REPAIR TO ROAD OF UNIT AND MD ACCN OF AGE B R I AND II UNDER GE (WEST) FEROZEPUR CANTT

Scarifying or picking existing gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surface, area not exceeding 400 Sqm and depth exceeding 50mm and not exceeding 100mm (average 75mm) and segregating serviceable stone metal for re-using and removal of debris from site to a distance upto 50 metres spread & leveled complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for repairs to potholes of depth exceding 30mm and area not exc 1Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, but making good by applying tack coat @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sqm, blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 75mm thick (compacted thickness) of WBM using Granite, Trap or Basalt stone coarse aggregate of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) blinded with stone screening type ‘A’, spread, rolled with 8 to 12 tonnes power road roller & consolidated to required camber & gradient complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for premix bituminous macadam (Consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using paving bitumen (VG-30) 4% by weight of total mix using Job Mix Formula (Design Mix), spread, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) In case the binder contents by weight of total mix is less than 4% as per actual design mix, the price adjustment shall be made as per average rates of all paid voucher for bitumen pertaining to this work. If the total binder contents as per design mix is more than 4%, no price adjustment shall be made for the same. (ii) Job mix formula for Semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be obtained from the Govt Lab or Govt Engg College prior to commencement of work and shall be got approved from the GE. etc complete all as specified and as directed. (iii) Field tests (Bitumen Extraction Test,Core Cutting Test for density & compaction, Temprature control) shall be conducted by GE during execution and records to be maintained.

M&L for preparing unsurfaced WBM top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. Sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with Air Compressor to remove all loose dirt etc, applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 10 Kg per 10 Sqm using VG-10 bitumen of road surface by sprayer operated by hot pressure mechanism, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. Sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with Air Compressor to remove all loose dirt etc, applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 Kg per 10 Sqm using VG-10 bitumen of road surface by sprayer operated by hot pressure mechanism, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 30mm consolidated thickness Bituminous Premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) using paving bitumen VG-30 with 5.5 % binder by weight of total mix using Job Mix Formula (Design Mix) rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) In case the binder contents by weight of total mix is less than 5.5% as per actual design mix, the price adjustment shall be made as per average rates of all paid voucher for bitumen pertaining to this work. M&L for Moorum / red bajri/ Coarse sand filling in floors or pavings, road berms etc, laid in layers n exc. 15cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed including dressings & watering complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition/digging out of bricks/PCC blocks(kerb stone) (laid flat or on edge) in kerbs,aprons and road side stone/edging etc complete all as specified and directed.
