REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF EARTHING, STRIP AND LIGHTENING CONDUCTOR AND CONNECTED INFRASTRUCTURE AT 3BRD AF CHANDIGARH UNDER GE (AF) MC CHANDIGARH.

Material and labour for Maintenance of earthing including measurement of Earth resistance and earth to neutral voltage of earthing any type (Chemical/Conventional & Grid earthing) pertaining to various locations with proper calibration earth tester and recording the reading in a register and take appropriate action such as pouring of salt mixed water in earth pit, replacement of blocked rusted funnel, tightening the earth strip through nut, bolts and washers, replacing old rusted worn out nuts and bolts with new complete all as specified and directed. Note:- The Contractor or his rep will attend the office of AGE E/M (AF) MC Chandigarh in domestic area of 3 BRD AF Chd daily for collection of complaint slip at 0900 hrs. The Contractor shall provide manpower to carry out earth pit resistance check of each section every month before 10th day (approximate No. of earthing is 573) and will enter the value of each earth pit and obtain signature of user rep as well as JE E/M and Engr-in-Charge.

Note :- (i) The earth resistance checking equipment including all necessary T&P items shall be provided by the contractor at his own cost. (ii) The cost of material such as funnel, common salt, charcoal, magnisium sulphate (MgSO4) etc will be paid under relevant item of this schedule as supply only however the cost of nut bolts shall deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

M&L for cleaning all unwanted vegetation from surrounding of earth pit, within the radius of 1 Mtr apart, cleaning inner side and out side of earthing pit complete all as directed.

Supply and fix in replacement for earthing pit funnel and repair to earth pit with wire mesh, PCC (1:3:6), type C-1 chamber, pit cover of precast RCC (1:2:4), type B-1 reinforced XPM of weight not less than 4 Kg/Sqm and plaster work inner or outer etc, complete all as specified.

Supply only common salt for mixing with water for earthing pit complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only Charcoal for earthing pit complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only Magnisium Sulphate (MgSo4) for earthing pit complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix earthing indicator made out of Aluminium sheet of size 30 cm x 25 cm, 3mm thickness with support of flat iron frame of size 25 x 4 mm including necessary PCC work over and including ine coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as directed.

Material and labour for Chemical earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 3.5 m deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 2.5 m below normal ground level, earth pit filled with Magnesium Sulphate (MgSO4) 15 cm all around the plate including connection with and including copper strip 32 x 6 as earth lead fixed by means of copper nuts, bolts, check nuts and washers etc and other end connected to the test point including 40 mm dia light grade GI protection pipe and watering pipe 20 mm dia medium grade with funnel and wire mess including necessary earth work, PCC earth pit chamber in PCC 1:2:4 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate with precast RCC pit cover 80 mm thick etc including dismantling old earthing, complete all as directed and specified. Note : The earth value/result must be less than 1.0 ohms.

Material and labour for Earthing complete with GI earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.5 m deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level, earth pit surrounded by 15 cm thick and packed layers of charcoal, dust and common salt, including GI wire 4 mm dia as earth lead fixed by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts and washers etc and other end connected to the test point including 15 mm dia light grade GI protection pipe and watering pipe 20 mm dia medium grade with funnel and wire mess including necessary earth work, PCC earth pit chamber in PCC 1:2:4 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate with precast RCC pit cover 80 mm thick etc including dismantling old earthing, complete all as directed and specified. Note : The earth value/result must be less than 5 ohms.

Material and labour for Earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 3.15 mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.5 m deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level, earth pit surrounded by 15 cm thick and packed layers of charcoal, dust and common salt, including Copper strip 20 x 3 as earth lead fixed by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts and washers etc and other end connected to the test point including 40 mm dia light grade GI protection pipe and watering pipe 20 mm dia medium grade with funnel and wire mess including necessary earth work, PCC earth pit chamber in PCC 1:2:4 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate with precast RCC pit cover 80 mm thick etc including dismantling of old earthing, complete all as directed and specified. Note : The earth value/result must be less than 3 ohms.

Supply and fix in replacement of Air termination, single pointed aluminium rod 12mm dia and 300 mm long as per site requirement with saddle complete all as directed .

Supply and fix in replacement of copper strip size 20 x 3 mm as earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on insulator or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc as required complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in replacement of Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75 x 75 x 25 mm drilled and screwed including 03 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal head screw complete all as directed.

S&F in replacement of Aluminium strip of size 25 x 3 mm as earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead to wall on insulator or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc as required complete all as directed.

S&F in replacement of porcelain insulators 15 BMD size T type with nut bolts, screws for fixing of copper/aluminium/GI strip on wall or roof etc complete all as specified and directed.

Note:- Amount of credit of Rs. 135650.00 for retrieved materials is mentioned in Schedule of Credit of tender documents in pdf form which will be deducted offline while acceptance of tender.
