Supply and running of grass mechanically operated tractor minimum 40 HP capacity alongwith including fuel / lubricants,operator,T &P for cutting of grass 50mm to 100mm or above and mechanically operated Slasher wherever required including removing of materials that obtained from cutting of grass to out side of MOD land and cleaning in both side with Grass cutting is to be done upto 100 metre from the edge of runway, taxi track and parking area using blade size 5-6 feet high corbon rotary type complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- (i) Contractor will arrange his own mechanical slasher (set of one tractor & jungle jeem) with POL & MT driver . The mechanical slasher will be in operation between 8:00 AM to 5:00PM as per time decided by Garrison Engineer . Total running hours (excluding lunch break & other break) shall be recorded in logbook. (ii) A log book/sheet shall be maintained by JE(Civil) and the same shall be signed by Engineer-in-Charge & contractor daily for the purpose of calculating daily working hours which shall be actual mode of payment. (iii) Mechanical Tractor deployed shall not be more than 5 years old from the date of manufacturing. Contractor to provide the registration documents to Engr-in-Charge on this account. (iv) Actual working hours shall be calculated based on actual running of machinary as directed by Garrison Engineer and excluding of transit hours. (v) As per site requirement, contractor shall arrange more than one tractor with operator alongwith mechanical slasher. Seperate log book/sheet shall be maintained for each tractor. (vi) The rate quoted by contractor is including of all T & P , POL and operator mentioned above.
Supply and running of earth moving plant/Backhoe loader with minimum loaded capacity of one cubic metre of loaded bucket for excavation and levelling of soil alongwith one skilled driver and one semi skilled helper, including fuel / lubricants etc complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: - (i) A log book shall be maintained by JE(Civil) and the same shall be signed by Engineer-in-Charge & contractor daily for the purpose of calculating daily working hours which shall be actual mode of payment. (ii) Earth moving plant/Backhoe loader deployed shall not be more than 5 years old from the date of manufacturing. Contractor to provide the registration documents to Engr-in-Charge on this account. Material and Labour for weather resistance retro-reflective high intensity prismatic sheet / tape conforming to ASTM D-4956-01 type XI, of any colour / tint as per direction of Garrison Engineer/Engineer-in-Charge for writing alphabet letter, number and arrows on DTGM boards as computer plotter 64 mm or as directed stroke width complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Area shall be calculated from stroke length and width of numerals / alphabets.
Material and labour for cleaning drain any shape and any size of runway and removing sludge, soil, mud, grass and vegetation roots from drain and removing of materials obtained from cleaning ie. sludge, mud, soil etc to out side of MOD land complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- To determine the depth of sludge levels initially and after cleaning of drain shall be taken and recorded in MB duly signed by Garrison Engineer, Engineer - in Charge and contractor.
Material and labour for cutting of grass, shurbs, vegetation, bush, weed by bush cutter operated slasher where ever required including cleaning the both sides / edges of runway / PTT removing of materials obtained from cutting to out side of MOD land complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note: - (i) The contractor shall arrange three numbers of bush cutter machine alongwith two operator and two helper (one operator and one helper for each machine) including POl etc from 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs (including half an hour lunch break). (ii) The output of bush cutter machine shall be 1000 square metre per day per machine including cleaning / removing of materials obtained from cutting to out side of MOD land. (iii) Site/area of grass cutting shall be handed over as and when on requirement basis. Contractor shall start the work immediatly whenever site is handed over to him. (iv) A log book shall be maintained by JE(Civil) and the same shall be signed by Engineer-in-Charge and contractor daily for the purpose of calculating daily working hours which shall be actual mode of payment.
Material and labour 100mm thick plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-2, (Using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) laid in alternate bays as floor, finished concrete surface with spike rolling or making impression of expanded metal whilst the concrete is green including necessary form work complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
Material and labour providing plain cement concrete 1:4:8 type D-2, (Using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) in foundation filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced PQC graded ) as in floor and paving not exceeding 150mm thickness below or above ground floor with concrete breaker / manually as required at site and removing rubbish out site of MOD land complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
M&L for preparing of lod black top surfaces by brooming with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with use of air blowers to remove all loose dirt etc. complete and applying cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) by spraying with machine of total cold liquid PME @ 0.89 litre per Sqm (undiluetly) in two coats with mineral filler as recomended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME:Water) and ensure uniform finish of PME on runway complete all as per manufacturer instruction complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note A: - The tenderer shall take following points into consideration and are deemed to be included in quoted rate:- (i) Due care shall be taken for friction parametres during application of PME as per ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standard. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicator of PME manufacturers. (iii) Care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks upto 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer's instruction. (iv) A performance guarrantee certificate for two years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified. (v) Application of PME shall be done by flooding and wiping in both first coat and second coat with the help of wiper or as directed by the manufacturer. (vi) Skid registance test (Dry and Wet Condition) in every 5000 Sqm area of runway shall be carried out before and after PME (vii) PME required more/less than 0.89 litre/Sqm (undiluted) during execution of work as per direction of Engineer in Charge shall be measured and paid as supply only rate .
Repair to cracks of PQC 1. Surface preparation-Cleaning the cracks that have been contaminated to the extent it is possible and practical. The crack should be cleaned and all the loose concrete if any, of plaster which sounds hollow when tapped shall be removed. Contaminants such as oil, grease, dirt or fine particles of concrete pavement, epoxy / bonding materail which may reduce the effectiveness of the repair shall be removed as per the manufacturer recommendation. Ensure the crack areas should not have any vissible dampness and must have surface moisture <4%. 2. Fixinf of Grouting Nozzle-All the cracks must be open wide and drill the holes of 6-10mm dia with atleast 50-75mm into the concrete. The nozzles shall be placed at 500mm c/c using Bostik ERM, an epoxy repair mortar system having Compressive Strength of 95 MPa as per ASTM C109, Tensile Strength 15 MPa as per ASTM C307 and flexural Strength of 30 Mpa as per ASTM C078. Ensure that the adhesive shall not block the drilled holes. 3. Injection Grouting using Low Viscous Epoxy Resin grout system-Mix the two component, low viscous, non pigmented liquid epoxy resin system Bostik LVEP having final compressive strength of 70 MPa and curing time of 7 days. The epoxy resin system must be low viscous with high cpaollary action, non shrink and deep penetration with hard and abrasion resistant and shall be able to withstand loads and stress. Injection of the epoxy grout shall be done from the farthest point point towards the center keeping regular eyes for the next hole to avoid any wastage of material. Once the grouting is done and injected, eoxy is cured, cut the nozzle and seal the holes with the Bostic ERM system.
Repair to potholes any depth, exceeding 30 mm deep and area not exceeding 1.00 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surface in roads, paths etc. cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm putting in premixed bituminous macdam well ramming and sealed with binder 9.80 Kg per 10 Sqm blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone hippings of 6.30mm size and again well rammed (including supply of macadam binder and chippings) complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.
Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surface in area exceeding 400 Sqm, not exceeding 50mm deep complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for preparing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a primimg / tack coat with using paving bitumen VG30 @ 10 kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for bituminous premix semi-dense asphaltic concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5 % binder content by weight of total mix, using paving bitumen, any penetration, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for painting lines, dashes, arrows, letter, etc. on roads, pavementsand the like exceeding 10cm wide with raod marking paint, white or golden yellow with adequate number of coats complete all as specified and directed.
