Provision for carefully removal of old parapet walls including UCR stone & brick masonry with decayed loose lime plaster without damaging the ancient structures by using chisels, hammers and other necessary tools, stacking the debris up to a distance of 100 mtr. from work site for restoration of damaged Madras terrace roof and cleaning the site etc. complete as directed.

Provision for erection of tubular scaffolding in two rows to an average height of 12.00 mtr. including conveyance from the store and after dismantling, placing at store after the completion of work etc. complete as directed.

Providing and fixing Safety net of required size and shape knitted and of sufficient density used for tourist & labour safety on construction site and covering up the executed work with green net including fastening/tying with building/scaffolding pipes or with any other fixtures etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Sample of net to be approved before actual work

Provision for carefully removal of existing madras terrace roof including decayed loose lime concrete, old bricks, existing wooden rafters/beams & planks without damaging the ancient structures by using chisels, hammers and other necessary tools, stacking the salvage and debris up to a distance of 100 mtr. from work site for restoration of damaged madras terrace roof and cleaning the site etc. complete as directed.

Providing basalt stone block base for distributing pointed load on masonry (size 0.60 x 0.40 x 0.15 mtr) with 25mm deep groove of rafter width at both sides of rafter for preventing dislocation fixing of rafter in proper way etc. complete as directed.

Providing and fixing Indian country teakwood, rafters, joists & planks as per original pattern free from knots or any decay over the existing walls at bottom of roof etc. complete as directed.

Providing Madras roof terracing over the wooden planks using two course brick on edge and flat brick in lime mortar 1:1:1 with size of bricks 9 inch x 4 inch x 3 inch as directed. The bricks shall be selected well-burnt bricks of good colour and shape with rubbed joints, the bricks shall be thoroughly wetted before being laid, the brick on-edge to be laid very carefully, either in parallel rows breaking bonds, or in herring bone bond, the paving joints shall not be more than 10 mm. (3/8”) in thickness, the whole surface should be kept wetted for three weeks, and all vertical joints to be properly raked to anchor the flat brick layer laid across over it etc. complete as directed.

Provision for water tightening over the newly Madras roof terrace with the help of 20mm average size brick aggregate/brick jelly in lime (for 1.00 cum area, 0.45 cum lime i.e. 279 kg lime cover 1.00 cum area) by observing slope to drain out the rain water, levelling the surface and well beaten with wooden mallet till the surface gives rebound sound including curing etc. complete as directed.

Provision for providing plaster in lime surkhi mortar 1:1:1 of thickness 20mm over the newly laid lime concrete including mixing ingredients like Jaggery, methi, udid dal, glue & Jute etc. complete as directed.

Provision for providing lime putty over new lime plaster in lime & fine surkhi 1:0.5 (i.e. 1 part lime & 0.50 part of super fine surkhi) of thickness 02mm to 04mm over the newly laid lime concrete including mixing babool gum etc. complete as directed.
