A. SOLAR PV MODULE
Supply and Fixing mono-facial half cut mono-PERC DCR Solar Photovoltaic module shall be MNRE/GOI and ALMM approved having minimum 520 KWp capacity .The PV modules and Solar Cell used should be made in India having efficiency should be minimum 21% and minimum fill factor 75%, temperature co-efficient power shall be equal to or better than - 0.45%/°C.to be used. The rated power of the solar PV module shall have maximum tolerance up to +3%. and no negative tolerance. | 1.01speed selected for design. The PV modules used must qualify to the latest edition of IEC standards or equivalent BIS standards, i.e., IEC 61215/IS14286, IEC 61853-Part I/IS 16170-Part I, IEC 61730 Part-1 & Part 2 and IEC 62804 (PID).For the PV modules to be used in a highly corrosive atmosphere throughout their lifetime, they must qualify to IEC 61701/IS 61701. The PV modules shall be equipped with IP 65 or better protection level junction box with required numbers of bypass diodes of appropriate rating and appropriately sized output power cable of symmetric length with MC4 or equivalent solar connectors. PV modules shall be warranted for their output peak watt capacity. All PV modules should have a nominal power output more than 90% at STC during the first Ten years and more than 80% during next 15 years. Further, module shall have nominal power output of more than 97% during the first year of installation. PV Module shall also be in conformity to latest minimum technical specifications issued by MNRE & IREDA from time to time. DCR Modules should be of MNRE's ALMM & IREDA approved companies and as per latest IEC/IS standards. SPV Modules shall be essentially indigenously manufactured (Made in India) only for the Makes -Havells/ Adani/ Waaree/ Vikram Solar/ Luminous Note : (i) Selection of module power and number of modules shall be according to design based on the available shadow free roof top area & adequate walkway and final selection to be got approved from GE before commencement of work. Adequate number of module to be installed to obtain DC power ouput in KWp. (ii) Each module shall have RFID tag encapsulated/ laminated inside glass. Following information must be mentioned in RFID tag (a) Name of Manufacturer of SPV Module (b) Name of Manufacturer of Solar Cell (c) Month and year of Manufacturing (separately for solar cell and module) (d) Country of Origin for solar cell and module | |||||||||

MODULE MOUNTING STRUCTURE (MMS) at Hanger No.2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & Hanger No.8 Annexe AFS Chakeri, Kanpur Design, supply/ procure, fixing, module mounting & support structure made of Hot rolled galvanized steel Grade : S390GD(EN 10346)) with min 80 micron thickness zinc coating/galvanization as per relevant IS code .The structure shall be mounting directly on sheet metal roof or penetrating the sheet metal and fixing to the sub structure. The structure shall be non-corrosive and tilted at an angle suitable to obtain peak output power at site from the available solar radiation. The frames consists of channels, purlin, plates, columns etc. including leg assemblies of array structure. Necessary RCC foundation (if applicable) and associated iron work cutting, drilling, welding, jointing, grouting, PCC/ RCC filling, disposing waste material, etc., complete and fixing mounting arrangement suitable for SPV modules so as it can withstand wind speed of 150 km per hour or as per IS-875 Part-3 (2015). The mounting structure is to be installed at sheet metal roof (as existing at site) and the array structure has to be so designed that maximum load is directly on roof structure to avoid any affect on life & strength of structure.It shall also occupy minimum space without sacrificing the output of SPV panels & adequate space between the arrays shall be available for easy cleaning and maintenance. Nuts, bolts, mounting structure including module mounting structure shall have to be adequately protected from the atmosphere and weather prevailing in the area. All the fasteners, nut, bolts shall be of Stainless Steel of grade SS 304 or hot dip galvanized and panel mounting clamps shall be of aluminium and must sustain the adverse climatic conditions. The minimum clearance of the lowest point of the structure from the tin shade should be more than 100mm.The module mounting structure shall be securely anchored to the roof structure. The base of the structure should be connected on the Purlin of the tin shed with the proper | |||||||||
| 1.01riveting. All structure members should be of minimum 2 mm thickness. The contractor quoted rates shall be deemed to inclusive of all civil works for mounting structure and its foundation including roof treatment after grouting and civil works to prevent seepage and damage to roof structure. Contractor to submit structural design and drawings duly vetted by professor of IIT/NIT or by govt institute authorized by MNRE or NISE. Structural material shall be corrosion resistant and electrolytically compatible with the materials used in the module frame, its fasteners, nuts, and bolts .Adequate spacing shall be provided between two panel frames and rows of panels to facilitate personnel protection, ease of installation, replacement, cleaning of panels and electrical maintenance. Note: (i)The contractor shall submit structural design on Stad-Pro based or equivalent software on wind load 150 Kmph, live load and dead load of structure with solar panel & seismic zone, wind speed zone of Chakeri, Kanpur( UP). Any deflection to the mounting structure shall be as per IS 800:2007. Structural design of the mounting structure should be carried out by a consultant/ company approved by the GE. The height of Roof top MMS shall be as per latest MNRE & IREDA guidelines for