Periodic maintenance of 900 VM-2, 60 Cusecs, discharge, 32.30 mtr Head VT pump of pumping Unit No 06 Installed at Tawi Pump House Jammu by way of complete dismantling of bowl assembly of VT pump, servicing, greasing and re-assembling the bowl assembly including replacement of HT bolts/studs. Repairs to top shaft of VT pump by way of rebuilding of worn-out seat portion of bearing of the Shafts. Rebuilding top shaft by way of extracting worn out sleeve of the shaft and turning shaft to remove unevenness in surface and providing and fitting new shaft sleeve fabricated out of Gun metal /SS material and fitting and locking sleeve at seat portion of bearing. Turning, finishing, and polishing to required size. Checking of eccentricity developed at the different off-sets of the shaft during operation and removing the eccentricity developed by means of press bench. The tolerance limit be kept within the prescribed limit of +0.03 mm. Repair to 01 No. line shaft rubber bearing holder by way of rebuilding of the worn out/damaged inner portion of bearing holder using suitable machinable C.I electrodes. Turning, finishing and polishing the welded portion to the required size of the outer dia. of the line shaft rubber bearing. Repairs to impeller shaft of VT pump by rebuilding worn out bearing seating portion of the shaft with suitable S.S. electrodes conforming to AISI-410 grade including Turning ,machining , finishing, polishing of the rebuilt portion to required dimensions i.e. 95 mm dia. at the top portion for rubber bearing and muff coupling and 70 mm dia. at the bottom portion for bottom rubber bearing . The work shall also includes Checking of eccentricity /run out at different off-sets of the shaft during operation and rectification same wherever required by suitable press bench. Repairs to key ways including fabrication and fitting of SS pins and SS keys as per the existing sample complete in all respect. Repair to 3rd line shaft of VT pump by way of rebuilding of worn-out seat portion of the bearing on the line shaft with suitable S.S. electrodes conforming to AISI-410 grade. Turning, finishing, and polishing of the rebuilt portion to required size. Checking of eccentricity developed at the different off-sets of the shaft during operation and removing the eccentricity developed by means of press bench. The tolerance limit be kept within the prescribed limit of +0.03 mm. then repairs to shaft holes /pin holes/key ways including fabrication and fitting of SS pins, SS keys and one no. jib head key as per sample. Repairs to 3rd shaft enclosing tube of VT pump by way of checking of face-to-face alignment and eccentricity developed in the enclosing tube at different off-sets with the help of dial gauge on lathe machine. Removing of eccentricity developed after welding /patching at the cracked portion with suitable M.S. welding electrodes and also welding of the cracked stiffeners of the flanges of the enclosing tubes Repair to 02 no. guide spider by way of welding of damaged/worn out seat portion of guide spider with suitable C.I. electrodes and finishing the welded portion as required making the surface even. Extraction of broken/damaged bolts by drilling and rethreading the drilled holes for fitment of counter sunk bolts. P/F of rubber pads with counter sunk bolts in all the three arms of guide spiders. The job includes transportation of worn-out components of the 900 VM-2 VT Pump (60 Cusecs discharge, 32.30 m head) from Tawi Pump House to the workshop and back, including loading/unloading, carriage of components such as bowl assemblies, SS line shaft, and allied parts using mechanical transport, manual labour, and EOT crane as required complete in all respects. The job involves replacement of thrust pad of other 01 No guide spider- (03 No’s). Re-assembling and lowering of extracted VT pump and column assembly involves complete wiping ,cleaning repaired parts, lowering of complete bowl assembly , column assembly in proper sequence by fitting of column pipes and fitting further, lowering fitting of shaft enclosing tube along with line shaft one by one to discharge head and Tee joint fitting with rising main of 36” dia. P/F of consumables items during lowering of the VT pump like line shaft rubber bearing 7 Nos.( Provided by the Deptt.) bottom rubber bearing 1No., HT column bolts with nuts 120 x20 mm (reputed make) 24 Nos., HT shaft enclosing tube bolts with nut 110x16 mm 18 Nos. HT bolts with nuts 110x25 mm (reputed make) 12 Nos. HT bolts 45x16 mm 12 Nos., HT bolts 65mmx16mm – 16 No. , HT Allen key bolts 40x12 mm 08 Nos., spring washers-16mm 48 nos., spring washers 12mm 24 Nos., fire fly sheet 1/32” 6 kg, fire fly sheet 1/16” 7.5 kg., rubber insertion sheet 1/18” 12 kg, gland packing ¾” 2kg, hacksaw blade double edge 6 Nos., HT bitumen tape roll, emery cloth 6 mtr., Dhoti cloth 3 kg., Grease -10 kg and servo system 46-15 litre for topping of motor (Grease provided by Deptt.) Fitting of pump and motor half coupling, checking alignment of pump and motor using dial gauge, making all the electrical connection, tightening bolts, providing of gasket, electrical thimbles and then testing on full load. Skilled person shall be provided by the firm for extraction /fitting /assembling of parts during lowering of VT pump. Complete job includes cost of transportation, materials and labour charges.
