Surface excavation not exceeding 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and directed.

Forming embankments including raising (or lowering) using approved earth(as approved by GE) to be arranged from sources outside defence land including all cost such as royalty if any, transportation, taxes, etc. for area filling / area development upto MGL level including spreading in layers not exceeding 30cm thick each layer, watering, compaction with 8 tonne to 12 tonne power roller and finished to required size and shape etc. Notes: (i) Earth required for the item, shall be supplied by contractor, from out side MOD land of any lead, at his own own arrangement. (ii) All cost of procurement of earth including cost of transportation, compaction, royalties, tax etc shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) With reference to clause 3.6 of MES part-II on serial page No-21 it is clarified that measurement of the above item shall be of finished embankment of filled earth after consolidation /compaction and 5% deduction shall be made from measured and calculated volume to allow for increase in bulk. (iv) Total quantity /partial quantity of earth may not be available in Tezu Area. The contractor has to bring the earth from out side area and it is advised to quote the rate considering availability of soil and its lead involved.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting with power roller exceeding 8 tonne and not exceeding 12 tonne including filling depression which occurs during rolling complete all specified and directed

Material and Labour for Laying and compacting 150 mm thick (compacted thickness) Granular Sub Base Course (GSB) grading as per Grade I as specified Table 400-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013, in a single layer over compacted subgrade with natural sand, crushed gravel, crushed stone, crushed slag or combination thereof as per the grading required The materials are mechanically mixed, spread and leveled on the subgrade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight for achieving required compaction density of atleast 98% of the Maximum Dry Density. Consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013.

Material and Labour for Laying and compacting 150 mm thick (compacted thickness) WMM laid in two layers of 75mm each Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) grading as per table 400-13 of MORTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant material comprising of clean, crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. The finished surface tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MORTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013

Material & Labour for preparation of unsurfaced Water Bound Macadam/Wet mix macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming & tack coat with bituminous primer using bitumen emulsion (SS1 as per IS 8887) at 7.5kg/10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour for Premix bituminous, macadam average consolidated thickness not exceeding 50 mm using graded crushed stone aggregate, grading 2 with aggregate size 19 mm, mixed with paving bitumen of VG -30 grade @ 4% by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed Note: If actual design mix comes less than 4% binder content, then the recovery of bitumen shall be adjusted against contractor's dues @ Rs. 60/Kg of bitumen. However, no adjustment shall be made if the binder content is more than 4%. Necessary rates of this item in this regard shall be quoted by contractor accordingly

Material & Labour for Preparation of existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen of RS1 as per IS 8887 at 3kg/10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour for bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete using hot mix plant and self propelled mechanical paver finisher, 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content using paving bitumen of VG-30 grade by weight of mix, rolled and compacted with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed. Note: If actual design mix comes less than 5.5% binder content, then the recovery of bitumen shall be adjusted against contractor's dues @ Rs. 60/Kg of bitumen. However, no adjustment shall be made if the binder content is more than 5.5%. Necessary rates of this item in this regard shall be quoted by contractor accordingly

Material & Labour for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like not exceeding 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with striplens reflector of Make dark eye model No. DA 972 or equivalent in list of makes fixed with and including MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix solar cat eye aluminum alloy shall (100% water proofing design according to 65) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono crystalline solar panel 2.4V/0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd completed as per manufactures instructions etc. all as specified and directed.

Supply and installation of rubberized speed breakers curve type made by natural rubber of size 500 x 350 x 50mm installed alternately in black and yellow colour, installation done by anchor fastener and adhesive or as per manufacturers instructions.

Material & Labour for Continuous brick edging with burnt clay brick of old size sub class 'B' brick; positioning with width equal to the width of the brick; laid dry on end vertically complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 sqm and exceeding 50mm and not exceeding 100mm in depth scarifying including raking over and grading the broken-up surfaces to the proper camber etc. as required and removing the debris materials from site complete all as specified and directed.

Repair to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 sq m in area each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well rammed (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for Hard core of gauge exceeding 63 mm and not exceeding 100 mm of broken stone or boulders, deposited, spread and levelled in layers not exceeding 15 cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for 100 mm thick plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in sub-base, hardstanding, etc. including form work if required complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for Providing and laying 80mm thick factory made chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-30 grade with approved colour, design & pattern as in footpath, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc., of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 50mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with fine sand and cutting of paver block as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand; complete. all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand), including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5 mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour for Plain Cement concrete type C2, 1:3:6 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate in foundation filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour for Plain Cement Concrete 1:2:4 (Type B-1) using 20 mm graded stone aggregate in coping, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs, water trough and the like including weathering slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating and necessary formwork complete as directed.

Supply & Laying 300 mm bore Reinforced concrete pipes, class NP3, laid and jointed complete with collars complete all as specified and as directed.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.50 m wide and not exceeding 1.50 m in depth for foundations or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes etc. not exceeding 10 Sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.50 m in depth and getting out in any type of soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material (soil) exceeding 50 m but not exceeding 100m and depositing where directed complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour for Plain Cement Concrete 1:2:4 Type B2 using 40 mm gaded stone aggregate as in surface channels & drain complete all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour Brickwork with subclass ‘B’ precast cement bricks, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6m mean radius, built in Cement Mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for Rendering 15 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces in two layers, finished even and smooth without using extra cement, mixed with water proofing compound (WPC) as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Quoted rate of this item is inclusive of WPC cost.

Material and Labour for Plain Cement Concrete 1:2:4 Type B-0 (using 12.5 mm graded stone aggregate) as in coping, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs, water trough and the like including weathering slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating and necessary formwork and surface shall be finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete as directed.

Material and Labour for Extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 30 cm inner girth in cement concrete, using extra cement, including forms, moulds, mitred/stopped ends etc. complete all as specified and directed.

Add or deduct for each 25 mm girth or part thereof over or under 30 cm inner girth in cement concrete. (Note: For adjustment only).
