AUGMENTATION OF WATER SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM INCLUDING PROVISION OF SLUICE VALVE AND AIR RELEASE VALVE IN BRANCH LINES TO CONTROL PRESSURE IN KADAMBA VANAM AND LITTLE BINAGA AT NAVAL BASE KARWAR

Amount

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m depth and getting out in soft / loose soil for laying/taking out GI pipe line all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in including spreading levelling watering and well ramming in layer not exceeding 25 cm thick in soft/loose soil all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point all as specified and directed.

Taking out old unserviceable DI / CI pipe with all fittings from trenches of following sizes all as directed. NOTE: Excavation & earth work will be measured & paid seperately under respective item.

(a) 300 mm bore

(c) 200 mm bore

(d) 150 mm bore

Supply and fix ductile iron tubing class K-7 with all fittings and fixed complete to laid in trenches all as specified and directed for the following sizes:

(a) 300 mm bore

(d) 150 mm bore

Taking out old unserviceable GI tubing with all fittings from trenches, walls, floors etc of following sizes all as directed. NOTE: Excavation & earth work will be measured & paid seperately under respective item.

(a) 150 mm bore

(b) 100 mm bore

(c) 80 mm bore

(d) 50 mm bore

(e) 40 mm bore

S & F GI tubing medium grade galvanized with all fittings and laid in trenches all as specified and as directed for the following sizes:

(a) 150 mm bore

(b) 100 mm bore

(d) 50 mm bore

S & F GI tubing medium grade galvanised with all fittings and laid in walls, ceiling or laid in floors etc all as specified and directed for the following sizes:

(a) 80 mm bore

Taking out old unserviceable gate, stop or globe valve of following sizes all as directed:

(a) 50 mm bore

(b) 40 mm bore

S & F gun metal gate valve ISI marked with iron wheel head screwed both ends for iron pipe of the following sizesall as specified and as directed:

(a) 50 mm bore

(b) 40 mm bore

S & F cast iron air release valve with single air outlets, flanged ends conforming to IS 14845 of size 200 mm dia bore and fixing up in CI / DI water supply mains of size 200 mm dia all as specified and directed

All as per Item No 11.00 herein before but of size 150 mm dia.

S & F in replacement cast iron sluice valve of size 300mm flanged PN-1.6 ISI marked conforming to IS:14846 hand wheel operated, stainless steel stem with gun metal parts flanged driller conforming to IS: 1538 non rising stem PN-1.6 all as specified and as directed.

All as per Item No 13.00 herein before but of size 250 mm dia.

All as per Item No 19 here in before but of size 250 mm dia.

M & L for bends any type (radius and angle) tapers any type (straight, bend, increasing, decreasing or double socket etc), Tee pieces single branch , "Y" junction, double branch, cross (all flanged or sockets or socket and spigot) collars, caps and plugs as per IS specification of size upto 150-300 mm dia complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for construction of valve pit chamber 100 x 100 x 100 cm internal dimension with 10 cm thick foundation using PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 over 10 cm thick hardcore, 20 cm thick PCC block wall built in cement and mortar 1:4, 15 mm thick internal plaster including top of floor in cement and sand mortar 1:5, finished even and smooth, without using extra cement, 1.4 mm thick MS sheet cover with 20 x 20 x 4 mm flat iron holdfast, hinges, handle, locking arrangement and applying one coat of red oxide primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint to all steel surfaces including disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exc 50 m complete all as specified and as directed.
