SUB-HEAD 3-- LT PANEL AND EARTHING INSTALLATIONS
Sub Station Emergency LT Panel
Supply and installation of L.T. cubical type fully compartmentalized distribution panel board, having rigid and self supporting structure fabricated with 14 SWG CRCA sheet with M.S. angle iron frame (main frame with 50 x 50 x 6 mm angle and each vertical compartment with 40 x 40x6 mm MS angle iron). The base of panel should be made with 75mm x 40mm x 5 mm M.S. channel. [Manufacturer/Fabricator having Test Certificates from CPRI]. An Auto Cad Drawing of the panel has to approved by EIC before making of panel. [NS]
Construction Details :
All incoming & outgoing switches are to be housed in respective compartments hinged and gasket doors at the front. All doors should have panel locking arrangement in such a fashion that it can not be on unless the feeder remains in off position. The rear panel should gasketed wire net guard for ventilation arrangement will be made of easy accessibility to each compartment by providing rear panel doors with locking system . The panel is to be properly gasketed to prevent the dust & vermin. All vertical bus bar chambers is to properly arrange and all electrical equipments are to be fixed by nuts and bolts on suitable Hylam board / porcelain insulators of adequate size and dimension. The outgoing feeder connection from respective switches are to be made at rear side of panel by means of busbar, copper multi core cables, to be terminated on bolted type terminals for cable connection or on bush insulators for bus bar connection. Each compartment will be providing with DMC/FRP board at back side.
All the ACBs should conform to IS 13947 - 2 - 1993 as amended upto date and should have minimum following protection i) adjustable overload with time delay, ii) adjustable short circuit with time delay, iii) Instantaneous current, iv) adjustable Earth fault with time delay, v) adjustable neutral protection - (min. 50%, 100%) (vi) Inbuilt ZSI feature. All the ACBs should be modular type , also have 12kV Impulse withstand capacity, breaking /tripping time shall be <30 mS
All the ACBs should have inbuilt capability of - a) measurement of current, Voltage, unbalance, Power, Energy, MD with date & time stamp, Power Factor etc., Nature of Fault, TRIP History (minimum 10) etc. b) the release should have LED/LCD inbuilt display for metering data display. The ACB should have U/V Release and at least spare 4NO + 4NC auxiliary contact. There should be LED indicating lamp for showing R, Y, B, ON, OFF, TRIP & Spring charge indication on the panel door. ACB shall have single frame size till the highest rating in the panel so that any size of breaker can be replaced to any compartment in case of urgency. ACBs should not be derated up to 50 deg C. Minimum electrical life of the ACBs shall be 8000 operations and min mechanical life of the breakers shall be 10000 operations without maintenance.
Incoming Arrangement :
a) 415 V, 1250 A, 50 kA 4(four) pole machanical draw- out type A.C.B. with MDO Microprocessor-based protection release and with castle locking arrangement. (Make: L&T/Legrand/Schenider/ABB / Siemens) -----1 no.

Bus bar section :
415 V, 1600 Amp capacity 99.9% – 99.5% electrolytic tinned 4 bar Copper bus bar mounted on non-hygroscopic porcelain insulator / hylam sheet having sufficient dielectric strength duly wrapped with colour PVC tapes (Red, yellow, blue & black) for phases & neutral identification - 1 set.
The busbar is to be rigidly supported on suitable non-hygroscopic insulating materials of robust ration to with stand electromechanical stress in the event of earth fault. All connection to bus to made by suitable nuts & bolts. The busbar is too wrapped with coloured PVC (Red. Yellow, Blue & Black) for colour identifications.
