Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth for foundation, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. and getting out in hard/dense soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of cement concrete (reinforced) in of any description and in any position and removal of debris out of MD land complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Precast RCC 1:2:4, Type B–1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in landings, cover slabs, chullah hoods, Chajjas, water troughs, mangers, Shelves and similar articles with plain faces including formwork, set in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Reinforced Cement Concrete 1:2:4, Type B1 (using 20 mm graded granite stone aggregate) cast in situ in lintels up to 1.5 M span, cills and other similar bands, plinth courses, parapets, copings, bed plates, water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating as directed including use and waste of form work complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L High strength corrosion resistant TMTsteel bar of grade Fe-500 , 10 mm dia and over cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia., or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed.

M&L High strength corrosion resistant TMTsteel bar of grade Fe-500, 5 mm dia and over upto to 10 mm dia cut to length, bent to shape required, including cranking, bending spirally for hooping for columns, hooking ends and binding with mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia., or securing with clips in stirrups , spacers and binders etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Rendering 15 mm thick in two layers on brick or concrete surfaces,first coat 10mm thick in cement mortar 1:6 and 2nd coat 5mm thick in cement mortar 1:6 mixed with water proofing compound as per manufacturer instructions finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Water proofing compound shall be measured and paid seperately. However, labour aspect for Mixing water proofing compound is deemed to be included in this item

M&L applying two coats of cement based paint on newly plastered surfaces of walls including preparation of new surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for item 16 :- (i) Before applying cement based paint ,the surface shall be thouroughly wetted to control surface suction. The surface shall be moist but not dripping wet when the paint applied .Surfaces which readily absorb moisture shall be wetted in one operation not more than one hour before painting.Surfaces which absorb moisture slowly shall be wtted in at least two operations not less than 30 minutes apart.

(ii) To maintain a uniform mixture and to prevent segregation ,the paint shall be stirred frequently in the bucket.

(iii) Painting surfaces shall be cured as soon as paint has hardened so as not be to damaged by the spray about 12 hours after the applications.

(iv) Cost of scaffolding required deemed to be included in the quoted rate of item and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account.

(v) Work will be carried out through authorised applicator/ agency of approved manufacturer by GE and colour shall be as approved by Engr in charge .

M&L in repairs Broken glass coping on top of walls using broken glass pieces fixed in CM (1:3) complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for Item No 22:- The quoted rates shall be deemed to inclusive of following:- (a) 25mm layer of cement mortar for fixing glass pieces(of bottle or thick glass) broken to approximately 63mm gauge, shall be firmly embedded at the rate of 10 Kg of glass per square metre of rendered surface, jogged edges of the glass being left projecting.

(b) Taking down existing glass from coping.

(c) Scaffolding for execution of work and protective measures should be taken.

Dismantling fencing wire mesh, barbed wire etc any type and any size complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for item No 26:- The unit rate quoted is deemed to be included for Removing of accumulated earth of any width and depth upto 15 cm cleaning/cutting the grass/ trimming down shurbs/ branches/ small trees with hand operated petrol/kerosene driven grass cutting machine and removing the grass waste around 3 m from fencing post in outside MD land

Excavating in post holes (or similar holes) in any type of soil, each not exc 0.5 cum, getting out in hard dense soil, returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm including demolition of existing damaged foundation of fencing posts complete all as specified and as directed.

Dismantling wrought iron or mild steel work of any description not otherwise provided complete all as specified and directed.

M&L M S angle iron Posts and struts in fencing including cutting tops to shape as directed, drilling holes, notching for wire, etc. flat iron fillets (for securing wire mesh etc.) including all necessary drilling, bolting or riveting, etc and similar work conforming to Fe-290 Gde E-165 complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Mild steel screw bolts (machine made) with hexagonal or square heads at one end and screwed the other to be fitted with washers and one hexagonal or square nuts, n exc 5cm long diameter of neck 5 to 10mm including taking down existing one complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L PCC 1:4:8, type D-2, using 40mm graded stone aggregate in foundation filling and mass concrete etc complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F in repairs Galvanised steel punched type concertina coil 1050mm dia (dia of coil with unstreched) and streched for a length of 6RM/ Coil while fixing and fixed to angle iron binded with 3.15mm dia GI wire complete all as specified and directed.

Note for item No 39 :- Weight of one coil, with 50 Turns of 1050mm dia and 129 number clips shall not be less than 15.2 Kg.

Dismantling serviceable concertina coil of size 1050 mm dia of any description and refixing the same in boundry wall all as specified and as directed

Dismantling and re-fixing barbed wire of any description straining and fixing to any type of standrard rails including securing or tying at crossing with and provision of galvanised mild steel wire ,stapple or steel pins complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Each line of wire to be measured.

