Designing, providing, constructing, hydraulic testing, commissioning and giving satisfactorily trial run for 3 months of 1.00 MLD capacity STP with Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) Technology consisting of Inlet Chamber, Screen Chamber, Grit Chamber, Distribution Chamber and SBR Basins, Sludge Sump, Chlorine Contact Tank/ UV Disinfection, Chlorinator Room/ UV Channel, Sludge Dewatering Equipment, necessary piping work with required valves, gates, drains, pathways, Administration Block cum Laboratory, Laboratory Equipments inclusive of mandatory spare parts and instrumentation, Internal Roads, Pathways, compound wall, Tools and Plants, complete as turnkey job with all involved civil, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical works inclusive of following items, units as per detailed specifications for civil, electrical and mechanical components etc., complete to achieve the norms prescribed by the Hon'ble NGT / CPCB/ TGPCB (pH-5.5 to 9.0, BOD < 10ppm, COD<50 ppm, TSS<20ppm, Total Nitrogen < 10, Total Phosphorous < 1.0, Faecal Coliform (Most Probable Number) < 100) to get recyclable quality of water for industrial/agricultural purposes/ discharge into water bodies as well as land disposal/ applications. PRIMARY TREATMENT
Inlet Chamber: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) inlet chamber for the peak flow as per CPHEEO Manual including necessary excavation in all types of strata (excluding rock) including walkway all around the periphery, Inlet chamber having minimum Hydraulic Retention Time of 60 seconds, each compartment shall be provided with steel gates with extension rod, head stock operating wheels. SS pipe railing etc. including providing and making necessary arrangements to connect the flow to screen chamber by approach channel as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Screen Chamber: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) 2 Nos. approach channels (min 4.5 m long), mechanically cleaned bar rack screen (6 mm clear opening 10 mm flats). Escalator screens, with 100% standby manual fine screen (10 mm clear opening) MOC SS316, CI sluice gates (one before screen & one after screen) designed as per CPHEEO Manual, including inlet pipe/channel from inlet chamber, outlet pipe/channel to grit chamber, free board of 500mm minimum, RCC walkway 1.2m wide with SS pipe railing. RCC stair case of 1.2 m width from GL to screen chamber with operating platform and belt conveyor system including panel & push bottom switch at local level as well as MCC room for two way control. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
Grit Chamber: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) Grit Chamber - Detritus upto 5 MLD with 100% standby, vortex type / aerated type above 5 MLD with 100% standby, mechanically operated capable of removing 100% of 0.2 mm size particle and above, having specific gravity 2.40, Hydraulic Retention Time of 1 minute at average flow, horizontal velocity not exceeding 0.30 m/sec at peak flow with suitable arrangement of separation of grit from putrescible solids. Inlet and outlet channels of required sizes shall be provided to connect the flow to connecting unit etc. complete including Hydraulic testing for water tightness of structure having minimum Free Board of 300 mm, wash out arrangement to Grit chamber and platform of 1.2 m width, RCC walkway with SS pipe railing shall be provided. A pit for collecting grit conveyed by conveyor shall be provided. It should be suitable to handle the grit for carting. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
Parshall flume having head loss limited to 150 mm with necessary flow measuring devices/meter consisting of digital indicator in LPS & MLD
SECONDARY TREATMENT
