PROVN OF DG SET 10 KV FOR SECURITY LIGHT WITH STAND BY POWER AT SUJANPUR UNDER GE (WEST) PATHANKOT

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of silent type diesel engine driven generating set of capacity 10 KVA,(developing 18.7 BHP at 1500rpm under NTP condition of BS:5514), three phase, 415 Volts, mounted on common base frame with AVM pads, coupled with silencer pipe suitably protected and supported as per manufacturer's recommendation and design, cold starting kit, battery start with suitable cables for connection from DG Set to panel board, complete with integral acoustic enclosure as per latest standard of central pollution control board and including the following :-

(A) PRIME MOVER :- Vertical diesel engine of capacity after derating to give output for 10 KVA alternator water cooled as per BS 5514 IS- 4722. The DG Set shall be capable of running 24 Hrs continuously with 10% overloading for one hour in every 12 hours as per BS-5514/ BS-649. Engine shall be equipped with all standard fittings as per manufacturer's recommendations and mounted on common base frame with following fittings:- (a) Fuel system with mechanical governor. (b) Safety control (trip) for the following:- (i) Low Lubricating oil pressure gauge (ii) Over speed (c) 12 Volt starting equipment comprising of the following :- (i) One no 12 volts suitable AH battery.(maintenance free) (ii) Battery charging alternator with inbuilt regulator. (iii) Electric starter motor of suitable capacity (iv) Battery leads (copper cable ) of suitable size with brass thimbles and terminals. (d) Silencer (e) Air cleaner (f) Engine instrument panel with starting switch and key, indication for battery voltage, lub oil pressure, engine speed, engine hour meter, battery voltmeter, indication for safety switch. (g) first fill of lub oil.

(B) ALTERNATOR :- Alternator rating 10 KVA, 3 phase, 50 cycles, 415 volts, 0.8 PF (lag) 4 wire supply at site running 1500 RPM alternator is brushless type, screen protected, self excited, self regulator mounted on strong fabricated steel frame suitable for mounting on a permanenet foundation to be coupled with above engine.The alternator shall be conforming to IS:4722/BS-2613 and will be suitable for operation in tropical conditions.

(C) CONTROL PANEL :- Alternator control panel floor mounted, cubical type with internal connections of suitable capacity copper wire for 10kVA alternator, 415 volts, 3 phase , 4 wire, 50 cycles with auto on off on electric failure and manual setting both fabricated out of 1.6 m thick MS sheet,powder coated for weather proofand long lasting finished including following accessories:- (a) Generator controller relay having microprocessor based fully configurable control unit with graphic display showing engine oil pressure collent temperature , fuel lavel battery voltage engine RPM , DG running hours , generator volts , current, PF, KWHR, KW, RVAR audio visual warning for low oil pressure , high collant temperature , low battery voltage low fuel level , engine over /under speed overload under over voltage , under /over frequency complete. (b) MCCB, suitable range :- 01 No (for incoming) as recommended by the manufacturer. (c) One set of Indicating lamp (RYB) (d) Aluminium bus bar of suitable capacity with incoming and outgoing termination. (e) Instrument fuses duly wired and ferruled. (f) Battery charger : Battery charger having electric circuit consisting of triodes rectifiers, capacitors and resistance etc. The battery charger should be able to charge the battery at all the time whenever electric supply given to battery through contrl panel or electric power point.

(D) FUEL TANK :- In built fuel tank of suitable capacity with base rail as integral fuel tank as per manufacturers instruction of DG set Acoustic enclosure : Acoustic enclosure is made of 14/16 gauge CRCA sheet and ISMC base frame painted. The walls of enclosure will be insulated so as to comply with the 75 dB(A) at 1 mtr sound levels leived by ministry of environment and forest. The enclosure shall have the following provisions :- (a) Fitting arrangement (b) Point for neutral body earthing (c) Fuel drain (d) Lub oil drainage (e) Air breather (f) Hood for rain protection (g) Emergency stop push button (h) Panel meter viewing window

(E) PROVISION OF DG SET FOUNDATION :- PCC 1:2:4 type- B1 (Using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in foundation for DG set of suitable size. Note :- 1. DG set should be sound proof as per latest policy. 2. "First filling of engine oil and fuel etc should be arranged by contractor for testing." 3. The testing of DG set in presence of IEM shall be the responsibilty of the contractor . The cost of fuel for testing of DG set is deemed to be included in the quoated rate.

Supply, laying and testing of cable LT XLPE Insulated, screened, PVC bedded, galvanized steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cables (heavy duty) 1100 Volts grade with stranded aluminium conductor of size 16 sqmm 4 core complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, laying and testing cable LT XLPE Insulated ,screened, PVC bedded, galvanized steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cables (heavy duty) 1100 Volts grade with stranded aluminium conductor of size 35 sqmm 3.5 core complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, laying and testing cable LT XLPE Insulated ,screened, PVC bedded, galvanized steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cables (heavy duty) 1100 Volts grade with stranded aluminium conductor of size 25 sqmm 4 core complete all as specified and directed.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil for laying of cable, pole foundation, stay, laying of pipe etc complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for sand cushioning to under ground cables with a layer of sand 8 cm before laying the cable and 15 cm after laying the cable punned down to 18 cm complete all as specified and directed. (Note :- Punned thickness 18 cm shall be measured for payment.)

Brick covering with width equal to the length of brick as mechanical protection to cable with well burnt sub class 'B' bricks laid complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and deposting where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Notes :- (a) The contract sum shall be arrived at after deduction of amount of Schedule of Credit. (NIL). (b) PERFORMANCE SECURITY :- (Refer condition 19 of IAFW-2249) The performance security for an amount equivalent to 3% (Three percent) of the accepted contract sum shall be delivered by the successful bidder immediately after the date of intimation letter of acceptance and all provisions shall be applicable as per condition 19 of IAFW 2249