M&L PCC 1:3:6, type C-1(using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in precast cement concrete solid building blocks or slabs 10cm thick (with plain or interlocking joint as directed) setting in cement mortar (1:4), in walls including demolition of existing damaged walls complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Chequered cement concrete tiles 30cmx30cmx25mm thick machine pressed set jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry as in floors and cut and polished using grey cement and pigments over screed bed or bedding layer of mortar 15mm thick for laying floor finishes in cement mortar (1:4) including demolishing the existing tile complete all as specified and directed

Note for Item No 44 :- (a) The Unit rate quoted is included for Demolition of Chequered tiles of any description or thickness in floors,aprons etc laid bedded and pointed in any mortar and removing of debris outside of MD land

(b) The manufacturer's test certificate and individual test certificate for tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation/fixing.

M&L Preparation of new steel surface of any description over 10cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Preparation of new steel surfaces n.exc 10 cm width or girth and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of of red oxide primer complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Preparation of old steel surface of any description over 10cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for item No 47 to 49 :- (a) The synthetic enamel paint, shall be of 1st quality manufactured by the standard firms of make as specified.

(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.

(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint will be approved by the GE.

(d) Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)

(e) Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE

(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.

(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.

(h) No hair marks from the brush or clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.

S&F Mild Steel work in tubular trusses including special shaped washer etc. complete using ERW or induction butt welded tubes conforming to IS 1161-1979 gradeSt.-240) including dismantling existing one complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F Mild Steel Plates (plain or chequered) channels, square cut or notched (ordinary and counter sunk) forming holes, with riveted ,bolted or welded attachment.(Fe 410 -W (Gde- E-250) quality -A complete including dismantling existing one all as specified and as directed.

S&F MS flat iron wind ties for roof including securing bolts including all necessary drilling, bolting or riveting, etc. and similar work conforming to Fe-290 Gde E-165 complete all including dismantling existing one as specified and as directed.

M&L Pre painted Coloured corrugated Galvalume roofing system sheet 0.50 mm thick having Zinc aluminum alloy coating AZ150 shall be as per IS:277/ASTM 1379 150 gsm/ sqm double ribbed trapezoidal profile steel sheet any colour having tensile strength of 550 Mpa as in Roof covering /cladding to wall fixed with self tapping screws including dismantling of existing one all complete all as directed.

M&L Pre-painted galvalume aluminum zinc coating GI based Plain steel sheet 0.50mm thick of any colour having tensile strength of 550 Mpa as in roof covering/ cladding to wall, fixed with self tapping screws including dismantling of existing one all as directed.

Note for pre-painted coloured Galvalume roofing :-

(i) The manufacturer's test certificate and individual test certificate for the chemical and mechanical properties of sheet must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.

(ii) The contractor shall ensure that no leakages take place from the roof. The roofing shall be Coloured Galvalume roofing system (olive green colour or as approved by GE) with feed material manufactured from 0.50 mm Total coated thickness (TCT), minimum 550 MPa yield strength and shall conform to the physical specifications of IS: 2062 of 2011, coated with hot dip metallic Aluminium / Zinc alloy coating AZ150 as 150 gm/sq.mt total on both sides complete all as specified and as directed.

(iii) The painting shall be coloured baked enamel polyester with silicon coating of film thickness 25 microns nominal on the exposed face/exterior side and on the reverse side ( interior face) shall be white with 15 microns film thickness, over a coat of 5 micron nominal thickness Primer.

(iv) The contractor shall produce purchase vouchers for each lot and independent test for verification of Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L 100 mm thick Plain cement concrete 1:4:8 type D-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate ) as in sub base , fillng and mass concrete or as in receiving tiles/ surface channels and drains etc including demolition complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Chequered cement concrete tiles 30cmx30cmx25mm thick machine pressed set jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry on vertical surfaces as in skirting, dados and risers of steps and cut and polished using grey cement and pigments over backing coat of mortar 10mm thick for laying floor fnishes in cement mortar (1:3) including taking down existing tiles complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in Charge.

Note for Item No 69 :- (a) The Unit rate quoted is included for Demolition of Chequered tiles of any description or thickness in floors,aprons etc laid bedded and pointed in any mortar and removing of debris outside of MD land

(b) The manufacturer's test certificate and individual test certificate for tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation/fixing.

M&L Checking of floor, plinth, plaster etc requiring masonry work and carrying out minor repairs such as edges, patches etc, including petty repairs material like sand, cement & aggregate to make it functional complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Note for Item No 72 :- The quated rate for plastering deemed to be inclusive for the following:- (a) Preparing the surfaces.

