Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement works of Pykara Dam in Kundah Generation Circle,The Nilgiris District under the World Bank funded DRIP (Phase II and III).

Earth work Excavation including removal and satisfactory disposal of all materials necessary for the construction of roadway for Pykara camp, Approach to Dam on both flanks and side drains in accordance with the specifications and the lines, grades for spreading and making up the berms using side pit earth as per SS20B as directed by the Engineer in-charge.

Advance BT patches upto 50mm thick using 45mm IRC HBG metal with 44Kg of Bitumen per one cubic metre which shall include repair of pot holes and patching of all types of bituminous mix either produeced at plant site or at site in pot holes or in patches after trimming the pot holes or depression to painting with tack coat and compacting the layer Pykara camp and Approach to Dam on both flanks as directed by the Engineer in-charge using 80/100 Grade Bitumen.

Providing and applying of Tack coat using Bituminous Emulsion at the rate of 3Kg per 10Sqm over the BT surface in approach to Dam and Pykara camp near forest check post main road including clearing of road surface and spraying as per Clause 503 of MORT&H and directed by the Engineer.

Providing and laying 50mm consolidated thick bituminous macadam using 0.20cum fo 26.50- 13.20mm, 0.43cum of13.20-2.36mm and 0.08cum of 2.36mm & below size IRC metal with 37 Kgs of VG30 / VG40 bitumen for premixing per 10 sqm including cost and conveyance of all materials to CMP site, heating the bitumen and aggregate to required temperature and mixing the min required temperature in central hot mix plant20-30ton capacity, conveying the mix by tipper trucks to paver site, spreading the mix to uniform thickness of 50 mm with mechanical paver to the specified grades and cross sections and consolidated by8- 10 tonne Vibratory / Pneumatic Roller to the required density etc.,including labour forattending to paver to site etc.,including hire charges and fuel charges for 20-30t CMP with bitumen boiler, tipper trucks, Paver Finisher / 9m paver finisher, Vibratory / Pneumatic roller and all other tools and plant required, including fuel and all including fuel and all other incidental charges for the Pykara camp alround and approach to dam on both flanks etc.,complete as per specification using CMP as per clause 504 of MORTH Rev-5

Providing and laying Bituminous Concrete to 30 mm thick using 0.13 cum of 19.00- 9.50mm, 0.17cum of 9.50- 2.36 mm and 0.26 cum of 2.36 and below with 50.30 kgs of VG30 / VG40 bitumen for premixing per 10 sqm including cost and conveyance of all materials to CMP site, heating the bitumen and aggregate to required temperature and mixing the min required temperature in central hot mix plant20-30 ton capacity, conveying the mix by tipper trucks to paver site, spreading the mix to uniform thickness of 4 0mm with mechanical paver to the specified grades and cross sections and consolidated by8-10 tonne Vibratory / Pneumatic Roller to the required density etc., including labour for attending to paver to site etc., including hire charges and fuel charges for 20-30 t CMP with bitumen boiler ,tipper trucks, Paver Finisher / 9 m paver finisher, Vibratory / Pneumaticroller and all other tools and plant required, including fuel and all other incidenta lcharges for the Pykara camp alround and approach to dam on both flanks etc.,complete as per specification using CMP as per clause 507 of MORTH Rev-5

Filling the red gravel for road side protection wall including cost of material, transportation, consoliation, lead, lift, labour etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by engineer incharge of work.

Earth work excavation in hard stiff clay, stiff black cotton, hard red earth, shale, murram gravel, stoney earth & earth mixed with small size boulders and hard gravelly soil for foundation of kerb wall, catch drain, approach road, protection wall and depositing the earth in the places shown by the Engineer with initial lead of 10 M and initial lift of 2 m etc., complete, complying with standard specifications.

Providing and placing in position Plain Cement Concrete 1:3:6 using broken hard granite coarse aggregate size of 40mm and down graded for foundation of kerb wall, catch drain, approach road, protection wall including placing in layers and vibrating, curing, finishing the surface with all leads and lifts, labour etc., complete as per the direction of the Engineer and complying with standard specifications for protection wall,side drain for all PCC roads, RR pitching protection on the Dam.

Providing and placing in position Plain Cement Concrete 1:2:4 using broken hard granite coarse aggregate size of 20mm and down graded on kerb wall, catch drain, approach road, protection wall including placing in layers and vibrating, curing, finishing the surface with all leads and lifts, labour, shuttering charges etc., complete as per the direction of the Engineer and complying with standard specifications for protection wall,side drain for all PCC roads, RR pitching protection on the Dam.

Cleaining of chocked culverts across the existing approach road to Dam main road to old and new gate shaft at different chainage including upstream side, barral portion, down stream side cleaning, disposal of debris away from site, all lead, lift etc complete complying with standard specifications

Supplying and lying of 900 mm dia RCC hume pipe for approach road pipe culvert including cost of all materials, labour, lead lift, etc., complete.

Supplying and fixing of 75mm dia PVC pipe of working pressure 4Kg/Cm2 for wheep hole for earth sliped protection wall including cutting, cost of all materials, leads, lifts etc., complete.

Supply and fixing alignment in position of 1No. main gate of size 5.2mx3.2mfor IB enterance including cost of all materials lead,lift, transporting, aligning, labour charges for dismanling the RCC piller for fixing the hold fast, filling the RCC and neat finishing etc., complete.

Reaming the existing vertical drainage shaft of 200mm dia to the entire depth by rotary drilling from top of dam to the drainage gallery level, inclusive of all machineries, equipments, consunables, other materials required for the work, labour charges for operation, cleaing the drilled holes, transport charges for machinery and shifting them to different location etc., complete as directed by the Engineer at site for Pykara Dam..

Reaming the existing foundation drainage shaft of 200mm dia to the entire depth by specilised drilling inside drainage gallery inclusive of all machineries, equipments, consunables, other materials required for the work, labour charges for operation, cleaing the drilled holes, transport charges for machinery and shifting them to different location etc., complete as directed by the Engineer at site for Pykara Dam..

Water washing with high pressure for removal of lime leaching and fungus formation in the D/S face of Dam under hanging condition as per specification including cost of all materials, labour charges, T&Ps required for the work scaffolding, etc., complete Wherever required as per instruction of Engineer in-charge at site.

Providing and placing in position Reinforced Cement Concrete 1:1 1/2:3 providing RCC Affllux gutter on the D/S side of the Spill way using broken hard granite coarse aggregate size of 20mm and down graded including placing in layers and vibrating, curing, finishing the surface with all leads and lifts, labour etc., complete as per the direction of the Engineer and complying with standard specifications.

Supplying, fabricating and placing in position of RTS rods of required size for all reinforced cement concrete works including cost of binding wire, steel rods, conveyance charges, cutting, bending, tying with all lead, lift and labour charges etc., complete, complying with standard specifications and as directed by the Engineer at site.

Supplying, fabrication and erection of Gauge plate made of structural steel frames of width 30cm, cutting, welding, fixing in position, etc., painting two coats of enamel over one coat of primer, fixing 30cm width of Procelin Gauge plate of required thickness in the frame, stickering for reading the levels, fixing on the dam as instructed by the Engineer at site, including cost of all materials, labour, lead, lift transportation, etc., complete.
