PRESERVATION OF FDB AND PACKING TIMBER IS AS UNDER :- (a) Preservation of FDBs - 502 Nos (b) Packing Timber 9"x3"x2'-3" - 80 Nos (c) Packing Timber 9"x3"x3'-6" - 34 Nos (d) Packing Timber 9"x3"x8'-6" - 90 Nos (e) Packing Timber - 02 Nos (f) Timber packing 9"x3"x6" - 12 Nos (g) Timber Packing 9"x1"x6'- 12 Nos SPECIFICATION OF WORKS. 1. Remove of the above mentioned stores from the existing stock to the required site of work (approx 30 to 50 mtrs distance) as directed by SK/AGE/GE. 2. Cleaning/dusting the above stores with wire brush and cotton waste to make the surface rust/dust free before the starting of work. 3. Broken rivets to be replace in all FDBs. Rivets to be provided by department. 4. Drilling of extra holes (6mm dia) on MS Flat as on required basis. 5. MS Flat 37 x 5 mm thick and 6.19 mtrs with 36 Nos hole for FDB will be provided by department, if reqd. 6. After repair re-stakcing the stores on proper dunnage as directed by SK/AGE/GE. 7. Dipping the clean FDBs and Packing Timbers in the preservation tank duly filled with mixture of Creosite oil and used engine oil with the ratio of 50:50 minutes. Make of Creosote oil to be STP as directed by SK/AGE/GE. 8. After preservation removing the FDBs and Packing Timbers from the preservation tank and stacking on proper dunnage after dropping of extra oil as directed by SK/AGE/GE. 9. Removal of all waste material, debris etc and cleaning of work site before closing the work. 10. All material and cleaning material will be supplied by the contractor for maint. 11. All cleaning/PM/Old material will be property of the department.
