SPECIAL REPAIR REPLACEMENT OF EARTHINGS FOR ELECTRIC SUPPLY INSTALLATION AND CONNECTED WORKS AT RMS

M&L for earthing complete with chemical type with copper earth plate electrode 90cm x 60cm x 5mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 4.5 mtr deep 1.5 mtr width ) with top edge of the plate not less than 3.40 mtr below normal ground level connected to including copper earth strip 50mm x 6 mm size by means of copper brazing strip and layers of salt charcol and BFC including funnel with wire mesh including taking down old unserviceable material and testing on completion complete all as specified and as directed. Note:-(a) Chemical Earthing pits are to be made and connected in a grid to meet the earth resistance specifications of <0.50ohm (b) Earthing to be done in presence of JE/Engr- in - Charge . (c) Charcol small pieces ,Salt (crystel),BFC 100 Kg. (d) Copper strip shall be brazed with copper elctrode plate . (e) Alternate layer of charcol and salts should be laid in the earth pit on the top of the copper plate at least 6 layers should be laid. (f) After laying of the 6 alternate layers of charcol and salts, a two inch layer of BFC to be laid. (g) Copper strip is to be extended to the equipment/transformer it should be fixed with ceramic/porcelain spacers. (h) Contractor shall pour sufficient water in earth pit before starting and after earthing. (j) 20 mm dia GI pipe suitable length to be reach just about copper plate fitted with funnel meshed along with cap running with water tap to be provided for keeping soil wet. (k) Protection of Earth lead should be of suitable size medium grade GI pipe 65mm dia up to Test point deemed to be included in the quoted rates .

Item No. 01 Contd.. (l) Brass nuts and bolts with proper washer to be used for copper strip jointing and necessary brazing shall be done directed. (m) Copper strip beyond 7.5 m shall be measured and paid seperately. (n)The test point of each pit shall be made as directed and the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the qouted rates. (o) The test report should be submitted in triplicate. (p) Construction of earth pit chamber with PCC (1.3.6) type C-1 ( using 20mm gradeed stone aggregate), RCC (1.2.4) type B-1, cover 50mm thick with 8mm dia TMT bar @100mm centre to centre with igting handles of suitable dia complete all as specified and as directed .

Supply and laying 50 mm X 6 mm copper strip at 0.50 metre below ground/ fixed with ceramic/porcelain spacers including connection/ terminating with nut, bolt, spring, washer etc. as required. (Jointing shall be done by overlapping and with 2 sets of brass nut bolt & spring washer spaced at 50mm) complete all as specified and as directed .

M&L for earthing complete with copper earth plate 60cm x 60cm x 3.15mm thick electrode, burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.70 metres deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, connected to copper strip 20 x 3mm size up to test point by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts and washers of copper, including excavation and earth work, PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 pit, 15mm GI pipe medium grade for watering arrangement and 40mm dia GI pipe medium grade for protection of earth lead, 50mm thick RCC (1:2:4) type B-1,cover reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bars @ 15cm C/C both ways and with handle made out of 10mm dia bars, funnel, wire mesh etc. as shown in electrical Plate No. 03 of SSR Part-I connected to earthing test point including taking down old unserviceable material and testing on completion complete all as specified and as directed. Note : (a) The earthing value of each earthing pit should be below 1 Ω (Ohm) (b) Copper strip beyond 7.5 m shall be measured and paid seperately.

Supply and laying 20 mm X3 mm copper strip at 0.50 metre below ground/fixed with ceramic/porcelain spacers,including connection/ terminating with nut, bolt, spring, washer etc. as required. (Jointing shall be done by overlapping and with 2 sets of brass nut bolt & spring washer spaced at 50mm) complete all as specified and as directed .

M&L for Earthing complete with GI earth plate 60cm x 60cm x 6mm thick electrode, burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.70 metres deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, connected to GI strip 32X6mm size up to test point by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts and washers of copper ,including excavation and earth work, PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 pit, GI pipe 15mm dia medium grade for watering arrangement and 40mm bore dia GI pipe medium grade for protection of earth lead, 50mm thick RCC (1:2:4) type B-1 cover, reinforced with 8mm dia TMT bars @ 15cm C/C both ways and with handle made out of 10mm dia bars, funnel, wire mesh etc. as shown in electrical Plate No. 03 of SSR Part-I connected to earthing test point including taking down old unserviceable material and testing on completion complete all as specified and as directed. Supply and laying 32X6 mm GI strip at 0.50 metre below ground/fixed with cremics /porcelain spacers,including connection/ terminating with nut, bolt, spring, washer etc. as required. (Jointing shall be done by overlapping and with 2 sets of brass nut bolt & spring washer spaced at 50mm) complete all as specified and as directed .

Supply, laying and testing in repairs, cable XLPE Insulated ,screened, PVC bedded, galvanized steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cables (heavy duty) 1100 Volts grade with stranded aluminium conductor of size 35 sq mm 3.5 core complete all as specified and as directed .

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m depth and getting out in soft/ loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning filling in trenches including spreading leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick all complete all as specified and as directed.
