (a) Contractor is advised to visit the solar site and check locations of solar water heaters to be repaired and then quote the tender accordingly. No comments regarding height of building and other inaccessibilty issues will be entertained thereof. Any T&P required to reach the roof and loading and unloading of defective/ unserviceable parts to be done by the contractor without any extra cost. (b) T & P and labour required for taking down of UNSV parts, transportation to storeyard and refixing tha same has been catered in this item. (c) Rate quoted by the contractor shall deemed to be included for making good the worn out/ missing nuts bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws etc under relevant item.

Reassembling, refixing to hot water storage tank of solar water heater of 200 Ltr litre capacity made of stainless steel (IA SI-304) 1.6 mm thick and testing of Solar Water Heating System ( 4 Nos solar Plates, 2 Nos Solar Tank ( 200 Ltr) ,5 Nos PVC Tank) including replacement of unserviceable parts ( PVC Hose Pipes, GI Nipple, nuts bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws), Copper Pipe, GI Pipe including all fittings such as elbows union sockets etc at Building No SM3 wherever required at the discretion of the Engr-in- Charge shall be carried out by the contractor for efficient functioning of Solar Water heating System.

Reassembling, refixing to hot water storage tank of solar water heater of 500 litre capacity made of stainless steel (IA SI-304) 1.6 mm thick and testing of Solar Water Heating System ( 04 Nos solar Plates, 1 Nos Solar Tank ( 500 ltr) , 03 Nos PVC Tank) including replacement of unserviceable parts ( PVC Hose pipes, GI Nipple , missing nuts bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws), Copper Pipe, GI Pipe including all fittings such as elbows union sockets etc at building No P-6 (OTM) wherever required at the discretion of the Engr-in- Charge shall be carried out by the contractor for efficient functioning of Solar Water heating System.

Reassembling, refixing brazing/welding to hot water storage tank of solar water heater of 500 litre capacity made of stainless steel (IA SI-304) 1.6 mm thick and testing of Solar Water Heating System ( 04 Nos solar Plates, 1 Nos Solar Tank ( 500 ltr) ,03 Nos PVC Tank) including replacement of unserviceable parts ( GI Nipple, missing nuts bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws) , Copper Pipe, GI Pipe including all fittings such as elbows union sockets etc at building No P-8 (OTM),wherever required at the discretion of the Engr-in- Charge shall be carried out by the contractor for efficient functioning of Solar Water heating System.

Reassembling, refixing to hot water storage tank of solar water heater of 200 litre capacity made of stainless steel (IA SI-304) 1.6 mm thick and testing of Solar Water Heating System ( 02 Nos solar Plates, 1 Nos Solar Tank ( 200 ltr) ,01 Nos PVC Tank) including replacement of unserviceable parts (PVC Hose pipes, GI Nipple , missing nuts bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws) Copper Pipe, GI Pipe including all fittings such as elbows union sockets etc at Building No P-8 ( Mess ) wherever required at the discretion of the Engr-in- Charge shall be carried out by the contractor for efficient functioning of Solar Water heating System.

Reassembling, refixing brazing/welding to hot water storage tank of solar water heater of 500 litre capacity made of stainless steel (IA SI-304) 1.6 mm thick and testing of Solar Water Heating System ( 4 Nos solar Plates, 1 Nos Solar Tank ( 500 Ltr) ,1 Nos PVC Tank) including replacement of unserviceable parts ( PVC Hose Pipes, GI Nipple, missing nuts bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws), Copper Pipe, GI Pipe including all fittings such as elbows union sockets etc at Building No P 52 (OTM) wherever required at the discretion of the Engr-in- Charge shall be carried out by the contractor for efficient functioning of Solar Water heating System.

For item No. 24 to 29 Note: (a) All repair shall be carried out by the contractor at his own expenses for efficient functioning. Cost of the additional elements shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor against respective item of this schedule. Contractor is advised to visit the site to ascertain the model and manufacturer of system before quoting his rates. (b) Rate quoted by the contractor shall deemed to be included for making good the worn out nut bolts, washers, union socket, flanges and screws etc. (c) T & P and labour required for transportation of Solar items back to the existing site for refixing tha same has been catered in this item. (d) Any unserviceable item to be replaced such as Heating element, Thermostat, GI Pipe, copper pipe angle iron stand will be meaured and paid separately under relevant item.

M&L for reinforced cement concrete type B-l, 1:2:4 (20 mm graded aggregate) in precast posts, fencing posts, straining or terminal posts, struts etc. for fencing, average sectional area n exc 100 sq. cm, with or without chamfered angles and flat, splayed, rounded or mitred tops after dismantling of old PCC foundation complete all as directed and specified.

Supply, fabrication and fixing of mild steel frame/staging / height for placing of cold water tank/Stainless steel tank/Solar Flat plate collector for solar water heater made out of mild steel angle iron 40 x 40 x 6 mm, MS flat, plates of size 50 x 6 mm etc. includind nut, bolts etc. including welding ,bending cold , or hot in any shape or size as indicated or directed and inclusive of one red oxide primer coat ,one under coat and one finishing coat of synthetic enammel paint including grouting in PCC block of 1:2:4 complete.(PCC to be measured and paid for separately in respective section)complete all as specified and directed..

Supply and fixing in replacement Galvanized steel water tubing medium grade 20 mm bore screwed joints including all fittings such as elbows union sockets complete, fixed on wall, where required complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing as in replacement Copper Pipe water tubing medium grade 25 mm bore screwed joints including insulations and all fittings such as elbows union sockets complete on wall with where required complete all as specified and directed

Supply and fix PVC water tank of capacity 500 litres complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for solar heating tank of size 200 LPD capacity with heat exchanger complete including insulation with glass/rock wool and outercover of specific thickness necessary connections ,fittings complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only as in Replacement of PVC hose pipe for Solar water heating system 200/400/500 litres capacity including clamps , washers, bolts etc where-ever required. ( Set of two)

Supply and fix as in replacement GI nipple 20mm bore 8" long for Hot water tank of solar water heating system of capacity 200/500 litres.

M & L for solar flat plate collector with all necessary accessories complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for sub main wiring with 2 runs of Single core, FRLSH PVC insulated unsheathed cable 1100 Volts grade heavy duty copper conductor multistaranded of size 6 Sq.mm. (nominal area) drawn through existing PVC concealed conduit Including one single core green colour PVC FRLSH Insulated unsheathed multistranded copper conductor cable of size 4.0 Sq. mm. as earth wire upto common earth and connected to earth dolly complete all as specified & directed by Engr-in-charge. Note-Two runs of 6 sqmm as pvc cable and one run of 4.0 sqmm as earth wire shall be considered as one unit length.