SBR Basins: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) SBR basins for biological removal of BOD along with built-in nitrificationde- nitrification. Bio-P removal in compartments to handle combine flow of 1 Dry Weather average incoming flow and recirculation flow including construction of selector compartments and providing 1.2 m wide clear approach walkways with SS Railing, expansion joints wherever necessary, including foundations etc. as per specifications. F/M ratio shall be 0.15, complete with air blowers, fine diffused aeration grid with Fixed type installation equipment and Free board of 500 mm and Side Water Depth as per technology provider. Dissolved Oxygen level in basin to be maintained minimum 2 mg/l complete with "Oxygen Uptake Rate" control system and all related instruments. Stainless steel SS 304 decanters and automation works, MLSS concentrations shall be 3000-6000 mg/l, MLVSS to MLSS ratio shall be 0.6-0.7. HRT shall be minimum of 13.5 hrs and SRT suitable for fully digested sludge. SBR process shall have independent steps like Fill & aeration, Settling (Sedimentation/clarification), Decanting as per the design of the technology provider. Suitable decanting depth shall be provided as per design. The decanting device shall be a rotating moving arm device with top mounted gear box, drive, scum guard, down comers, collection pipe, bearings. The following types of decanter assemblies are not acceptable: Rope Driven Decanters, Floating Decanters, GRP Products, Valve Arrangement. The system should work on a gravity influent condition. No influent/effluent equalization tanks or flash filling is accepted. It should have all other related works. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. SRT shall be suitably provided to achieve N, P removal. Suitable capacity sludge pumps to be installed in SBR basins for pumping sludge into sludge thickener, wherever required. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Process Air Blowers or Aspirator Aerator: The Plant should be based on Dissolved Oxygen/Oxygen Uptake Rate Control with VFD driven Aeration Device along with acoustic hood. The Aeration System shall be designed for 110 % Capacity of the design Air requirement. The aeration Blower/aeration Device shall be having 50% installed standby unit. Air diffuser shall be of disc/tubular type, fixed. The wetted part of the aeration system of non-corrosive materials such as UPVC (upto 200mm dia) /SS 304 (for dia more than 200mm). The non wetted part of the aeration system shall be of MS material. Blowers shall be housed in process air blower building. The minimum area of building is 20 sq.m, and height of 5m (min). Surface aerators are not acceptable. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
DISINFECTION WITH GAS CHLORINATOR OR UV DISINFECTION
Chlorine Contact Tank: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) Chlorine contact chamber of adequate capacity to deal with 1 DWF average flow. The chlorine contact tank shall be designed for a hydraulic retention time of minimum 30 minutes, during average flow to achieve 99.99% coliform reduction. Chlorine dose shall be maintained as per standard provisions, including designing, providing and constructing water supply provision for chlorination, including providing dewatering and by pass arrangement jointing to final effluent mains and outlet weir etc. complete. The effluent quality shall match with the standards laid down by Hon'ble NGT norms/ CPCB/ TGPCB and as per obligatory provision and as detailed specification. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
Chlorinator and Chlorinator Room/Tonner Room: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) Chlorinator room of required size with 2 Nos. (1 working + 1 stand by) of vacuum type chlorinators with auto switch over facility and having capacity for dosage of adequate chlorine to ensure 99.99% coliform reduction as per obligatory provisions and detailed specifications. The chlorinator equipment shall include cost of chlorine cylinders/tonner, piping, valves, measuring and controlling equipment, safety devices, lifting equipment, etc. complete as per IS -10553 (part II) 1982. The tonner room should have minimum 3 MT capacity Hoist for loading and unloading facility. Tonner storage should be distinctly isolated and should be for minimum storage space as directed in the design specification and as per gas laws 1981 and factory act shall be provided.
