Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/ manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as directed by Engineer-incharge. All kinds of soil.
Providing and laying Non Pressure NP-3 class (Medium duty) R.C.C. pipes including collars/spigot jointed with stiff mixture of cement mortar in the proportion of 1:2 (1 cement : 2 fine sand) including testing of joints etc. complete. 450 mm dia RCC pipes.
Supplying and filling of Quarry Dust for all around the pipe portion including watering,ramming, consolidating and dressing of trenches complete as per MORTH specification No.304.3.7.
Preparation and consolidation of sub grade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity after excavating earth to an average of 22.5 cm depth, dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and re-rolling the sub grade and disposal of surplus earthwith lead upto 50 metres.`

Supplying and laying Geocells in road pavements :- Providing and Laying a layer of three dimensional cellular confinement system, "Strataweb GEOCELL or equivalent product as approved by Engineer incharge, made of asonically-welded HDPE strips, which acts as a subgrade / subbase improving reinforcement mat for road pavements. Weld distance of each cell = 356mm, Depth of Cell = 150mm. The laying / installation of Geocell shall be carried out as per the manufactures specification.
Taking out existing CC interlocking paver blocks from footpath/ central verge, including removal of rubbish etc., disposal of unserviceable material to the dumping ground, for which payment shall be made separately and stacking of serviceable material within 50 metre lead as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying factory made chamfered edge Cement Concrete paver blocks in footpath, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc, of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over 50mm thick compacted bed of sand, compacting and proper embedding/laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand. complete all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.80 mm thick C.C. paver block of M-40 grade with approved color design and pattern.
Disposing the construction debris including waste generated by milling, dismantling the concrete and other debris etc., out side the campus. For measuring the quantity of debris, actual measurement of truck will be taken and 20% volume will be deducted towards voids.

Providing and laying APP (Atactic Polypropylene Polymer) modified prefabricated five layer 3 mm thick water proofing membrane, black finished reinforced with non-woven polyester matt consisting of a coat of bitumen primer for bitumen membrane @ 0.40 litre/sqm by the same membrane manufacture of density at 25°C, 0.87-0.89 kg/ litre and viscocity 70-160 cps. The laying of membrane shall be got done through the authorised applicator of the manufacturer of membrane : 3 mm thick.
Demolishing cement concrete manually/ by mechanical means including disposal of material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer - in - charge. Nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (i/c equivalent design mix)
Milling the bituminous pavement surface up to a depth of 25 mm to 50mm using a milling machine, to make a uniform surface without disturbing the base/binder course to the desired camber and profile, cleaning the milled surface, including cost of all labour charges and hire charges of machineries etc. complete. Providing and laying Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam Grade II using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site by tippers, laying with paver finisher equipped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density, complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge. 40 to 100 mm average compacted thickness with bitumen of grade VG-30 @ 4.5% (percentage by weight of total mix) and lime/ cement filler @ 2% (percentage by weight of Aggregate) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-120 TPH capacity.
Providing and laying bituminous concrete using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site by tippers, laying with paver finisher equipped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction and density as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. 30/40/50mm compacted thickness with bitumen of grade [email protected]% (percentage by weight of total mix) and lime / cement filler @3%(percentage by weight of aggregate) prepared in Batch Type Hot Mix Plant of 100-200 TPH capacity. Rate including laying tack coat vide clause 503 of MORTH specifications (Table 500-5) for road and Bridge Works, Fifth Revision, 2013. including cost of all material, labour and HOM of machineries etc. complete as per specifications.
Supplying and laying gravel mix with ratio of 1:2:7 {1 part (12mm aggregate) : 2 part (red soil ) : 7 part (Gravel)} on road shoulders for a compacted thickness of 50mm (Minimum) along road shoulders at various Madras campus.The existing road shoulder surface should be scarified for bonding with the gravel mix laid over. The mix should be thoroughly mixed with optimum moisture content and spreaded uniformly on the road shoulders. The laid surface should be compacted with mini roller and the finished shoulder surface should match with the road camber profile in such a way to drain the rain water. The rate inclusive of shifting / intercaring the necessary available red gravel and earth from the source (with in IITM campus) to the place of road shoulder work/mixing yard (lead upto 5km) as directed by the Engineer in-charge. The road surface should to cleaned after completion of the shoulder work. The work should be carried out and completed as per the direction of the Engineer-In-Charge.
Providing and laying of hot applied Thermoplastic compound 2.5mm thick including reflectorizing glass beads @ 250 gms per Sqm area, thickness of 2.5mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per IRC:35. The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from streaks and holes etc. complete as per MoRT&H specification No.803.
Providing and fixing of reflective road studs ‘Category A’ Raised Pavement Markers made out of polycarbonate / methyl methacrylate/ ABS moulded body confirming to ASTM D 788 and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face with retro reflectance and chromaticity values conforming to ASTM D4280. The reflective raised pavement markers shall also confirm to the MORTH Circular No RW/NH/33023/10-97 – DO III Dt 11.06. 97. The height, width and length shall not exceed 50 mm, 100 mm and 100 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sq.cm on each side and the slope to the base shall be 35 +/- 5 degree. Each reflector shall have a CIL not less than values specified in the Table 2 of said MORTH circular. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19 +/- 2 mm and height not less than 30+/- 2 mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kgf. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin-based adhesive as per manufacturer’s recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer. The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280 and confirming to IRC 35-2015 guidelines and MORT&H specification 804 etc., complete.
