Eligibility Criteria

Tenders from Joint ventures are not acceptable.

Bidders shall not be under a declaration of ineligibility for corrupt and fraudulent practices issued by Government of Karnataka

Bidders shall ensure upload of relevant document certifying his/her status as Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/other reserved category as prescribed in the tender document.

It shall be the responsibility of the Bidder to ensure credit of Tender Processing Fee and EMD into the respective receiving bank accounts of e-Procurement on or before the last date and time of bid submission.

EMD Payments through e-Payment mode shall be made as one single transaction and payments made in part are liable for rejection.

Contractors Should be registered with KPWD Class-4 and above Registration

All the formats prescribed in the bid document shall be filled by the tenderer in complete manner otherwise it will be rejected

The bidder is required to ensure browser compatibility of the computer well in advance to the last date and time for receipt of tenders. The departments shall not be responsible for non accessibility of KPP portal due to internet connectivity issues and technical glitches at bidders end

Bidder shall pay Contract Management Module processing fees of 0.025% of the contact value (Min Rs.500/- & Max Rs.7500/-) soon after contract has been issued to bidder

Conditional tenders will not be accepted

The cost of the Tender form shall not be refundable

The employer is not responsible for any delay in accessing KPP Portal

The tenderer shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission of his tender, and the employer will in no case be responsible and liable for those costs

All scanned documents to be uploaded shall be in original and the Executive Engineer reserves the right to verify the documents before approval

In the case of the death of the contractor after executing the agreement / commencement of the work, his/her legal heir, if is an eligible registered contractor and is willing can execute and compete the work at the accepted tender rates irrespective of the cost of the work

The intending contractors are requested to note that they should abide by the detailed instructions and conditions contained in the Standard Tender documents KW1

The successful Tenderer shall deliver to the Employer a Security deposit in any of the forms given Clause 24.1 of ITT for an amount equivalent to 5% of the Contract price plus additional security for unbalanced tenders in accordance with Clause 25.5 & 24.3 of ITT and Clause 44 of the Conditions of Contract.

Materials like steel, cement etc., required for the work shall be procured by the tenderer themselves and should got tested by the quality control authority before use on the work at their own cost.

The contractors assessed available tender capacity will be calculated as per the clause 3.6 of STD tender document Attached

All the items in the tender including all lead, lifts, loading unloading, transportation, labour, hire charges of machinery curing for concrete works, cost and conveyance of all material and all other such incidental charges necessary for successful completion of works as per the detailed technical specification and direction of Engineer in charge of this work

Contractor should take all precautionary measures to avoid any damage to the utilities during excavation as well as utility shifting. To that extent the contractor should indentify the client

Royalty on construction materials and other taxes will be deducted as per prevailing Govt orders

As per Karnataka state Government order LD/300/LET/2006 Bangalore dated 01.01.2007 and Government letter no PW/134/BMS/2007 dated 27.07.2007, a sum amounting to 1% of the bill amount will be deducted towards constructions labour welfare fund

The employer reserves the rights to Reject or accept any or all the tenders without assigning any reasons.

Contractor should follow strictly the privailing rules of labour act &The contractor should employ only registered labours as per Govt. Circular No. PWD/198/BMS/2009/ Dated: 24-06-2009

All item rates are inclusive of GST, Hence GST will not be paid seperately

The Defect liability Period is One year

As per the Government circular No.PW/995/IFA2023(E) Dated-24.05.2024 Road Maintain (Gang Man) is appointed by contractor for the maintenance of Road work The conditions for the maintainance of the road by Road Maintainer is as follows The road maintainer should do maintenance of road entrusted chainage for period of one year minimum of 30 km Road length

The payments and other allowances prepared as per the 2023-24 CSR for the road maintainer and same should be paid to the road maintainer by the contractor compulsorily irrespective of rates quoted in the tender.

The works Specified to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes category, the contractor should appoint Road maintainer belongs to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribes only.

The contractor shall ensure that, the road maintainer should have Motor Cycle with RC book, DL, Insurance as per the RTO norms and same should be reported to the concerned Assistant Executive Engineers PWD SUB Divisions.

The contractor should pay the salaries to the road maintainer every month compulsorily as per The labour act irrespective of the payments received by the departments In case If the contractor failed to make monthly payment to the road maintainer action will be initiated to terminate the contract and Contractor will be blacklisted

Fuel Allowance of Rs. 2,500/ for road maintainer motor cycle is already included in the estimate

Road maintainer should maintain the maintenance of roadwork except BOQ items executed by the contractor, as per the directions and instructions issued by concerned section officer/AEE

The road maintainer should bring to the notice of section officer regarding if any illlegal activities in the entrusted chainageviz road cutting any encroachments etc

The road maintainer should clear the obstacles during rainy season period, if obstacles are more it should be brought to the notice of section officer

The concerned contractor has to provide required tools and plants (spade, pic axe, pan, sickle) to the road maintainerfor the maintenance of road like jungle clearance, berm cutting and shoulder fillingany other work which is instructed by engineer in charge of the work.

Road maintainer should work for all the days except Sundays.

Road maintainer should maintain a dairy of the daily activities and obtain counter signature of the section officer

Concerned contractor should provide the Smart-phone to the Road maintainer to send the GPS photo daily from working placethrough whatsapp to the concerned section officer

There Shall not be any employee and employer relationship between the department and the road maintainer.