All other matching amenities shall be provided, Minimum 5 MT gantry rail shall be provided for full length of tonner room at 6 m height from level of tonner room, with outlet chamber and treated effluent outlet channel etc. complete as per detailed specification. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
UV DISINFECTION SYSTEM : Designing, Providing and Installation of a UV disinfection system complete with UV Lamp banks, power distribution centres, System Control Cabinet (CC) with minimum 7” HMI, Level Controller(s), Integrated Lamp bank rack-systems for easy installation and maintenance as required as per the US EPA UV Disinfection Guidance Manual (2006) and IUVA Uniform Protocol for complete disinfection to suit the effluent norms specified above.MoC for submerged components : SS 316 L, For non submerged components and coming in contact with sewage : SS 316, All wiring exposed to UV light shall be rubber coated.Effluent Level Controller: a. Motorized Weir Gate or equivalent.Ultrasonic Water Level Sensor: One low water level sensor for each UV channel, before and after UV.Low Water Level Sensor: One low water level sensor for each UV lamp bank that can shut off the UV lamps in case of water level drops and lamps would be in air.The secondary treated sewage shall be led to UV channel for disinfection. The UV system shall comprise of a complete and operational open channel, gravity flow, ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system. The system shall be complete with UV Lamp (Low Pressure High Output (LPHO) UV Lamps shall be minimum 350 W low pressure amalgam design with minimum UVC efficiency of 50%), electrical cabinets housing the electronic ballasts, power distribution, and system control, UV detection system, automatic mechanical wiping system and water level control device(s) / weir, etc. Suitable outlet arrangement shall be provided to ensure required submergence of UV lamps at all times. The objective of the UV is to disinfect the secondary OR final treated effluent and having minimum 99.99% disinfection efficiency (i.e. 3-Log reduction or better as required to achieve the fecal coliform level as specified in treated sewage outlet quality requirement) for destruction of all coli forms and other pathogenic micro-organisms.All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
UV Channel: Channel to be constructed in M30 grade RCC. The inside surface of the UV Channel shall be provided with 20 mm thick water proof plaster in Cement mortar 1:3. The bottom of the tank shall be provided with 50 mm thick screeding. The outside surface shall be provided with 20 mm thick double coat Sand phased plaster in cement mortar 1:3 with paint as per civil specification. Min. 1.2 m walkway on sides and operating platforms as required shall be provided. Min. 1 m high GI/SS handrails shall be provided. An RCC shed with lifting arrangement for UV system as per design shall be provided. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Sludge treatment
Sludge Thickner with equipments: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade sludge thickener-gravity type (picket fence) with Solids loading rate of 25-35 kg/m2/day with inlet & outlet pipes, central feed well, sludge it & sludge removal arrangement, grouting wherever necessary with walkway all around of 1.20m with SS pipe railing interconnecting DI pipes all complete as per specifications having bottom slope 1:6 & min 4.5m Side Water Depth with necessary fixed bridge scraper arrangement as per detailed specifications & necessary intet & outlet arrangement. All other arrangement as per detailed specifications (Sludge thickener not required for capacity upto 10 MLD, one for more than 10 MLD upto 50 MLD and two units for more than 50 MLD), Min sludge concentration in thickened sludge shall be 5%. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. MoC for MS frame: Mild Steel Epoxy Coating All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Sludge Holding Sump cum pump house: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) sludge sump cum pump house of appropriate size with suitable capacity pump sets, suitable ceiling height over sump for discharging sludge to centrifuge using DI pipe with High Alumina coating complete as per detailed specification. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
Sludge Dewatering Equipment Room with Centrifuge / belt press / screw press / Filter Press / Combi machine: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) Sludge Dewatering Equipment Room and installation of Centrifuge / belt press / screw press / Filter Press / Combi- machine to handle the sludge flow as per specifications, with appropriate inlet and outlet provision, sludge dewatering unit drain etc. complete as per specifications. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Sludge/ filtrate Pumps
a) Capacity to pump sludge in 1 hour with 100% standby (20- 25% efficiency, "C" value to be adopted 50% than that of water to calculate friction loss)
b) Filtrate from thickening and dewatering to be conveyed only by PVC 10 Kg/sq.cm
Suitable diameter of DI D/F PN 16 shall be provided for Inlet, Outlet, wash water inlet as per approved make/brand
All types of gauges and meters shall be provided as per the requirement for O&M as per design and specifications of approved make/brand.
