Modification in existing EI system as per latest TAN, it includes:- Design and modification in existing interface and interlocking circuit of EI system, including modification in VDU,CCIP, MT, Data logger, EI, Relay rack complete wiring conforming to RDSO specification, as per technical requirement & tentative approved signaling plan/diagrams. Required hardware will be provided by railways except the wiring, material (i.e. connectors, interconnecting cable/wires, fuses 01 etc.) The work includes supply of modified ST/LT, interface and logic circuit, CCIP/VDU diagram etc. to suit the approved interlocking plan. It also includes modification in data logger/MT, carrying out FAT, SAT jointly with railways and satisfactory commissioning of the modified EI with full complements as per approved IP and central railway practices. All plans and wiring diagrams shall be prepared on AUTOCAD and supplied in both soft copy and hard copies (6 sets.) Alteration involving modification in up to 10 routes.NOTE : If the alteration involves modification of routes up to 10, fixed cost as per the Rate mentioned in (i) above shall be paid. If the alteration involves modification of routes are more than 10 up to 20 routes, then, fixed cost as per the Rate mentioned in (ii) above shall be paid.
Supply of Relay rack assembly complete with scaffolding, fixtures and accessories 02 including MS Bars for fixing of relay plug board, string rods, fuse strips with bracket, 11 way Bus bars with cover and mounting brackets, runway for cable/wires, frame, base assembly etc. Siemens type & as per extant practice on C.Rly. Typical part list as per Annexure-II and Rack arrangement as per sketch no SK-727 and Rack plan as approved by Engineer in charge.
Supply of Main cable Termination rack complete with scaffolding, fixtures & accessories including square bars for mounting 8-way terminal blocks, ladder, string rods, frame, base assembly, insulators, J bolt , nut/bolts & fasteners, backelite sheet, etc. Siemens type and as per extant practice of Central Railway. Typical part list as per Annexure-III and rack arrangement shall be as per sketch No.SK-727 with latest alterations.
Supply of PVC flexible copper cable single core, multistrand 1x10 Sq.mm (80 04 conductor each diameter 0.40 +/- 0.01) as per IS 694/2010. with latest amendment if any with insulation thickness of 1.0 mm nominal conductor resistance 1.91 ohms/km and test parameters are as per IRS (S) 76/89 (Amd.3)or latest.
Supply of PVC flexible copper cable single core, multistrand 1x16 Sq.mm (126 05 conductor each diameter 0.40 +/- 0.01) as per IS 2465/1984 & IS: 694/2010. with latest amendment if any with insulation thickness of 1.0mm nominal conductor resistance 1.121 ohms/km and test parameters are as per IRS (S) 76/89 (Amd.3)or latest.

Circuit wiring/jumpering as per circuit diagrams in the relay racks/IDF rack tagblocks. This includes preparation of jumper sheets by wire man duly checked by firm's site supervisor & 04 wire to wire testing as per circuit diagram. Any wrong jumper done by wireman will not be paid & correction shall be done free of cost. Jumper wires will be issued by Railways. Good quality solder resin core to be supplied by contractor for soldering of jumper wires. Soldering of jumper wires to be done after completion of testing by Railways. Unit(Per Jumper =1 set)
Relay Contact break test of indoor relay wiring. Contractor shall depute Engineer, 05 Supervisor & wiremen technically qualified to carryout contact break testing as per approved circuit diagrams. Firm Engineer to sign circuit diagrams for break testing after carrying out the test in presence of Railway's site supervisor/Engineer. Unit(Per A3 Size circuit per Sheet=1 set)
Functional testing of PI/RRI/IBS/Autosignal etc. as per Selection table, control table, 06 sqare sheet etc. Contrctor shall depute one Engineer, one supervisor & wiremen technically qualified to carryout functional testing as per approved design. Technical knowledge of contractor's staff will be judged by Railways Engineer incharge before permitting them to do the testing.

This includes connection of MF Earth of 1 ohm earth resistance for IPS and power distribution connection to bus bars and relay racks in the room with contractor's own wiring materials and fabrication and 09 fixing of AC/DC power distribution board made on 10mm thick phenolic hylam sheets or any standard make with connections suitable for 63 A. Wiring to be done considering site requirement, depending upon the load with suitable wires, lugs & glands as per insructions of Engineer-in-charge. This item also includes supply & fixing of ladder along the wall for carrying power supply wires/cables from IPS room to Relay room/power room and potential free contact wiring at Datalogger IDF etc. Each

