ROOF TREATMENT/ REPAIR TO ROOF SHEETS AND CONNECTED WORKS UNDER AGE B/R-II OF GE(N) MAMUN

Note for Ser item No 02 to 04 :- 1.1 The guarantee period of water proofing treatment as executed under relevant items of Sch `A` shall be 05 years (or as per manufactures gurantee which ever is more) and the contractor shall be responsible to keep the entire bldgs free from leakage/seepage for a period of 05 years after the certified date of completion of the work. An amount of Rs 18000/- to as per scale of performance security i.e of total of sum of quoted rates of these items which-ever is more shall be kept reserved out of contractor`s final bill as security deposit during Guarantee period of 05 years. The contractor may give a separate interest bearing security deposit to GE valid for 05 years for this amount alternatively. 1.2 Should the GE at any time during or prior to expiry of said Guarantee period of 05 years, find that leakage/seepage has been caused to the bldgs, the contractor, on demand in writing from the GE will forthwith undertake to carryout water proofing treatment at his own expense till expiry of the Guarantee period of 05 years. In the event of contractor`s failure to comply with GE`s direction within the stipulated period, the work shall be carried out at the risk and cost of the contractor. The liability of the contractor shall not however extend beyond of the period of 05 years from the certified date of completion, unless the notice was served to the contractor previously to rectify such defects. 1.3 Work under these items shall be executed through authorised applicater of the main manufacturer, approved by the GE.

M&L for water proofing to internal surfaces of walls using white cementituous one component waterproof coating in two coats complete all as specified and described below :- (a) Remove all the loose adhering material like dirt, dust, organic solvent and oil etc. from the surface using emery papers, chiesel, or wire brush etc.completly. (b) Wash surface properly with clean water, allow the surface to dry completely before application of the product (incase of efflorescence, surface should be cleaned throughly to remove all loose particles from Interior surface). (c) Surface cracks shall be filled (< 3mm) by crack filler products and bigger cracks, damaged portion and hollow areas shall be repaired by white level plast. (d) Apply first coat on the cleanand dry surface uniformly with the help of painting brush after thorough mixing white cementituous one component waterproof coating. Apply 2nd coat cross wise after 4 to 6 hrs when the coated surface is completly dry (The total thickness of both the coats shll be limited to maximum 1.5mm).

Apply 2nd coat cross wise after 10 to 12 hrs when the coated surface is completly dry. (The total thickness of both the coats should be limited to maximum 1 mm)

Dismantling of brick tile or terracing tiles with bedding layer of mortar etc and removal of rubbish beyond MOD land complete all as specified & directed.

Demolition of cement concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for and removal of rubbish beyond MOD land complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for brick tiles terracing with 40mm thick brick tiles bedded on 15mm thick cement mortar (1:6) and joints grouted flush in cement mortar (1:3) mixed with 5% of crude oil by weight of cement complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for brick tiles terracing (using old tiles obtained from dismantling) bedded on 15mm thick cement mortar (1:6) and joints grouted flush in cement mortar (1:3) mixed with 5% of crude oil by weight of cement complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B-0 ( using 12.5mm graded crushed stone aggregate) padding as roof mixed with WPC as per manufacturer's instruction, surface finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed. Note: WPC shall be measured and paid for separately.

M&L 20mm thick cement plaster in cement mortar 1:4 on concrete surface finished even and smooth mixed with liquid water proofing compound as per manufacturer instruction including raking out joingts, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water etc complete all as specified and directed. Note : WPC shall be measured separately.

M&L for APP modified roof treatment over existing accessible RCC roof slab / chajjah / canopy / parapet walls to be executed through approved applicator of the membrane manufacturer with following specification etc complete all as specified and directed :- (a) Cleaning existing surface properly. (b) Applying oil bound bitumen primer @ 0.30 liter/Sqm manufacture by the same agency as that of APP having a density 0.87-0.89 Kg per liter at 25 degree centigrade on prepared surface. (c) Laying not less than 3mm thick APP modified water proofing membrane weighing not less than 3.60 Kg/Sqm reinforced with non woven polyster fiber weight not less than 160gsm using butane torch by torch application with 10cm side laps and 15cm end overlap of membrane.

M&L for APP modified roof treatment over existing non-accessible RCC roof slab / chajjah / canopy / parapet walls to be executed through approved applicator of the membrane manufacturer with following specification etc complete all as specified and directed :- (a) Cleaning existing surface properly. (b) Applying oil bound bitumen primer @ 0.30 liter/Sqm manufacture by the same agency as that of APP having a density 0.87-0.89 Kg per liter at 25 degree centigrade on prepared surface. Dismantling wrought iron or mild steel work of any description not otherwise provided for complete all as specified & directed.

S&F Steel work in tubular trusses including special shaped washer etc. complete using ERW or induction butt welded tubes conforming to IS.1161- 1979 grade St.-240 complete all as specified & directed.

Dismantling of Asbestos cement (corrugated, semicorrugated, etc.) sheets in roof coverings including ridges, and removal of rubbish complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Pre-painted galvalume aluminum zinc coating 275 GI based corrugated steel sheet 0.50 mm thick of any colour having tensile strength of 550 Mpa as in roof covering/cladding to walls, fixed with self tapping screws complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 16 but 0.50mm thick plain pre-painted galvalume aluminum zinc coating GI based corrugated steel sheet.

M&L for preparation of new steel or iron surfaces of any description over 10 cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L false ceiling of 8mm thick gypsum tiles (600x600mm) laminated with PVC film on the face side & metalised polyester film on the back side with all four edges sealed with PVC film (shade either plain white or crack) fixed using T grid/Cross-T/Wall angle/level clip & suspenders of standard galvanised sections in a grid size of 600x600mm, complete all as specified and directed. M&L 10 mm thick cement plaster in cement mortar 1:3 on brick or concrete surface of sunken floor finished even and smooth using WPC liquid of make Dr. Fixit or STP as per manufacturer instruction @ 0.200 ltr in 50 Kg of cement complete all as specified & directed (WPC shall be measured and paid separately)

M&L for bitumen blown of any grade, applied hot, two coats to concrete/plastered surfaces at the rate of 1.5 Kg per sq m per coat and applying polythene film black, 50 micron complete for sunken floor slab and embedded in side wall / covered fillet complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling floor, hearth or walls tilling and terrazo topping including cement mortar bedding ( but not backing), rubish off the premises complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing new plastered surface of wall and appying two coats of cement base paint mixed with silicon based water repellent compound over a coat of primer by roller/brush complete all as specified & as directed.

M&L for Rendering 10mm thick on fair faces of brick work, concrete sruface in cement mortar (1:6), finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of new plastered surface of walls, applying wall care putti to make the surface smooth and applying two coats of oil bound distemper complete all as specified and directed.
