WATERPROOFING OF BUILDINGS IN GAIL VIJAIPUR PLANT PREMISES AND TOWNSHIP

Demolishing CC: Demolishing cement concrete, brick work, brick bat, foam concrete by manually/ mechanical means Including removal of existing waterproofing / APP membrane, including stacking of serviceable material along with disposal of material at any lead and level as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Dismantling Plaster: Dismantling old plaster or skirting raking out joints and cleaning the surface including removal of existing waterproofing / APP membrane including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within GAIL plant premises at any lead and level as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Cement Concrete: Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size derived from natural sources) at all level and depth as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Brickbat Waterproofing: Providing and laying integral cement based BrickBat Coba layer With average thickness of 120 mm and minimum thickness at khurra as 65 mm consisting of following operations: 1. Applying a slurry coat of neat cement using 2.75 kg/sqm of cment admixed with water proofing compound over the RCC slab including adjoining walls upto 300 mm height including cleaning the surface before treatment. 2. Laying brick bats with mortar using broken bricks/brick bats 25 mm to 115 mm size with 50% of cement mortar 1:5 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound over 20 mm thick layer of cement mortar of mix 1:5 (1 cement :5 coarse sand ) admixed with water proofing compound to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls upto 300 mm height including rounding of junctions of walls and slabs. 3. After two days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry using 2.75 kg/ sqm of cement admixed with water proofing compound. 4. Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick jointless cement mortar of mix 1:4 (1 cement :4 coarse sand) admixed with water proofing compound including laying glass fibre cloth of approved quality in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slurry and making pattern of 300x300 mm square 3 mm deep. 5. The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of two weeks for curing and for final test. “All above operations to be done in order, confirming to IS 2645 and as directed and specified by the Engineer-in-Charge

Water proofing material: Extra for providing and mixing water proofing material in cement concrete work in doses by weight of cement as per manufacturer's specification. (EA = qty. used for per 50 kg cement bag.) as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Cement Plaster 12mm: Providing and laying 12 mm thick cement plaster of mix : 1:4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand) at all level and depth as per direction of Engineer-in-charge

Cement Plaster 18mm: Providing and laying 18 mm cement plaster in two coats under layer 12 mm thick cement plaster 1:5 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand) finished with a top layer 6 mm thick cement plaster 1:6 (1 cement : 6 fine sand) at all level and depth as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Crack Repair: Making V grove of 5 mm wide and 5 mm deep over crack line, cleaning the grove and sealing of prepared V grove with solvent free, moisture tolerant, thixotropic, two part structural adhesive and epoxy repair mortar cum surface levelling mortar . The compressive strngth of mortar shall be >= 60 N/mm2 and bond strength >=10 N/mm2. (Make: NitoMortar S Fosroc/ Sikadur -31 of SIka or equivalent) complete as per direction of EIC.

Waterproofing Coat: 1. Surface preparation prior to waterproofing application as per detailed technical specification. 2.Providing and applying one coat of PU/Epoxy based primer of approved make (Asian Paint Smart Care/Berger Home Shield/Nerolac Perma/Sika) as per product specification. 3. Providing and applying first coat of PU based waterproofing liquid membrane of approved make (Asian Paint Smart Care/Berger Home Shield/Nerolac Perma/Sika) as per product specification. 4. Providing and fixing of corner joint tape of approved make (AsianPaint /Berger/Nerolac Perma/Sika) as per product specification. 5. Providing and applying second coat of PU based waterproofing liquid membrane of approved make (Asian Paint Smart Care/Berger Home Shield/Nerolac Perma/Sika) perpendicular to first coat as per product specification. Work to be executed as per product specs. and direction of EIC. The product may be applied in both vertical surface (wall/parapet) and horizontal surface (roof/chhajja/shade, etc.) as per requirement and as per technical specs. without any extra payment. Note: All the above-mentioned products must be of same make. E.g. Primer+ Waterproofing coat must be of same brand."

UPVC pipe 110 mm Dia: Providing and fixing on wall face unplasticised Rigid PVC rain water pipes conforming to IS : 13592 Type A, including jointing with seal ring conforming to IS : 5382, leaving 10 mm gap for thermal expansion, (i) Single socketed pipes 110 mm diameter. including removal of old Rain water pipe if required, as per direction of Engineer in charge.