Lettering & Numbering of detail and description writing of particulars of terminations 12 & equipmlents on relay rack, relays, cable termination rack, battery & power equipment, IPS, operating panel, axle counter etc constituting entire system with contractor's own paint and writing material ("Asian/Dulux" make enamel paints to be used). The work shall be done as per extant practice on C.Rly & instruction of Rly engineer at site.
Preparation of cable route plan, cable coreage plan, location particulars, cable termination rack particulars, cable meggering report, earth resistance particulars, Traction bonding 13 diagram, 1/2 wire count sheet and any other drawing in Autocad in A3/A4 size. The contractor shall initially supply 3 sets of circuits complete for approval of Railways. Railways will return one set to the contractor duly approved with alteration/corrections if any. The contractor shall incorporate Railways alterations/corrections in the tracings without any deviation and submit all tracings complete in all respects to the Railways. This includes submission of final cable route plan as per laid cable duly measured at every 30m clearly indicating distance of laid cable from fixed point of reference & indicating all track crossings and tail cables. This also include designing of cable coreage plan based upon I.P. in consultation with engineer-in-charge.(ii) For small/medium yards (<=100 routes)
Design and supply of Detailed signalling circuits including Panel diagram (if required), Route section plan, Selection table, Fuse & negative tag. analysis, Contact analysis, Relay rack arrangement and wire count sheets etc. in A3 size. Completion circuit shall be plotted in AutoCAD. The contractor shall initially supply 2 sets of circuits duly signed by the circuit designer having substantial experience on design side for making such circuits, complete for approval of Railways. 14 Railways will return one set of circuit to the contractor duly approved with alterations / corrections, if any. The contractor shall incorporate Railway's alterations/corrections in the original tracings & CD without any deviation and submit two copies of the modified circuits. Original tracings so modified & final CD complete in all respects along with 6 sets of final approved circuits (out of which one set shall be supplied in transparent bags. Only two sheets of circuits shall be placed in one bag each) shall be submitted to the Railways in case there are no further alteration suggesged by Railways. This also includes modification in yard. i)for IBS/ABS/LC Gate
Preparation of final ammonia prints of diagrams in A-3 size after tracings are approved by Railways, in four sets for final submission with one set of diagrams in transparent 15 polythene bag/lamintion. (only two sheets shall be placed on one polythene bag/laminated each). Every set shall be set in a plastic folder of A3 size and of good quality. Installation of earth electrode assembly as per Drg.No.RE/S&T/SIG/Tender/SK726/85 including earth wire connected through GI wire 8 SWG supported on M.S. flat of size 6mm x 40 mm to earth electrode as per drg. No.CR/S&T/SK-815 for sigg. Equipment such as lever frames, 31 apparatus case, signals, relay racks, block instruments, and etc. as per RE manual. The earth value should be less than 10 Ohms including the lead wire. The value should be measured in presence of Rly. supervisor. It should be documented and painted on earth enclosure made of concrete.( only earth electrode will be supplied by Railway). All other material required for provision of earthing will be brought by the contractor.
Installation of unit earth as per RDSO/SPN/197/ver I or latest, to construct earthing of </=1 Ohm consisting of a digging the earth to required depth, insertion of electrode, filling of earth 32 enhancing compound & construction of chamber, measurement of earth value and all other work of earthing as per code of practice. All the consumables for mounting the copper tape inside the relay room, Exothermic weld materials and tools & fixtures for the welding copper tapes nd Electrodes etc shall be arranged by the contractor.

Fixing of modular termianal/fuse blocks alongwith all accessories with provision of 44 fixing holes on hylam sheets/side angles of Loc Box and fixing by galvanised nuts & bolts. This includes fixing on DIN channel alongwith PVC Comb type 'C' channel (size 2 inch x 2 inch) for cable termination of modular terminal. The PVC channel with cover to be supplied by firm as required. The work shall be done as per the instruction of Rly engineer at site.

Making an entrance for new cable in old existing location, Casting concreting and curing of foundation and restoring it to old position by perfect masonary/concreting work. Contractor will ensure that cable entered in Location Box is properly protected.
Horizontal boring of cable duct of minimum 2.0 Mtr depth along with laying of 120mm HDPE pipe for track crossing with minimum depth reckoned from bottom of the rail/Road crossing with minimum depth reckoned from ground level. The work shall be done as per extant practice & 47 instructions of site engineer. Preparation of site for Horizontal Boring shall be carried out in presence o f Railway Representative. HDPE will be supplied by Railway. Note:- Contractor shall provide all material required for boring and adequate nos. of labours for proper laying of cables into the bore. Cable shall be laid cautiously so that it should not get damage due to rough handling & pressure on cable.