ease in maintenance. (ii) The structure shall be designed to withstand operating environmental conditions for a period of minimum 25 years. (iii) Any damage done to water proofing/ Roof structure during installation shall be made good by the contractor at no extra cost. Water Leak Protection has to be ensured with Pure Epoxy Resin based chemical anchoring system, wherever damage to structure occurs. (iv) MMS steel shall be as per latest IS 2062: 2011 and galvanization of mounting structure shall be in compliance of IS 4759. (v) The PV array structure design shall be appropriate with a factor of safety 1.5 min or higher factor of safety. (vi)Two numbers of anti-theft fasteners of Stainless Steel on two diagonally opposite corners of each module shall be provided. | 1.01power of installed Solar PV module/ array in to AC power output for planned building mentioned under Para(1), for further feeding to grid ,if required, confirming to IEC:61683/ IS 61683, IS 16221 (Part 2), IS 16169 and IEC 60068-2 (1,2,14 & 30)/IEC : 62093 (as applicable)/ equivalent BIS standard for efficiency, for safety and for reliability. The PCU/ inverter shall have an overloading capacity of minimum 10%.The output power factor of the inverter should be suitable for all voltage ranges or sink of reactive power, the inverter should have internal protection arrangement against any sustain fault in the feeder line and against the lightning on the feeder Monolithic design of inverter is not permitted. Make:- HAVELLS/SUNGROW/ GROWATT/ POLYCAB or equivalent make same as the make of PV Panels as approved by GE. Inverter shall have protection arrangement against ground leakage faults, over voltage, (SPD) & over current. Inverter shall have arrangement for adjustment for adjusting DC input current and shall trip against sustainable fault down stream and shall not restart till fault is rectified. B. MODULE MOUNTING STRUCTURE (MMS) at Hanger No.2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & Hanger No.8 Annexe AFS Chakeri, Kanpur
Design, supply/ procure, fixing, module mounting & support structure made of Hot rolled galvanized steel Grade : S390GD(EN 10346)) with min 80 micron thickness zinc coating/galvanization as per relevant IS code .The structure shall be mounting directly on sheet metal roof or penetrating the sheet metal and fixing to the sub structure. The structure shall be non-corrosive and tilted at an angle suitable to obtain peak output power at site from the available solar radiation. The frames consists of channels, purlin, plates, columns etc. including leg assemblies of array structure. Necessary RCC foundation (if applicable) and associated iron work cutting, drilling, welding, jointing, grouting, PCC/ RCC filling, disposing waste material, etc., complete and fixing mounting arrangement suitable for SPV modules so as it can withstand wind speed of 150 km per hour or as per IS-875 Part-3 (2015). The mounting structure is to be installed at sheet metal roof (as existing at site) and the array structure has to be so designed that maximum load is directly on roof structure to avoid any affect on life & strength of structure.It shall also occupy minimum space without sacrificing the output of SPV panels & adequate space between the arrays shall be available for easy cleaning and maintenance. Nuts, bolts, mounting structure including module mounting structure shall have to be adequately protected from the atmosphere and weather prevailing in the area. All the fasteners, nut, bolts shall be of Stainless Steel of grade SS 304 or hot dip galvanized and panel mounting clamps shall be of aluminium and must sustain the adverse climatic conditions. The minimum clearance of the lowest point of the structure from the tin shade should be more than 100mm.The module mounting structure shall be securely anchored to the roof structure. The base of the structure should be connected on the Purlin of the tin shed with the proper | - | - | - | - |
| - | riveting. All structure members should be of minimum 2 mm thickness. The contractor quoted rates shall be deemed to inclusive of all civil works for mounting structure and its foundation including roof treatment after grouting and civil works to prevent seepage and damage to roof structure. Contractor to submit structural design and drawings duly vetted by professor of IIT/NIT or by govt institute authorized by MNRE or NISE. Structural material shall be corrosion resistant and electrolytically compatible with the materials used in the module frame, its fasteners, nuts, and bolts .Adequate spacing shall be provided between two panel frames and rows of panels to facilitate personnel protection, ease of installation, replacement, cleaning of panels and electrical maintenance.
Note:
(i)The contractor shall submit structural design on Stad-Pro based or equivalent software on wind load 150 Kmph, live load and dead load of structure with solar panel & seismic zone, wind speed zone of Chakeri, Kanpur( UP). Any deflection to the mounting structure shall be as per IS 800:2007. Structural design of the mounting structure should be carried out by a consultant/ company approved by the GE. The height of Roof top MMS shall be as per latest MNRE & IREDA guidelines for ease in maintenance.
(ii) The structure shall be designed to withstand operating environmental conditions for a period of
minimum 25 years.
(iii) Any damage done to water proofing/ Roof structure during installation shall be made good by the contractor at no extra cost. Water Leak Protection has to be ensured with Pure Epoxy Resin based chemical anchoring system, wherever damage to structure occurs.
(iv) MMS steel shall be as per latest IS 2062: 2011 and galvanization of mounting structure shall be in compliance of IS 4759.