(b) Thickness of plaster/plinth key in joints, etc.

(c) Anises, chamfers of any width, internal rounded angles upto 80mm in width or girth external rounded angles upto 80mm in width or girth.

(d) All materials, labour and equipment & supply of integral waterproofing compound.

(e) Scoring surface of plastering for key, where the surface is not required to be finished fair.

(f) Plastering in patches (in repairs), exc 3 sq.m each patch, for preparing old walls to receive plastering'. Nothing extra shall be admissible for matching with existing work etc.

(g) Any individual patch (other than nail hole, plug hole, etc.) are included for provided existing surface finish

M&L Taking down cement plaster on brick or stone walls, or concrete or ceilings etc., including raking out joints, hacking for key, scrubbing down with water, etc., including removal of rubbish off the premises, removal and depositing serviceable materials where directed and leaving the work clear of any plastering complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Rendering 15 mm thick in two layers on brick or concrete wall surfaces,first coat 10mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 and 2nd coat 5mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 finished even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed.

Note for Item No 85 :- (a) The Unit rate quoted is included for Demolition of paver tiles of any description or thickness in floors,aprons etc laid bedded and pointed in any mortar and removing of debris outside of MD land

(b) The manufacturer's test certificate for tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority.

Note for Item No 89 :- The rate included for cutting out broken tiles, removing and cleaning loose tiles, preparing bed removing rubbish, brooming and replacing broken old tiles with new tiles to match, necessary cement mortar bedding complete with all cuttings etc, and the unit rate quoted is deemed to be included this provision also.

M&L in repairs Granite work (of any type) 18 to 20mm thick (table rubbed and polished including round edge) in steps, jambs, pillars, window cills, cooking platforms, wash basin platform and like in cement mortar (1:4) including pointing in white cement (1:2) using marble dust with admixture of pigment to match with granite shade over and including 15mm thick screed bed in CM 1:4 in repairs complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L 100mm thick, plain cement concrete (1:3:6), type C-2 (using 40 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates), as in path/hardstanding including making joints @ 3.00 metre intervals and at each corner, the joint shall be filled with mastic filling (to full depth) comprising of one part heated hot blown bitumen 85/25 & two parts heated sand (by volume), surface finished even and smooth without using extra cement including demolition of existing damaged cement concrete (unreinforced) in ground floors and pavings not exceeding 15 cm thickness and rubish material shall be disposal to out side MD land complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for item No 92 :- The concrete shall be laid at a stretch not exceeding 3 metre in length and width of joint shall not be more than 12 mm.

Taking down and refixing the same steel gate exc 3.00 but not exc 6.00 sqm in each pane after repair of rusted or damaged portion of the gate including pivot, holdfast, stopper, locking arrangement, pintel etc.. and necessary greasing to shutter, with or including spot welding, running welding all as specified and as directed. Note: New mild steel required for replacing rusted or damaged portion will be measured separately.

M&L in repairs welded steel wire fabric cut to length,bent to shape required and tying with and including annealed mild steel wire not less than 0.9mm dia or fixing with galvanised steel staples supplied and fixed complete to wood or steel members not excceding 4Kg/Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair Mild steel black sheet 0.80mm thick in wall cladding, steel gates and similar works, cut to size, holes punched including round headed screws, clout nails for rebates and fixed to steel framing with plain 40mm lap joints with rebated or weilded seams including bending or turning up mitred angles etc as required complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Vitrified Ceramic tiles 10 mm thick, light shade (square/ rectangular) polished, area of each tiles not exceeding 0.36 sqm, in floors etc. set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match, laid over and including screed bed or bedding layer, 15 mm thick in Cement Mortar 1:6 complete including dismantling of existing tile and disposal off to outside MD land all as specified and as directed.

M&L Vitrified Ceramic tiles 10 mm thick, light shade (square/ rectangular) polished, area of each tiles not exceeding 0.36 sqm, in vertcal surfaces such as skirting/ dado etc. set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match, laid over and including screed bed or bedding layer ,15 mm thick in Cement Mortar 1:6 complete including dismantling of existing tile and disposal of to outside MD land all as specified and as directed.

Note for item No 98 & 99 :- (i) Vitrified tiles are classified under group B1a of the international Standard for ceramic tiles ISO: 13006. Tiles shall be hard, dense, impervious and frost resistant. Water absorption of tiles shall be less than 0.5% and flexural strength (Modulus of Rupture) shall be more than 35 N/Sqmm.

(ii) The manufacturer's test certificate and individual test certificate of Tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.