Necessary Instrumentation and control as per specifications
Outfall Sewer: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of appropriate outfall sewer of RCC S/S NP3 pipe with High Alumina Coating to discharge treated effluent from outlet chamber after chlorination tank to the disposal point of outlet battery limit of STP including necessary chambers for inspection and cleaning, including necessary excavation, dewatering, refilling, concrete encasing/bedding concrete, steps to reach the disposal/ nallah bed level, pitching and energy dissipation chamber in nallah portion etc. complete up to 100 m length RCC S/S NP3 pipe line and including all above items.All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
By pass arrangements: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of suitable capacity of RCC S/S NP3 pipes with High Alumina Coating with manholes and CI sluice gates (MH to be raised above TWL of adjacent unit) All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Piping work in DI K7 Class including DI Sluice valves, DI Reflux Valves, MS Gates: Providing laying and jointing pipes other than those already included in the above items for interconnection by-pass drains etc of all units including adequate numbers of manhole chambers. The item includes excavation, refilling and hydraulic testing of pipes, valves, gates, accessories and cost of jointing materials. The items includes required channels with gates for interconnection of units by pass drains etc. for all units as directed etc. complete as per detailed specifications All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Administrative Building cum Laboratory (G+1) (minimum built up area of 100 sqm): Designing, providing and constructing adminstrative building, office cum Laboratory including stores. This shall be a bulding having appropriate carpet area and ground foor and a first floor complete as per specifications including necessary excavation, foundation, all structural components in VRCC M20 grade, Brick masonry (in CM 1:3) with flyash blocks, outside plastering 20mm thick in 2 coats (16 mm in CM 1:6 and 4 mm in CM 1:4), inside and ceiling plastering 12 mm thick in CM 1:3, inside and outside painting with acrylic emulsion paint 2 coats over primer coat, Aluminium door and window with glass panels, virtified tiles flooring and skirting and all other allied items, fixtures, fastening, electrification arrangement, water supply arrangement etc. complete as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.

General Infrastructure Development: Designing, providing and constructing general infrastructure development such as internal CC roads of minimum 4.5 mtr wide, internal and external lighting, pathways of minimum 1.5 m wide to access at STP units and Entrance Gate in MS etc. all complete as per specifications, approved drawings and directed by Engineer in Charge
Internal roads: Cement Concrete pavements of M30 grade with minimum 3 m internal road and 4.5m for Main road to connect all units from main gate of plot
Compound Wall as per the plant layout with footings, columns at 3.6m spacing, plinth beam, brick wall with flyash blocks, internal and external plastering, painting with acrylic emulsion paints 2 coats over primer coat, along the boundary of STP site for a minimum length of 150m. If the compound wall length is increased by over 150m, the extra length shall be paid by the department as per actual measurements, specifications. NOTES: 1. Fine screens (SS 316) are of mechanically cleaned type for working unit and manual bar screen type (SS316) for standby unit. For STP capacities upto 2 MLD, manual screens shall be considered for working and standby units. 2. Upto 5 MLD Capacity STP chlorination may be done by using sodium hypochlorite solution. Construction of STPs with Sequential Batch Reactor Technology (SBR TECHNOLOGY)
Designing, providing, constructing, hydraulic testing, commissioning and giving satisfactorily trial run for 3 months of 1.50 MLD capacity STP with Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) Technology consisting of Inlet Chamber, Screen Chamber, Grit Chamber, Distribution Chamber and SBR Basins, Sludge Sump, Chlorine Contact Tank/ UV Disinfection, Chlorinator Room/ UV Channel, Sludge Dewatering Equipment, necessary piping work with required valves, gates, drains, pathways, Administration Block cum Laboratory, Laboratory Equipments inclusive of mandatory spare parts and instrumentation, Internal Roads, Pathways, compound wall, Tools and Plants, complete as turnkey job with all involved civil, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical works inclusive of following items, units as per detailed specifications for civil, electrical and mechanical components etc., complete to achieve the norms prescribed by the Hon'ble NGT / CPCB/ TGPCB (pH-5.5 to 9.0, BOD < 10ppm, COD<50 ppm, TSS<20ppm, Total Nitrogen < 10, Total Phosphorous < 1.0, Faecal Coliform (Most Probable Number) < 100) to get recyclable quality of water for industrial/agricultural purposes/ discharge into water bodies as well as land disposal/ applications. PRIMARY TREATMENT
