M&L Preparation of new or previously untreated steel surfaces of any description, over 10 cm width or girth, not otherwise described and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint (ordinary tint) over one coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed.

Note for item No 5 & 6 :- (a) All synthetic enamel paint shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.

(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.

(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint, will be approved by the GE.

(d) Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)

(e ) Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE

(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.

(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.

(h) No hair marks from the brush or clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.

M&L Pre painted Coloured Mangalore Tiles profile Galvalume sheet 0.40 mm thick having Zinc aluminium alloy coating AZ150 shall be as per IS:277/ASTM 1379 150 gsm/ sqm double ribbed any colour having tensile strength of 550 Mpa as in Roof covering with crimping / cladding to wall fixed with self tapping screws complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F Pre painted Coloured corrugated Galvalume roofing system sheet 0.50 mm thick having Zinc aluminum alloy coating AZ150 shall be as per IS:277/ASTM 1379 150 gsm/ sqm double ribbed trapezoidal profile steel sheet any colour having tensile strength of 550 Mpa as in Roof covering /cladding to wall fixed with self tapping screws complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Pre-painted galvalume aluminum zinc coating GI based Plain steel sheet 0.50mm thick of any colour having tensile strength of 550 Mpa as in roof covering/ cladding to wall, fixed with self tapping screws complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for Item No 15 to 17 (Pre-painted coloured Galvalume roofing) :-

(i) The manufacturer's test certificate and individual test certificate for the chemical and mechanical properties of sheet must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.

(ii) The contractor shall ensure that no leakages take place from the roof. The roofing shall be Coloured Galvalume roofing system (olive green colour or as approved by GE) with feed material manufactured from 0.50 mm Total coated thickness (TCT), minimum 550 MPa yield strength and shall conform to the physical specifications of IS: 2062 of 2011, coated with hot dip metallic Aluminium / Zinc alloy coating AZ150 as 150 gm/sq.mt total on both sides.

(iii) The painting shall be coloured baked enamel polyester with silicon coating of film thickness 25 microns nominal on the exposed face/exterior side and on the reverse side ( interior face) shall be white with 15 microns film thickness, over a coat of 5 micron nominal thickness Primer.

M&L Mild steel screw bolts (machine made) with hexagonal or square heads at one end and screwed the other, or screwed both ends, each screwed end to be fitted with washers and one hexagonal or square nut, length of bolt exc 30cm long and diameter of neck in n exc 12 mm complete all as specified and directed.

S & F Stainless steel (Gde 201) wire rope 4mm dia to existing frame/ brackets for drying & hanging clothes in indoor and outdoor complete all as specified and directed.

Excavating in post holes (or similar holes) each n exc 0.5 cu. m, in hard / dense soil getting out, returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Plain Cement Concrete 1:4:8 type D2 (using 40 mm graded granite stone aggregate) as in foundations, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Plain Cement Concrete 1:3:6 type C2 (using 40 mm graded granite stone aggregate) as in foundations, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for False ceiling using GI snap grid size 60x60cm with main runner 38x24,wall angle & cross tee 29x24mm wall angle 24x24mm suspended with 4mm dia GI Wire fixed with steel dash fasteners carrying max load upto 8.1 Kg/Sqcm with 4mm thick designer ceiling board (Lake & Hill) all as per Everest regular T-2430 or equivalent, complete all as directed. (Make Ramco/Charminar/Armstrong).

Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out in hard/ dense soil complete all as specified and as directed

Note for Item No 28:- The quoted rate deemed to be inclusive for the following:-

(a) Excavating either straight or curved on plan

(b) Clearing away all grass vegetation, saplings, shrubs, brushwood, undergrowth, roots, and trees not exceeding 30 cm girth (measured one metre above ground level) and removing rubbish upto a distance of 50 metres outside the periphery of the area under clearance except in the case of surface dressing which includes for all the foregoing except clearing away of trees

(c) Bailing out, pumping out or otherwise removing all water which may accumulate in the excavations

(d) Setting out the work profiles, etc. as well as for all tools and plant

(e) All materials and labour required for protecting against risk of accidents, etc.

(f) Watching and lighting, whenever necessary.

(g) Forming (or leaving) ‘Dead men’ or ‘Tell tales’ in borrow pits and their removal after record of measurements where required

(h) Forming (or leaving) steps in sides of deep excavations and their removal or covering up, after record of measurements

(j) Excavation for insertion of planking and strutting where necessary

(k) Removing slips or falls in excavations

(l) Authorised battering or benching of excavations

(m) Slinging or supporting pipes, electric cables, etc. met with during excavation

M&L Brickwork with fly ash bricks using old size bricks, straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius built in CM 1:6, complete all as specified and as directed

Note for Item No 42 :- (a) Fly ash bricks shall be burnt clay flyash building bricks as per IS- 13757.

(b) The rates for work curved or polygonal on plan include for all extra cutting and extra waste in the body of the work. It shall be measured as mean length of wall.