Outgoing Arrangement :
a) 415 V, 800 A, 50 kA 4(four) pole machanical draw- out type A.C.B. with MDO Microprocessor-based protection release and with castle locking arrangement. (Make: L&T/Legrand/Schenider/ABB / Siemens)-----1 No.
b) 415 V, 800 A, 50 kA Four Pole MCCB with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic / adjustable thermal and fixed magnetic setting in existing enclosure and necessary connection (open execution type) (Make: L&T/Legrand/Schenider/ABB / Siemens)- 2 Nos.
c) 415 V, 400 A, 50 kA Four Pole MCCB with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic / adjustable thermal and fixed magnetic setting in existing enclosure and necessary connection (open execution type) (Make: L&T/Legrand/Schenider/ABB / Siemens)- 1 No.
d) E.I. Danger Board of suitable size ------- 1 no.
Metering Panel
b) Indicating LED Lamp with colour glasses showing (Red/Yellow/Blue/Amber) [Make-Siemens / L&T/ABB/ SCHNEIDER] - 5 Sets.
c)500/5 Amp ratio C.T (Kappa or equivalent) --- 5 nos.
d)S & F 6 Amp SPMCB for auxiliary supply to meters (Make- SIEMENS/L&T/Legrand) - 5 nos.
Interconnection :-
All interconnection between incoming main to Busbar are to be made with suitable size electrolytic tinned copper bars or equivalent flexible pvc insulated multistranded single core Cu cable and the same between busbar to each outgoing mains and & for metering arrangements are to be made by suitable size of Aluminium Bar/cable with proper socketing of the end of each wire leads.
Earthing :-
A separate continuous G.I. earth busbar of appropriate size is to be painted at the inside bottom of the panel and run across the full load of the panel board. All electrical equipment are to be properly earthed with suitable size G.I. strip.
The complete panel board is to be spray painted after required surface treatment by 7 tanks process / sand blasting with 2 coat of red oxide primer & 2 coat of finished paint over dried or powder coating.
Installation :-
The complete panel board is to be installed on suitable brick padestal as directed by the E.I.C.
S&F 415 Volts, 800 A, on load front operated TPN changeover switch (open execution type CO5-800) Cat No. CO58000OOOO (Make: L&T or equivalent of Legrand/ Schenider /ABB / Siemens)
Earthing with 65 mm dia GI pipe (TATA-Medium)x 3.0 Mts.long and 1 No. 50 mm x 6 mm galvanized (Hot Dip) steel strip (4 Mts. long), 20 mm dia x 125 mm long galvanized bolt, double nuts, double washers including finishing both ends by making holes etc. and S & F 65 mm dia GI pipe (ISI-Medium) protection (3 Mts. long) to be filled with bitumen partly under the ground level and partly above ground level to an average depth of 3.65 Mts [ For DG Neutral & Body Earthing]
Extra for providing masonery enclosure on the top of the earth electrode of overall size 86.36 cm x 86.36 cm x 46 cm deep (below Ground level) complete with cemented brick work(1:6) of 25 cm width duly plastered with cement morter (inside) CI hinged inspection cover of size 36.56 cm x 35.56 cm with locking arrangement, GI reducer including drilling of 46 nos. 12 mm dia holes on the GI pipe.
Extra treatment of soil by using salt & charcoal for pipe electrode as to G.S.
Supply & fixing earth busbar of galvanized (Hot dip) MS flat 65 mm x 8 mm on wall having clearence of 6 mm from wall incl. providing drilled holes on the busbar complete with GI bolts, nuts, washers, spacing insulators etc. as required.
Connecting the equipments body to earth busbar incl. S & F 50 mm x 6 mm Galvanized (Hot Dip) MS flat on wall/floor with GI saddle as required and connection to equipments with incl. drilling holes, bolts, nuts,washers etc.
SUB-HEAD 4-- DG FOUNDATION & TRUSS
Earth work in excavation of foundation trenches or drains in all sorts of soil (including mixed soil but excluding laterite or sand stone) including removing, spreading or stacking the spoils within a lead of 75m. as directed. The item includes necessary trimming the sides of trenches, levelling, dressing and ramming the bottom, bailing out water as required complete. (a) Depth of excavation not exceeding 1,500 mm.
Earth work in filling in foundation trenches or plinth with good earth in layers not exceeding 150 mm. including watering and ramming etc.layer by layer complete .(payment to be made on the basis of measurement of finished quantity of work). (a) With earth obtained from excavation of foundation.