Inlet Chamber: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) inlet chamber for the peak flow as per CPHEEO Manual including necessary excavation in all types of strata (excluding rock) including walkway all around the periphery, Inlet chamber having minimum Hydraulic Retention Time of 60 seconds, each compartment shall be provided with steel gates with extension rod, head stock operating wheels. SS pipe railing etc. including providing and making necessary arrangements to connect the flow to screen chamber by approach channel as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Screen Chamber: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) 2 Nos. approach channels (min 4.5 m long), mechanically cleaned bar rack screen (6 mm clear opening 10 mm flats). Escalator screens, with 100% standby manual fine screen (10 mm clear opening) MOC SS316, CI sluice gates (one before screen & one after screen) designed as per CPHEEO Manual, including inlet pipe/channel from inlet chamber, outlet pipe/channel to grit chamber, free board of 500mm minimum, RCC walkway 1.2m wide with SS pipe railing. RCC stair case of 1.2 m width from GL to screen chamber with operating platform and belt conveyor system including panel & push bottom switch at local level as well as MCC room for two way control. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
Grit Chamber: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) Grit Chamber - Detritus upto 5 MLD with 100% standby, vortex type / aerated type above 5 MLD with 100% standby, mechanically operated capable of removing 100% of 0.2 mm size particle and above, having specific gravity 2.40, Hydraulic Retention Time of 1 minute at average flow, horizontal velocity not exceeding 0.30 m/sec at peak flow with suitable arrangement of separation of grit from putrescible solids. Inlet and outlet channels of required sizes shall be provided to connect the flow to connecting unit etc. complete including Hydraulic testing for water tightness of structure having minimum Free Board of 300 mm, wash out arrangement to Grit chamber and platform of 1.2 m width, RCC walkway with SS pipe railing shall be provided. A pit for collecting grit conveyed by conveyor shall be provided. It should be suitable to handle the grit for carting. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
Parshall flume having head loss limited to 150 mm with necessary flow measuring devices/meter consisting of digital indicator in LPS & MLD
SECONDARY TREATMENT
SBR Basins: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) SBR basins for biological removal of BOD along with built-in nitrificationde- nitrification. Bio-P removal in compartments to handle combine flow of 1 Dry Weather average incoming flow and recirculation flow including construction of selector compartments and providing 1.2 m wide clear approach walkways with SS Railing, expansion joints wherever necessary, including foundations etc. as per specifications. F/M ratio shall be 0.15, complete with air blowers, fine diffused aeration grid with Fixed type installation equipment and Free board of 500 mm and Side Water Depth as per technology provider. Dissolved Oxygen level in basin to be maintained minimum 2 mg/l complete with "Oxygen Uptake Rate" control system and all related instruments. Stainless steel SS 304 decanters and automation works, MLSS concentrations shall be 3000-6000 mg/l, MLVSS to MLSS ratio shall be 0.6-0.7. HRT shall be minimum of 13.5 hrs and SRT suitable for fully digested sludge. SBR process shall have independent steps like Fill & aeration, Settling (Sedimentation/clarification), Decanting as per the design of the technology provider. Suitable decanting depth shall be provided as per design. The decanting device shall be a rotating moving arm device with top mounted gear box, drive, scum guard, down comers, collection pipe, bearings. The following types of decanter assemblies are not acceptable: Rope Driven Decanters, Floating Decanters, GRP Products, Valve Arrangement. The system should work on a gravity influent condition. No influent/effluent equalization tanks or flash filling is accepted. It should have all other related works. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. SRT shall be suitably provided to achieve N, P removal. Suitable capacity sludge pumps to be installed in SBR basins for pumping sludge into sludge thickener, wherever required. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Process Air Blowers or Aspirator Aerator: The Plant should be based on Dissolved Oxygen/Oxygen Uptake Rate Control with VFD driven Aeration Device along with acoustic hood. The Aeration System shall be designed for 110 % Capacity of the design Air requirement. The aeration Blower/aeration Device shall be having 50% installed standby unit. Air diffuser shall be of disc/tubular type, fixed. The wetted part of the aeration system of non-corrosive materials such as UPVC (upto 200mm dia) /SS 304 (for dia more than 200mm). The non wetted part of the aeration system shall be of MS material. Blowers shall be housed in process air blower building. The minimum area of building is 20 sq.m, and height of 5m (min). Surface aerators are not acceptable. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