(c) Sinking of steining shall be measured separately under relevent item. Well curbs, tie-rods, etc. shall be measured under the appropriate item.

(d) bricks shall be of class designation 75 (Kgf/cm).

(e) The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for all scaffolding, ladders, plant and templates required

(f) Exposed faces of brick work shall be fair.

(g) Exposed faces shall be facing with best bricks

(h) The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for Plumbing to angles

(j) Forming reveals to jambs where fair cutting on exposed faces shall not be involved

(k) The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for preparing tops and sides of existing walls and the like for raising and extending

(l) Building in vertical seismic reinforcement at the jambs of openings, corners of walls, etc.shall be grouting in cement mortar 1:4

M&L Rendering 15 mm thick on brick or stone or concrete surfaces, in cement mortar 1:4 finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

Note for Item No 54 :- The quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive for the following:- (a) Preparing the surfaces.

(b) Thickness of plaster key in joints, etc

(c) Scoring surface of plastering for key, where the surface is not required to be finished fai

(d) Curing of plastered surface.

M&L applying two coats of cement based paint over a coat of primer including preparation of new plastered wall surfaces of any description, complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for Item No 59:- (i)Before applying cement based paint ,the surface shall be thouroughly wetted to control surface suction. The surface shall be moist but not dripping wet when the paint applied .Surfaces which readily absorb moisture shall be wetted in one operation not more than one hour before painting.Surfaces which absorb moisture slowly shall be wtted in at least two operations not less than 30 minutes apart.

(ii)To maintain a uniform mixture and to prevent segregation ,the paint shall be stirred frequently in the bucket.

(iii)Painting surfaces shall be cured as soon as paint has hardened so as not be to damaged by the spray about 12 hours after the applications.

(iv) Cost of scaffolding required deemed to be included in the quoted rate of item and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account.

(v)Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of any approved make as per list of makes specified.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm in soil all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated soils to a distance exceeding 1.5 KM but not exceeding 5KM and depositing where directed complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Glazed ceramic coloured tiles 450 x 300 mm x 7 mm thick set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match with tiles on vertical surface such as dado, laid over and including backing coat with cement mortar 10 mm thick in CM 1:3 complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Bib Cock with wall flange screwed down screwed for iron pipe in repairs 15mm bore complete all as specified and as directed. Make as per CAT Part No CQT -23047 of Jaquar or equivalent to /Parryware/Hindware/Cera

(B) BATTERY BANK WITH CHARGER FOR AUXILLARY SUPPLY - 01 SET. Battery bank 24 volt consisting of 02 Nos 100 AH, 12 volts cells, maint free lead acid alongwith Racks & connections with suitable rating copper bus bar covered with PVC sheet and suitabale rating of float cum boost battery charger of rating 230 volt AC i/p, protection for i/p & o/p. 2 core, 10 sqmm, copper conductor un-armured cable (25 RM Approx) with crocodile clamps/lugs on ends from LT Panel to charger for 230 volts AC Supply and battery charger to VCB panel. Note for item No 88 :- Cost for suitable base platform/foundation as per OEM recommendations is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rate.

Material and labour, earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode of size 600mm x 600x 3.15 mm thick burried directly in ground vertically (depth of pit not less than 2.25 m below normal ground level),with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5m below normal ground level, eart plate surrounded from all sides by 15cm thick packed alternate layers of charcoal dust and common salt, magnesium sulphate (1 : 1 : .5), electrode connections using copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm thick (upto body of equipment) by means of brazing / welding conencted to main switch board or main control board or test point, protected by galvanised iron pipe light grade 40mm dia bore nd watering pipe 20mm dia bore GI medium grade with funnel and wire mesh including all neesary(excavation & earth work, PCC chamber in PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 & RCC cover, all as shown in elctrical plate No 3 of MES schedule Part-I (2009), testing on completion, complete all as specified and directed.

Notes for Item No 114:- (i) RCC pit cover shall be pre-cast of RCC (1:2:4) type B-1, 80 mm thick reinforced with XPM not less than 4Kg/ Sqm.

(ii) PCC pit cover shall be constructed 500mm away from the edge of eath pit.

(iii) Rate shall include Copper strip and protection pipe of length 7.5m, excess beyond 7.5m lenth required at site shall be measured and paid separately.

(iv) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned.

(v) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(vi) Earth resistance should be less than 3 Ohm, In case the test results are not found below 3 Ohm, complete earthing will redone without any extra cost to Govt.

S&F Copper strip 20 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc all as directed. Note : All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing.

Supply, of factory made LT cubical panel indoor type made up of 3.15 mm thick CRCA sheet weather, dust & vermin proof, double door, front & back opening detachable type complete made up of suitable angle iron frame with locking arrangement duly mounted on angle iron frame of suitable size grouted on PCC plinth, painted with two coats of powder coating over a coat of red oxide primer conforming to IS 8623, IP 54 protection including necessary glands etc at the bottom sheet cover and consisting of the following items:-