(v) The PV array structure design shall be appropriate with a factor of safety 1.5 min or higher factor of safety.
(vi)Two numbers of anti-theft fasteners of Stainless Steel on two diagonally opposite corners of each module shall be provided.
C.POWER CONDITIONING UNIT(PCU)/SOLAR GRID TIED STRING INVERTER at Hanger No.2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & Hanger No.8 Annexe AFS Chakeri, Kanpur
Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning 3 phase PCU/ string inverters of matching capacity with total SPV wattage of appropriate capacity as per site/ design approved of suitable capacity as given 1500KW AC (nominal power), suitable to convert DC | - | - | - | - |
| - | power of installed Solar PV module/ array in to AC power output for planned building mentioned under Para(1), for further feeding to grid ,if required, confirming to IEC:61683/ IS 61683, IS 16221 (Part 2), IS 16169 and IEC 60068-2 (1,2,14 & 30)/IEC : 62093 (as applicable)/ equivalent BIS standard for efficiency, for safety and for reliability. The inverters shall consist of data loggers for monitoring of solar power generation and solar meters of suitable specification to be installed for complete/ utilization of solar power generated on grid with in the desired location only.
The inverter should have MODBUS, PROFIBUS, ETHERNET common ports. PCU must have the feature to work in tandem with other similar PCUs and be able to be successively switched ON and OFF automatically based on solar radiation variations during the day. There should not be any clipping/ scalping losses due to incorrect DC/AC ratio cap selection of Inverter. The PCU/ inverter shall have an overloading capacity of minimum 10%.The output power factor of the inverter should be suitable for all voltage ranges or sink of reactive power, the inverter should have internal protection arrangement against any sustain fault in the feeder line and against the lightning on the feeder Monolithic design of inverter is not permitted.
Make:- HAVELLS/SUNGROW/ GROWATT/ POLYCAB or equivalent make same as the make of PV Panels as approved by GE.

(n) The inverter shall adjust voltage and frequency levels to suit the grid.
(o) The inverter shall be self-cumulated with Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology and shall be capable of synchronize maximum within one minute or less time.
(p) Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) shall be integrated in the inverter/ PCU to maximize energy drawn from the array. Charge controller (if any)/ MPPT units environmental testing should qualify IEC 60068-2 (1,2,14,30)/ Equivalent BIS standard.
(q) The inverter shall have suitable Nos of protected inputs (as per design) and outgoing shall be protected by ACB/MCCB.
(r ) All inverters/PCUs shall be IEC 61000 compliant for electromagnetic compatibility, harmonics, Surge, etc.
(s) The inverter shall include appropriate self protection and self diagnostic feature to protect itself and the PV array from the damage in the event of inverter component failure or any deviation of parameters beyond the inverters safe operating range due to internal and/ or external causes. Inverter shall have protection arrangement against ground leakage faults, over voltage, (SPD) & over current. Inverter shall have arrangement for adjustment for adjusting DC input current and shall trip against sustainable fault down stream and shall not restart till fault is rectified.

Additionally, parameters like load power (consumption), and system status (e.g., "run" or fault codes) etc. Web based or app based system to display these parameter with cyber security encryption for remote monitoring of theses parameter to be be provided by OEM.

D. DC DISTRIBUTION / ARRAY JUNCTION BOXES at Hanger No.2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & Hanger No.8 Annexe AFS Chakeri, Kanpur
Supply and Fixing DC junction boxes of suitable capacity, rating & Nos (as per design approved)/ OEM recommendations having suitably rated inputs and output terminals having separate DC fuses for both (+) & (-) on input and isolator on output terminal for each string. Each junction box must have a spare input terminal. The junction boxes shall be dust and vermin proof and water proof made of FRP/ Thermo Plastic with IP 65 protection or better standard in compliance with IEC 62208 and shall be UV resistant, fire retardant. It shall have surge protection and suitable arrangement for earthing connections as per relevant standard. Make:MNRE/GOI approved.
(e)The incomming and outgoing cables from box, panel shall be properly sealed through proper glands.
(f) Each array junction box shall have suitable bypass & reverse blocking diodes for maximum DC blocking voltage of 1000V or system voltage as approved designed with suitable arrangement of its connection. Reverse blocking and bypass diodes shall work for extreme temperatures and shall have efficiency of 99.98% confirmed by appropriate IEC standard.
E. AC DB PANEL at Hanger No. 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & Hanger No.8 Annexe AFS Chakeri, Kanpur - 08 Nos”.
AC Disconnect switch (MCCBs) shall be of matching capacity as per inverter rating.
Make:- Schneider/Siemens/ABB/L&T/Havells or equivalent as approved by GE for each location. ACDB Panel of suitable rating (Inverter AC capacity) shall be provided for interconnection of Solar Power Plant with proposed LT Panels near existing transformer and further connected to grid. Each ACDB shall be made of CRCA sheet of appropriate 2 mm thick duly Powder Coated as per colour approved by the GE. It shall be dust, water & vermin proof arrangement with IP 56 protection . | - | - | - | - |