DISINFECTION WITH GAS CHLORINATOR OR UV DISINFECTION
Chlorine Contact Tank: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) Chlorine contact chamber of adequate capacity to deal with 1 DWF average flow. The chlorine contact tank shall be designed for a hydraulic retention time of minimum 30 minutes, during average flow to achieve 99.99% coliform reduction. Chlorine dose shall be maintained as per standard provisions, including designing, providing and constructing water supply provision for chlorination, including providing dewatering and by pass arrangement jointing to final effluent mains and outlet weir etc. complete. The effluent quality shall match with the standards laid down by Hon'ble NGT norms/ CPCB/ TGPCB and as per obligatory provision and as detailed specification. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
Chlorinator and Chlorinator Room/Tonner Room: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) Chlorinator room of required size with 2 Nos. (1 working + 1 stand by) of vacuum type chlorinators with auto switch over facility and having capacity for dosage of adequate chlorine to ensure 99.99% coliform reduction as per obligatory provisions and detailed specifications. The chlorinator equipment shall include cost of chlorine cylinders/tonner, piping, valves, measuring and controlling equipment, safety devices, lifting equipment, etc. complete as per IS -10553 (part II) 1982. The tonner room should have minimum 3 MT capacity Hoist for loading and unloading facility. Tonner storage should be distinctly isolated and should be for minimum storage space as directed in the design specification and as per gas laws 1981 and factory act shall be provided.
All other matching amenities shall be provided, Minimum 5 MT gantry rail shall be provided for full length of tonner room at 6 m height from level of tonner room, with outlet chamber and treated effluent outlet channel etc. complete as per detailed specification. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
UV DISINFECTION SYSTEM : Designing, Providing and Installation of a UV disinfection system complete with UV Lamp banks, power distribution centres, System Control Cabinet (CC) with minimum 7” HMI, Level Controller(s), Integrated Lamp bank rack-systems for easy installation and maintenance as required as per the US EPA UV Disinfection Guidance Manual (2006) and IUVA Uniform Protocol for complete disinfection to suit the effluent norms specified above.MoC for submerged components : SS 316 L, For non submerged components and coming in contact with sewage : SS 316, All wiring exposed to UV light shall be rubber coated.Effluent Level Controller: a. Motorized Weir Gate or equivalent.Ultrasonic Water Level Sensor: One low water level sensor for each UV channel, before and after UV.Low Water Level Sensor: One low water level sensor for each UV lamp bank that can shut off the UV lamps in case of water level drops and lamps would be in air.The secondary treated sewage shall be led to UV channel for disinfection. The UV system shall comprise of a complete and operational open channel, gravity flow, ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system. The system shall be complete with UV Lamp (Low Pressure High Output (LPHO) UV Lamps shall be minimum 350 W low pressure amalgam design with minimum UVC efficiency of 50%), electrical cabinets housing the electronic ballasts, power distribution, and system control, UV detection system, automatic mechanical wiping system and water level control device(s) / weir, etc. Suitable outlet arrangement shall be provided to ensure required submergence of UV lamps at all times. The objective of the UV is to disinfect the secondary OR final treated effluent and having minimum 99.99% disinfection efficiency (i.e. 3-Log reduction or better as required to achieve the fecal coliform level as specified in treated sewage outlet quality requirement) for destruction of all coli forms and other pathogenic micro-organisms.All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
UV Channel: Channel to be constructed in M30 grade RCC. The inside surface of the UV Channel shall be provided with 20 mm thick water proof plaster in Cement mortar 1:3. The bottom of the tank shall be provided with 50 mm thick screeding. The outside surface shall be provided with 20 mm thick double coat Sand phased plaster in cement mortar 1:3 with paint as per civil specification. Min. 1.2 m walkway on sides and operating platforms as required shall be provided. Min. 1 m high GI/SS handrails shall be provided. An RCC shed with lifting arrangement for UV system as per design shall be provided. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Sludge treatment