Dismantling floor, hearth or wall tiling including cement mortar bedding (but not backing), removing serviceable tiles to store and rubbish off the premises and Joint free Non - skid Ceramic tiles 7 to 8 mm thick (square/ rectangular) area of each tile of size exc 0.09 Sqm but n exc 0.18 Sqm in floors etc. set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white or coloured cement to match incuding screed bed or bedding layer of mortar 15mm thick for laying floor finishes in cement mortar (1:4) complete all as directed.

Note for item No 102 :- The manufacturer's test certificate of Tiles must be submitted for approval by the concerned authority prior to installation.

M&L Providing cement concrete type C1, 1:3:6 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in surface channels and drains includigng demolition of existing damaged one complete all as specified and as directed.

Note for item No 127 to 132 :- The unit rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive for the following :-

(a) Solid sludge means bulky mass of sludge which remains at the bottom of septic tank/soakage well after pumping out/taking out sludge water.

(b) Contractors are advised to ascertain the place suitable/earmarked for disposal of sludge/sewage water from local municipality or area controlling authority before quoting their rates. Disposal of waste at suitable place shall be sole responsibility of contractors and no representation or objection in this regard will be entertained at later stage.

(c) The rate included for excavation of borrow pits for burying of removed sludge under the ground, making good the excavated earth to a true surfaces.

(d) Removing of accumulated earth around septic tank up to 3 m of any width and depth up to 30 cm. cleaning/cutting the grass around septic tank up to 3 m and removing the grass waste to outside MD land. Cutting and filling shall be cleared of shrubs, vegetation, grass bush, weed, trees and sapling not exceeding 30 cm in girth, measured at a height of two metre above ground level. Cutting the grass/felling of trees shall include digging out roots up to 60 cm below the ground level or 14 cm below the formation level, whichever is lower. All holes and hollows formed in the ground digging out of roots shall be carefully filled up with moorum/red bajri well rammed and levelled.

(e) The complaints to be rectified within SIX hours on same day. The Delay in rectification of complaint more than Six hours, the penalty will be levied @ Rs.100.00 Per complaint/ day.

(f) In case the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within a period of 6 hrs then the same shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Charge and the period for the completion of the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC.

(b) The contractor shall inform the GE, within three weeks of the acceptance of the tender, the brand/names of the manufacturers of paint proposed to be used in the works and submit samples thereof and obtain prior written approval of GE before their use in works.

(c) The contractor shall when so required by the GE, produce certificate from the manufacturer or their representative to establish that the brands of paints purchased by the contractor from them, satisfy the requirements of the relevant Indian Standards. Tint of paint will be approved by the GE.

(d) Paints shall be obtained direct from approved manufacturer or from their authorized agents only of respective brands mentioned below and brought to site in sealed containers. The paint so procured shall be of first quality of any approved make as per list of makes specified. i. Berger Paints (Luxol), ii. Jenson & Nicholson (Brolac), iii. Shalimar Paints(Superlac), iv. Goodlass Nerolac (Nerolac), v. Asian Paints(Apcolite)

(e) Unless otherwise specified the tints of paint shall be as approved by the GE

(f) The contractor shall submit samples of the paints proposed for the work along with results of tests conducted in approved laboratory as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for approval.

(g) The surface shall be thoroughly cleaned and dusted. All dirt scales oil and grease shall be thoroughly removed before painting is started. The prepared surface shall be inspected and approved by the GE before painting is commenced. The weather shall not be foggy/rainy, dusty or windy. The suitability of the weather will be determined by the Engineer-in-Charge.

(h) No hair marks from the brush or clogging of paint buddles shall be left on the work. Surface shall ordinarily not be painted until it has dried up completely. Trial patches of paint shall be laid at intervals to check if drying is satisfactory.

M&L Preparation of old plastered surfaces of wall by using pressure washer, including removal of existing colour/treatment and dirt, dust etc and applying one coat of oil bound distemper complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Salt-glazed stoneware drain pipes, 200 mm bore, laid in trenches and jointed as specified, complete including taking down existing damaged pipe,of any size including damaged haunching/ bed concrete etc complete all as specified and as directed.

(b) Disposal of the same shall be the responsibility of the contractor with out any extra expenditure to government. Disposal of waste shall be made in accordance with the regulations of authorities concerned.

(c) The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to be inclusive of cleaning the neared MH & sewage line from that MH to septic tank as directed by Engr-in-Chrage.

(d) Disposal of refuseincluding uding liquid removed from septic tank/manhole shall be the responsibility of the tenderer and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. Disposal shall be made in accordance with the regulations of civil authorities.

M & L repair to ends of chajjas/ parapets by removing old concrete, loose material & cleaning of the reinforcement and finishing the surface in cement mortar 1:3 , finished fair & even and making good with existing finishes all as specified and directed.