Cement concrete with 40 mm down graded shingles excluding shuttering. N.B. Variety (a) 1:3:6 proportion.
Brick work with 1st class bricks in cement mortar (1:6) in foundation and plinth
Hire and labour charges for shuttering with centering and necessary staging upto 4 m using approved stout props and thick hard wood planks of approved thickness with required bracing for concrete slabs, beams and columns, lintels curved or straight including fitting, fixing and striking out after completion of works . 25 mm to 30 mm shuttering without staging in foundation
Ordinary Cement concrete (mix 1:1.5:3) with graded stonechips (20 mm nominal size) excluding shuttering and reinforcement if any, in ground floor as per relevant IS codes. (Pakur Variety.)
Reinforcement for reinforced concrete work in all sorts of structures including distribution bars, stirrups, binders etc. initial straightening and removal of loose rust (if necessary), cutting to requisite length, hooking and bending to correct shape, placing in proper position and binding with 16 gauge black annealed wire at inter-section, complete as per drawing and direction. Single Brick Flat Soling of picked jhama bricks including ramming and dressing bed to proper level and filling joints with local sand. [PWD (WB) /BUILDING WORKS/Page-14/Item-1]
Plaster ( to wall, floor, ceiling etc.) with sand and cement mortar including rounding off or chamfering conrners as directed and raking out joints including throating, nosing and drip course, scaffolding/staging where necessary (ground floor). [Excluding cost of chipping over concrete surface].
Neat cement punning about 1.5mm thick in wall, dado, windowsill, floor etc. NOTE:Cement 0.152 cu.m per100 sq.m.
M.S. structural works with hollow sections ( square or rectangular shape) conforming to IS: 806-1957 & IS:1161-1958) connected to one another with bracket, gusset, cleat as per design, drawing & direction of Engineer-in-Charge complete including cutting to requisite shape & size, fabrication including metal arc welding conforming to IS: 816-1956 & IS: 9595 using electrodes of approved make and brand conforming to IS:814- 1957, haulage, hoisting and erection all complete. The rate includes the cost of all M.S. Hollow section, all consumables such as electrodes, gas and hire charges of all tools and plants and labour reqired for execution and all incidental chages (such as electricity, labour insurance) etc. complete. For roof truss works- Span up to 12 Mtr
Suppling, fitting and fixing single skin color coated trapezoidal profile for wall cladding, Roof shall be made of 0.45mm BMT (Base Metal Thickness) (0.50mm TCT(Total coated thickness excluding paint), G550 (min 550 yield strength), of Zincalume metallic coating (IS15965) with high Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) value for better colling as per thermatech technology, 1000-1015mm effective cover width with five major corrugation, 28mm high rib spaced at 203mm c/c with subtle square fluting in the pan and the end rib shall have anti-capillary groove and return leg.The steel sheet shall be fastened with 40 micron cine coated or 25 micron zine-tin alloy coated, hex head, self-drilling screw as per IS 3566-2002 Class 3 fastener. The base steel shall be conted with inc-aluminium alloy Zincalume (AZ150 )(.e. 55% Al, 43.4% Zine, 1.6% Si) minimum of 150 g/m2 coating total on both sides, pre-painted. with colorbond XRW (xterior roofing, walling paint system of 15 micron Super Durable Polyester paint (SDP) with stable inorganic pigment with no lead contents confirming IS15965. The sheet shall be free from defects and have brand marking of the manufacturer giving product details on the back of the sheet at regular interval confirming genuinits of the material. Priming one coat on steel or other metal surface with synthetic oil bound primer of approved quality including smoothening surfaces by sand papering etc. (Truss)
Painting with best quality synthetic enamel paint of approved make and brand including smoothening surface by sand parpering etc. in cluding using of approved putty etc. on the surface , if necessary. On timber or plastered surface: With super gloss (hi-gloss) : Two coats (with any shade except white).
On steel or other metal surface : Two coats (with any shade except white).