Sludge Thickner with equipments: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade sludge thickener-gravity type (picket fence) with Solids loading rate of 25-35 kg/m2/day with inlet & outlet pipes, central feed well, sludge it & sludge removal arrangement, grouting wherever necessary with walkway all around of 1.20m with SS pipe railing interconnecting DI pipes all complete as per specifications having bottom slope 1:6 & min 4.5m Side Water Depth with necessary fixed bridge scraper arrangement as per detailed specifications & necessary intet & outlet arrangement. All other arrangement as per detailed specifications (Sludge thickener not required for capacity upto 10 MLD, one for more than 10 MLD upto 50 MLD and two units for more than 50 MLD), Min sludge concentration in thickened sludge shall be 5%. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. MoC for MS frame: Mild Steel Epoxy Coating All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Sludge Holding Sump cum pump house: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) sludge sump cum pump house of appropriate size with suitable capacity pump sets, suitable ceiling height over sump for discharging sludge to centrifuge using DI pipe with High Alumina coating complete as per detailed specification. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
Sludge Dewatering Equipment Room with Centrifuge / belt press / screw press / Filter Press / Combi machine: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of VRCC M 30 grade (with sulphate resistant cement) Sludge Dewatering Equipment Room and installation of Centrifuge / belt press / screw press / Filter Press / Combi- machine to handle the sludge flow as per specifications, with appropriate inlet and outlet provision, sludge dewatering unit drain etc. complete as per specifications. All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Sludge/ filtrate Pumps
a) Capacity to pump sludge in 1 hour with 100% standby (20- 25% efficiency, "C" value to be adopted 50% than that of water to calculate friction loss)
b) Filtrate from thickening and dewatering to be conveyed only by PVC 10 Kg/sq.cm
Suitable diameter of DI D/F PN 16 shall be provided for Inlet, Outlet, wash water inlet as per approved make/brand
All types of gauges and meters shall be provided as per the requirement for O&M as per design and specifications of approved make/brand.

Outfall Sewer: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of appropriate outfall sewer of RCC S/S NP3 pipe with High Alumina Coating to discharge treated effluent from outlet chamber after chlorination tank to the disposal point of outlet battery limit of STP including necessary chambers for inspection and cleaning, including necessary excavation, dewatering, refilling, concrete encasing/bedding concrete, steps to reach the disposal/ nallah bed level, pitching and energy dissipation chamber in nallah portion etc. complete up to 100 m length RCC S/S NP3 pipe line and including all above items.All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge
By pass arrangements: Design, construction, testing and commissioning of suitable capacity of RCC S/S NP3 pipes with High Alumina Coating with manholes and CI sluice gates (MH to be raised above TWL of adjacent unit) All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Piping work in DI K7 Class including DI Sluice valves, DI Reflux Valves, MS Gates: Providing laying and jointing pipes other than those already included in the above items for interconnection by-pass drains etc of all units including adequate numbers of manhole chambers. The item includes excavation, refilling and hydraulic testing of pipes, valves, gates, accessories and cost of jointing materials. The items includes required channels with gates for interconnection of units by pass drains etc. for all units as directed etc. complete as per detailed specifications All arrangements shall be as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Administrative Building cum Laboratory (G+1) (minimum built up area of 100 sqm): Designing, providing and constructing adminstrative building, office cum Laboratory including stores. This shall be a bulding having appropriate carpet area and ground foor and a first floor complete as per specifications including necessary excavation, foundation, all structural components in VRCC M20 grade, Brick masonry (in CM 1:3) with flyash blocks, outside plastering 20mm thick in 2 coats (16 mm in CM 1:6 and 4 mm in CM 1:4), inside and ceiling plastering 12 mm thick in CM 1:3, inside and outside painting with acrylic emulsion paint 2 coats over primer coat, Aluminium door and window with glass panels, virtified tiles flooring and skirting and all other allied items, fixtures, fastening, electrification arrangement, water supply arrangement etc. complete as per approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.

