M&L for applying 2 coats of polymer-modified flexible cementitious waterproofing membrane coating ready mix (2 parts – Powder Part and liquid part) on new / old concrete surface at 1.10 kg./Sqm/coat for 0.8 mm thick of each coat (or as per manufacturer instruction), over 20 mm th screed in CM 1:4 complete all as specified below (a) Allow new / old concrete and masonry substrate to fully cure prior application. (b) All surfaces must be free from oil, grease, wax, dirt or any other form of foreign matter which might effect adhesion. Spalled Concrete must be sound before applied. (c) Substrate should be reach a "Saturated Surface Dry" (SSD) condition (damp, without standing water) (d) Using Portland mechanical mixer, slowly add Powder part to Liquid part in a clean container until a smooth and homogenous slurry mixture is achieved and allow the mixed slurry to stand for 5-10 minutes for releasing air-trapped during the mixing prior to application. Mixing material must be use within recommend pot life. (e) Polymer-modified flexible cementitious waterproofing membrane coating ready mix slurry can be applied by brush or trowel. DO NOT dilute with water. Recommended coverage rate is approximately 1.1 kg./m2/coat for 0.8 mm. thick of wet film thick (minimum 2 coat.) (f) Allow the slurry to cure for at least 1 hour before applying a second coat.

Removing existing plaster over the affected bricks to be removed using mechanical means. The affected bricks to be completely exposed complete all as specified and directed.

Apparent visible efflorescence to be first cleaned using hard wire brush and all cyrstal deposits to be removed. The bricks shall then be cleaned using soft brush of powdery crystals removed. Then make a 1 to 4 solution of vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 4 parts water) and apply it to the efflorescence affected area using a nylon brush. Allow the vinegar/ water solution to sit on the surface of the affected area for 15 minutes, but do not allow the solution to dry. Rinse the area with clean water, using low pressure jet. Two cycles of cleaning using vinegar water solution to be repeated complete all as specified and directed.

The joints of bricks so cleaned shall be pointed using cement putty made a site using Sika Latex/SBR polymer diluted at ratio of 1:4 with water. The solution so made shall be used to be mixed with cement to make a putty consistency paste. The cement putty shall be then worked out in the joints which are clean and in SSD condition.

The bricks so pointed shall be cleaned of all dust or deposit using brush. A undiluted single component acrylic polymer-Sika Raintite, to be used to prime the brick surface. The primer while being tacky the first coat of water proofing coating is done, second coat is applied after a time interval of 4-6 hours after the first coat has dried. The water proofing coating shall be two component polymer modified cementitious coating-Sika top seal-107, having a thickness of 1.5mm in two coats. The material to be factory batched and ready to use. The two components shall be mixed using low speed drill having a RPM 350-450 and fitted with a paddle. The mixing to be done for 3-4 mintues to give a brush able consistency mix. The coating shall be done using brush 100-150mm wide brush. It is to be take care that material while being used is agitated every 3-5 mintues to avoid powder part getting settled. The water proofing coating shall have below properties Tensile Strength - 4.56 N/mm2 after 14 days exposure (According to ASTM D 2370) Bond Strength 2.0 N/mm2 at + 27o C (failure in substate). After application of second coat and while the material is still wet, coarse sand is sprinkled over the coating so as to ensure proper mechanical key is provided for subsequent plaster.

M&L for plastering 15mm thick over the treated surface shall be done with 1:4 cement sand plaster added with acrylic polymer-Sika Plastocrete Plus, @ 3% by weight of cement.

M&L for raking out old cement jointes for roof tiles and pointing to brick/PCC tiles in roofs in cement mortar 1:3 complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

M&L for Cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1, using 20mm graded stone aggregate as in holdfast blocks/ filling in chowkats complete all as specified and directed.