General Infrastructure Development: Designing, providing and constructing general infrastructure development such as internal CC roads of minimum 4.5 mtr wide, internal and external lighting, pathways of minimum 1.5 m wide to access at STP units and Entrance Gate in MS etc. all complete as per specifications, approved drawings and directed by Engineer in Charge
Internal roads: Cement Concrete pavements of M30 grade with minimum 3 m internal road and 4.5m for Main road to connect all units from main gate of plot
Compound Wall as per the plant layout with footings, columns at 3.6m spacing, plinth beam, brick wall with flyash blocks, internal and external plastering, painting with acrylic emulsion paints 2 coats over primer coat, along the boundary of STP site for a minimum length of 150m. If the compound wall length is increased by over 150m, the extra length shall be paid by the department as per actual measurements, specifications. Work shall be executed as per specifications, approved drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Water retaining wall cost is extra for the site HFL is above ground Level
Green Belt (33% landscaping area) as per standard practice
OCEMS: Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of Online Continuous Effluent Monitoring System (OCEMS) Instruments measuring the parameters pH, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Suspended Solids(TSS), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Residual Chlorine etc. and Smart Controller and Data logger, UPS backup. Flow reading from the existing flow meter and UV reading The specification of the Controllers, Probes/Sensors, Server for centralized data connectivity for the OCEMS, Calibration of OCEMS, OCEMS Function check, Continuous Validation of OCEMS shall be designed, manufactured, constructed and tested in accordance with latest revision of the relevant Standards, CPHEEO manual and in compliance with the latest guidelines for Online Continuous Effluent Monitoring Systems (OCEMS) of CPCB, Hon'ble NGT
NOTES: 1. Fine screens (SS 316) are of mechanically cleaned type for working unit and manual bar screen type (SS316) for standby unit. For STP capacities upto 2 MLD, manual screens shall be considered for working and standby units. 2. Upto 5 MLD Capacity STP chlorination may be done by using sodium hypochlorite solution. Above 5 MLD capacity Disinfection - Gas chlorinator/ UV Disinfection to be provided. 3. The cost of sewage pumping station and rising main is not included 4. Makes of equipment shall be approved by concerned department. 5. Grade of steel used is Fe 500/500D/550D Category-A Steel from major Steel Manufacturers including PSUs with minimum installed Production Capacity above 10 Lakh MT Per annum ( SAIL, VSP STEEL, TATA, JINDAL PANTHER) for all components. 6. Sulphate Resistant Cement shall be used for all the water retaining structures. 7. Peak factor shall be considered as 3.00 for contributory population upto 20,000; 2.50 for population above 20,001 to 50,000; 2.25 for population above 50,001 to 7,50,000 and 2.00 for population above 7,50,001.
8. The rates mentioned above STP are considering sites falling in Seismic Zone upto II. For sites falling in seismic zone III shall be increased by 3%. 9. SBC considered is 10 t/m2. Soil stabilization if required shall be paid extra as per actuals. 10. The agency shall submit detailed designs and drawings for all the components and the same shall be approved by the department concerned prior to grounding the work. 11. Hydraulic design of the plant shall be considered with free fall discharge of treated sewage to local water body (above HFL), Hydraulic loss shall be worked out for peak flow condition and shall not exceed 4.5m in any circumstances unless otherwise site specific condition and approved by the department. 12. Scope includes excavation, refiling and carting away any unwanted material as directed by the Engineer in Charge. 13. All other details shall be as per design criteria and detailed specifications as approved by the Engineer in Charge. 14. QAPof equipment shall be approved by concerned department. 15. Base Rates considered for Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) is Rs. 5100/MT, Sulphate Resistant Cement (SRC) is Rs. 7000/MT and Category A Steel is Rs. 57,000/MT. These rates shall be considered as base rates for considering Price Variation. However, monthly variation in cement and steel shall not be considered while sanctioning the estimates for this component
